Loved the proper short crust pastry pie

Went to see if it was family orientated .with the idea of taking our daughter her children and a few other families there after a football tournament. But it's obviously a pub the lads go to and the language that I heard wasn't good for children .I'm by far a prude as I've done bar work and been in that sort of atmosphere. Shame really as it looked a nice pub ..won't be going back .

Excellent value for money. Great Sunday lunch, roast beef with all the trimmings. Friendly attentive staff but not pushy.

Service very slow. Used the app to order a pint. Had to go back to bar to chase it, some issue or other with notifications. Decor very tired. Food not the best I've had in a Greene King Pub. Not my usual experience of a Greene King. Very disappointed. Won't be calling again.

It's a Lads pub. Football and colourful language. Beer lines need cleaning. You can smell the oil from the fryers in the carpark, which puts you off eating. It did us.

Thoroughly enjoyable lunch with family. Great food, pleasant staff and relaxed atmosphere. Easy parking. Many thanks.

Second time I've been to this pub and both times it was a great experience. Friendly staff great food well worth it. Not usually a pub person but will continue to go here.

We had a absolutely delicious Sunday roast lunch for mother's day. I had the roast beef and it was pretty much perfect. Probably the best roast beef I have ever had. You just have to go to try it.

We saw the reviews and thought ‘This’ll be a nice place for a meal on our short break.’ We walked in the door and were greeted by a scene from Deliverance; but we stayed!! What a bad move that was. ‘You ain’t from around these parts, are ye’ was very much the vibe, from the foam bursting out of the aged leatherette chairs, to the groped teenage girls and their parents, and the steak - how on earth they managed to infuse it with essence of cheesy feet will be forever a wonder in my mind. The dartboard was so old and manky even our darts refused to embed themselves; preferring the stone floor instead. We considered we’d been polite enough (very British), ‘’ow woz erze stake mister?” ‘Oh, yes, erm, really tasty, yes, thank you. Thank you very much!” The following day however, even my stomach voided violently, repeatedly in a dirty protest at the horror done to it. Never again, god help us. NEVER. AGAIN!

Went for a meal to celebrate my grandsons 18th before his huge party! The food was delicious, friendly, polite staff, clean and tidy, we had a great time! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great pub, great staff, tasty food 😋 Yet again the Fox and Hounds delivered. Eaten here several times and never fails to disappoint. Fantastic value for money. Great staff and welcoming. Mix of regulars and passing trade make this a great all rounder. Will be visiting again soon. Well done guys.

Absolutely disgusting! Nothing special and nothing worse when there is no control of their customers. To have homophobic comments made and no intentions of staff sorting it out. I will not be returning!!! Please avoid at all costs!

Pub is great, lots of bandits to gamble on, all bar staff are polite and great people. It’s a great social pub. We come most days after work and food is lovely, tried mostly everything and it’s always piping hot and very tasteful. Glades are always clean and great garden area for the summer. One of the better pubs I’ve been in down here in Tadley.

Great pub great atmosphere food is really nice and good price, they do a deal on food as well. Staff and really friendly, they always have the footy on. All the condiments are Heinz and in bottles not sachets which is a bonus because sachets are annoying, service always comes with a smile off Ceri the bar lady.

Came up with family for some food and to watch some sports really nice pub food was cooked to perfection and staff was very professional would highly recommend this pub definitely will be coming here again

Much Harder to find on a virtual walkabout than you'd think. Very quant and cozy place. Wifi could be better, but the atmosphere and the company are grand.

We travelled up to meet my daughter and son in law..as always service was amazing Staff were extremely friendly . Food was delicious. Beer was fresh. A really lovely place. Always recommend

Just had a Works Christmas Meal here for 19 people (1st December) and it was an absolutely fantastic service. Kerry served us all night our food and drinks, she was incredible, really kept on top of drinks, clearing empty glasses and brought our food out very quickly considering there was so many of us. The food was fantastic, we ate from the Christmas Menu and it really did taste amazing! I had the BBQ chicken strips, Christmas Dinner and Brownie and I can’t fault any of it at all, it all came out hot too which was great. Everyone commented how good the food was and we all had a fantastic evening! The tables were decorated lovely and festive and had Christmas crackers, Santa hats and reindeer headbands which was a great touch and everyone enjoyed wearing them. Drinks from the barman came out very fast too so shout out to him (sorry I forgot his name). All in all we had a great night and will definitely be back. Thanks Again, Chloe

Thought we would support local business and tried to go for lunch. We had tried to book online and by phone without success, Turned up and when we said there would be 10 of us was told they couldn’t do it. Was really rude and we were made to feel very unwelcome. Then said we could eat but would take an hour and a half. A friend then tried to book food and was told to come back when we had a table number. The barman was extremely rude and very unhelpful. Would certainly not return. Shame as was looking for a venue for Christmas meal. The pub wasn’t even busy.

My daughter and I went in for lunch today and we were made most welcome 😃 the food was a really good and good sized portions. The children menu had plenty to offer and a good meal deal too! Thank you to the two Grace’s behind the bar who really did make my little girls day by looking after us so well 😃 will bringing the rest of the family with us next time 👍🏻

Ive been here a couple of times now and always have a great time. Good pub food and decent service. The vibe later in the evening is great, music and dancing ! Great for a village local !

Was served ok but whilst I was eating there was a female member of staff shouting and swearing at a customer because he asked to be served and it was really distracting so won’t be back again as the unprofessional service from the staff here

Took my daughter here for her bday today. First they had no ice, then no glasses, no cold bottled cider. Ordered our meals and told they had no onion rings ( not an issue for us). Meals finally arrived with no salad and there should have been salad on the plates. No Tartar sauce with the scampi. I have no idea why they cannot get it right in this pub. We have given them so many chances to improve. The excuse was the delivery didn't arrive yesterday. No excuse as far as I'm concerned. Sainsburys is directly opposite. We did complain and got a meal off our bill. I would much rather have had a nice meal with our daughter for her bday. I have tried to email you as requested but it isn't going through

Clean, friendly pub with a varied menu and friendly, helpful staff We chose from the Seniors menu and selected 2 courses for £6.99. All food was piping hot and tasty 😋

Despite the pub being so busy due to the beautiful hot weather both Martin and Jasmine serving were excellent keeping a smile on their faces and so polite even when some of the customers were obviously hot and bothered and rude at times . Great service .

Our local pub and we love coming some weekends as a family!! The pub has deffo improved loads the past year and it’s a lovely chill evening in the garden! Even with the kid 🫶🏻

We dropped in for a bit of lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The pub is roomy with a good-sized seating area outside. We opted for the pensioners deal, which was plenty for us and only £6.99 for 2 courses. Friendly atmosphere and staff 🤗

got 2 kids burgers chips and veg took an hour to come and it was cold had 5 chips on each plate beans was cold corn on the cob looked like it was mouldy and looks like someone took a bite out of it !!!!

First visit to the Fox and Hounds to meet old friends A great pub and atmosphere. Marie the landlady made me so welcome whilst I waited for my friends to arrive. Thanks to Marie and the team, we had a great evening. Recommend the Mango and Lime Chicken Tacos.

Lovely pub that caters for all needs. I brought my 20month old daughter who has a severe allergy to dairy. Previous restraints and pubs have given her reactions, whereas the fox and hounds was excellent at making sure her allergy needs were met whilst maintaining excellent food standards.

We come here frequently as a family of three. We always have food and drinks. The food is consistently delicious and the drinks cold. Service is great, especially from the guy who I think is the assistant manager. Would highly recommend as a friendly family pub in the afternoon and looking forward to family day

Best pub with best staff no more needs be saying

Waited 45 mins for our meal and the pub wasn’t busy whatsoever. No qualified chef so manager was cooking and served us pink chicken burger and undercooked dough for pizza. Girls on the bar were so apologetic but the ‘chef’ was justifying the pizza was half cooked because it was microwaved ??? Paid £9.75 for hunters chicken to be served tiny breast, small salad and approx 10 chips. Apparently pink chicken burgers is acceptable to him. Refund given for the three pink chicken burger meals and half cooked pizza. Will never go there again.

Decent pub, offering homecooked style food. Prices are reasonable, it's kid friendly, lots of parking, easy to get to. Service is good, and friendly. They have sport on TV, and outside seating in the garden.

Great pub , chilled atmosphere, tasty food cooked to perfection lots to choose from something for everyone. Staff happy and helpful will definitely be back .

Location didn't look promising and there was Rugby on TV but service was quick and the outdoor seating was impressively plentiful with only a few smokers venturing out despite it being warm enough (and there being a TV there).

I loved it, I was with my family and it is a very cozy place and the food was delicious!!

Small pub inside, bigger pub garden. Friendly staff, good menu and surprisingly good food for the price. Usually full of locals and often events on in the evenings, 2 big TVs always showing sport but it's not overbearing. Dog friendly but apart from my dog, never seen one in there! Easy win for a cheap night out

We came for a meal on an early Friday evening in October 2022 and I was really happy with my food. For what we paid for three of us, the food was much better than I had anticipated. For under £35, we had 2 adult meals, a kid’s meal, a kid’s dessert, orange juice and 2 pints - and satisfactory food. The fox has had a bad reputation for years for it’s clientele, but I think there are much worse pubs in the area and it’s nice to have an affordable and accessible food place locally. Also, the garden make-over is really good. Love the fact it could be pouring with rain outside, but you can sit out watching the football and be dry!

Nice friendly atmosphere. Everyone was welcoming. Visited with a friend who is a regular. Had a nice drink and chat to the locals. Would go there again

The service is always great the land lady is out of this world and nothing is too much for her . The staff are always smiling and nothing is never too much

Changing the menu might have seemed like a good idea at the time, but the current menu is totally lacking in creativity. Additionally, the food was very poor in quality, when I mentioned it to the male server he replied ‘well it is only pub food’ really? In the case of this Chef he’s probably right, however pub food in England is generally excellent. Also don’t expect too much if you are gluten-free. Don’t think we’ll be going again.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices and food tasted good. Staff accommodating when reserved table was inside but we wanred to eat outside - they quickly moved us and gave us a choice of outdoor tables. Also helpfully managed to split our bill so we each paid our share of the tab.

Went for a meal around 5:45 on a thursday, good atmosphere. Drinks & food were nice. Greeted as soon as we walked in and was asked how our food was, service from Rachel was lovely! ☺️

Lovely clean and welcoming pub, really friendly staff. Went for lunch today, my husband had the steak and ale pie which was amazing, unfortunately I went for fish and chips which was shocking, very crunchy greasy batter very small amount of fish which was grey in colour really horrid. Such a shame.
