This pubs a local in my area and usually my go to when catching up with friends. Really friendly lady that works behind the bar, very welcoming. Very dog friendly, lovely garden, amaxing food... Try the southern fried chicken.

The best pub and eatery in Basingstoke. Chris and Emma are great. Claire, Dondon and Lottie are wonderful behind the bar. Steven always welcomes me when I walk in, with my drink straight away top marks and knows my favourite drinks of choice (as do the rest of the staff) Extremely dog friendly, fantastic atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!!!

We popped in just for quick drink,but ended up having food, mac n cheese buger n absolutely loved it,my parnter had the beast mode , best burger he had in a while , we aso had side off onions rings, highly recommended , our quick drink turned in to a late night , after meeting a lovely friendly couple,we were made to feel very welcome,lovely and clean, atmosphere was lively everyone seemed so joyful, staff were 100% spot on , we will definitely be coming back, you guys got it spot on .

Now in my fourties I never really go to the pub for a pint and be social, however after discovering The Bounty in Basingstoke, I now can't stay away. A good selection of beer and cider, a great menu which was well delivered and well priced. I'm now a regular and come here with friends every week. Keep up the good work.

I used to live in Basingstoke but moved away 20 years ago. Me and my wife now have to do fairly regular trips back as my elderly mother has been in a care home since October. She used live in the hook area and when I/we visited,used to use the pubs/eateries round there. We stayed at the premier inn right by the bounty the weekend just gone (10-12th Dec). We met a mate for a drink and used the bounty,which for me until a couple of months ago was for the first time in nearly 30 years. All I can say is, we'll be back. Loved it!!

One lady serving was horribly stretched doing drinks taking orders and serving food. Waited 20 mins to be served then 30 mins for food. When it arrived it was very nice and reasonably priced. But waiting times were really off-putting.

Steve made the best food great customer service and quick with drink orders !! Definitely the best staff member at the bounty.

What a superb find! A proper pub, selling great beer, and the most warmest of welcomes from the landlady. Spotlessly clean, I am genuinely struggling to think of anything negative about my visit. Hopefully the people of Basingstoke realise that they have a such great pub and use it. Will definitely be back to this one.

Stumbled across this pub by accident, loved the atmosphere instantly, and the food then lived up to our expectations from meeting the fun and very friendly staff! 100% recommend! Oh, and there’s a very very cute pub dog.

Always nice to visit and have a "proper pint" and hold a conversation without the dreaded Sky tv "coming at you" I understand it is being taken over by Punch and food will be served at long last.

Friendly local pub, with a great selection of beer and wine, pleasant staff and quick service, Arrived late so only just got my food order in time, but was well fed. Does attract a younger crowd on Fri/Saturdays. Hopefully visit again 😊

Great pub just off the centre of town, near the cricket ground. Beautifully decorated not long ago, great hidden garden, good service, good beer selection, plus decent priced food. Love it.

First time visiting the pub since it got refurbed with a group of friends out for drinks. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel so welcome by the staff. Love what they have done to the pub, we sat in the garden which was lovely. We were only supposed to stay for a couple then move on, but we were enjoying it so much we ended up staying for 6 hours lol. Steve made us the most amazing espresso martinis. The staff are so attentive and friendly, think I've found my new fave pub to go to when I'm out and about in town. The food looked and smelt amazing, so much so we have decided to go for a roast today. Thanks again to the amazing staff for making our day so enjoyable. Gina and co

Only drank beer but served in her friendly and individual way by wonderful Donna. Was just walking past pub with my wife and we decided to have a late evening glass. Thank you. Will eat next time

Great, cosy place to have some beers and dinner. Kind and friendly staff. The lady behind the bar was very welcoming and helpful. They asked about allergies and even had some vegan options.

Very limited menu (basically just fried chicken and chips or a burger of some kind). Couldn't even make some soup for person unable to chew (offered porridge) at 4-30pm after ordering wine. It was very very small inside, cramped up and had to eat in the bar next to the door that was draughty. Food is terrible. Cheap food dressed up like gastro. No Sunday lunch menu, terrible experience. Crap.....

My son and I, on business, were staying in a rather soulless hotel and so had a search of the web to see what else might be around for a couple of beers and a bite to eat. We weren't looking for fine dining, just something nice and more convivial surroundings. So we booked a table and rocked up. On arrival, we were able to sit 'where we liked', so ordered a couple of pints of (what turned out to be very well-kept!) beer and perused the menu. The landlady asked if we 'had come for the quiz?' - we hadn't, but said we see if we were still there. The pub filled, every table taken (Tuesday eve!!) and so we decided to take part. The food was great! Simple (burgers, chicken, hotdogs, etc) but all with a twist and all REALLY tasty and plentiful. But the pub is a gem! A proper, old school local - but not one where you're made to feel like you've entered the slaughtered lamb on entry! - even the gents is outside! The locals were friendly, as were the landlord and landlady, so we ended up having a cracking evening. On a Tuesday, in the rain, in Basingstoke. Who'da thought it?! To cap it all off, my son and I won the quiz (we had some very lucky breaks in the questions!) so stuck half the winnings back behind the bar by buying a couple of large 12yo Dalmores. Now, a pub that has that on its top shelf has definitely got something going for it. May this pub flourish and prosper; a hidden gem.

One of the nicest pubs in Basingstoke

Interesting pub on the edge of Basingstoke town centre. Initially when I walked in I thought I'd made a mistake & pub didn't sell any cask beers! However I'm glad to report although not immediately obvious the pub sells at least three cask but situated on the tiny back bar! Two beers tried & very drinkable. The pub is multiple roomed around a central long bar which carries a good range of drinks It was warm comfortable & sells food.( Check times available).

We visited Basingstoke to meet friends. 4 adults, 5 kids and 3 dogs decided to descend upon The Bounty for lunch. Such a warm welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Food was absolutely delicious, and the fab service continued throughout our visit despite us being a large, noisy, messy (thanks to the kids) group! If we were to find ourselves in Basingstoke again we would not hesitate to return.

Love this place and out happens to be my local! Very warm welcome from the owners, a good selection of beers and ciders and on the Friday night I visited, it was buzzing with people and positive atmosphere.

Still the best pub in Basingstoke. Great beers, great food and brilliant service. The quiz is certainly the highlight of everyone's week!

I live around the corner from this place. I can say that every time I have visited it has never disappointed. The drinks, food and service are all top tier. Would highly recommend having lunch or dinner here if you get the chance.

The bar lady with spiky hair was quite rude. Food was a bit disappointing. Tables were not cleared. Loads of glasses and plates

Found this little gem while staying in the Premier Inn which is just down the road. The pub food was fantastic! Very welcoming! Highly recommend.

A friend and myself had a lovely evening at the bounty. Gavin was very hospitable and remembered our round after the first drink. Great bar staff and lovely food. A special shout out goes to Gavin - he made our night.

We chose this inn, following the reviews on Google, for our first dinner in the English countryside. Typical English inn with a large outdoor area (which we did not use). Menu is not very extensive but all the dishes chosen turned out to be of excellent quality. The burgers, in particular, were very tasty. Very good beers. Courteous and helpful service. The cleanliness of the bathrooms needs to be improved.

Staying down here for a couple of nights and unfortunately only found this place tonight. Gorgeous chilled traditional pub. Really chilled out. Staff just can't do enough to help you. Passing through Basingstoke overnight, came to the bounty inn, dead friendly staff, pints are spot on, food is Lovely, £40 for food and 2 pints, large wine, and a soft drink

Not great for a pub to not reserve your table, after booking it. But after some jiggery pokery, we got a table big enough. The menu is extremely limiting, even with daddy dim sum as an alternative.

Great pub. Very friendly service. Good selection of beers on tap. I love location of this pub. Its in a relatively quiet place surrounded by 19th and early 20th century buildings, a real trip down memory lane, yet its 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

I don’t normally write reviews but with the current cost of living crisis and businesses struggling to stay afloat I wanted to. If your looking for a decent burger/American style food with quality fillings and ingredients and good portions, head to the bounty. The price is really reasonable too in this current climate too making it very good value for money compared to other places locally. I didn’t even know that they where doing food as it changed hands recently. Its somewhere I think people forget about but such a good traditional pub with nice decor too! Hard to find these little gems nowadays and eating out is getting so expensive so thought a need To share!

Lovely quirky and welcoming pub. Decent selection of ales on tap. Really nicely decorated and decent crowd. No parking but within walking distance of local carpark.

This is a very attractive, cosy pub very near the centre of Basingstoke. We had an excellent evening meal here for a very reasonable price. Also, the staff went above and beyond to help us out after we had a problem getting back to our hotel.

Great little pub in Basingstoke which is located near the mall which makes it easy to get back home on public transport. Lovely beer garden with heaters for those chilly nights. The pub itself is very cosy, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The beer is nice and cold. Had some starters and they were delicious.

A country style pub in Basingstoke town. I really enjoyed it there. A great pint and good atmosphere. I didn't have any food but looking at other peoples meals they did look nice.

The bounty Inn is a great place to go with your friends and put down some drinks in a responsible that doesn't make your coworkers cringe. Lots of options and a great place to sit outside.
