Amazing food, and well priced, burgers, chicken, chips, dirty fries, anything on menu is a great choice! Cocktails were also impressive, best in Basingstoke!

My son and I, on business, were staying in a rather soulless hotel and so had a search of the web to see what else might be around for a couple of beers and a bite to eat. We weren't looking for fine dining, just something nice and more convivial surroundings. So we booked a table and rocked up. On arrival, we were able to sit 'where we liked', so ordered a couple of pints of (what turned out to be very well-kept!) beer and perused the menu. The landlady asked if we 'had come for the quiz?' - we hadn't, but said we see if we were still there. The pub filled, every table taken (Tuesday eve!!) and so we decided to take part. The food was great! Simple (burgers, chicken, hotdogs, etc) but all with a twist and all REALLY tasty and plentiful. But the pub is a gem! A proper, old school local - but not one where you're made to feel like you've entered the slaughtered lamb on entry! - even the gents is outside! The locals were friendly, as were the landlord and landlady, so we ended up having a cracking evening. On a Tuesday, in the rain, in Basingstoke. Who'da thought it?! To cap it all off, my son and I won the quiz (we had some very lucky breaks in the questions!) so stuck half the winnings back behind the bar by buying a couple of large 12yo Dalmores. Now, a pub that has that on its top shelf has definitely got something going for it. May this pub flourish and prosper; a hidden gem.

Great pub. All the draught is kept well especially the Guinness. The food is excellent. The staff are all really attentive and friendly especially Donna!

One of the nicest pubs in Basingstoke

Interesting pub on the edge of Basingstoke town centre. Initially when I walked in I thought I'd made a mistake & pub didn't sell any cask beers! However I'm glad to report although not immediately obvious the pub sells at least three cask but situated on the tiny back bar! Two beers tried & very drinkable. The pub is multiple roomed around a central long bar which carries a good range of drinks It was warm comfortable & sells food.( Check times available).

We visited Basingstoke to meet friends. 4 adults, 5 kids and 3 dogs decided to descend upon The Bounty for lunch. Such a warm welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Food was absolutely delicious, and the fab service continued throughout our visit despite us being a large, noisy, messy (thanks to the kids) group! If we were to find ourselves in Basingstoke again we would not hesitate to return.

Love this place and out happens to be my local! Very warm welcome from the owners, a good selection of beers and ciders and on the Friday night I visited, it was buzzing with people and positive atmosphere.

Still the best pub in Basingstoke. Great beers, great food and brilliant service. The quiz is certainly the highlight of everyone's week!

I live around the corner from this place. I can say that every time I have visited it has never disappointed. The drinks, food and service are all top tier. Would highly recommend having lunch or dinner here if you get the chance.

The bar lady with spiky hair was quite rude. Food was a bit disappointing. Tables were not cleared. Loads of glasses and plates

Found this little gem while staying in the Premier Inn which is just down the road. The pub food was fantastic! Very welcoming! Highly recommend.

A friend and myself had a lovely evening at the bounty. Gavin was very hospitable and remembered our round after the first drink. Great bar staff and lovely food. A special shout out goes to Gavin - he made our night.

We chose this inn, following the reviews on Google, for our first dinner in the English countryside. Typical English inn with a large outdoor area (which we did not use). Menu is not very extensive but all the dishes chosen turned out to be of excellent quality. The burgers, in particular, were very tasty. Very good beers. Courteous and helpful service. The cleanliness of the bathrooms needs to be improved.

Did not eat there. owners friendly and made you feel welcome. Clean.

Staying down here for a couple of nights and unfortunately only found this place tonight. Gorgeous chilled traditional pub. Really chilled out. Staff just can't do enough to help you. Customers are really friendly and welcoming. Had the burger tonight which was delicious! Definitely coming back here next time I visit!

Passing through Basingstoke overnight, came to the bounty inn, dead friendly staff, pints are spot on, food is Lovely, £40 for food and 2 pints, large wine, and a soft drink

Not great for a pub to not reserve your table, after booking it. But after some jiggery pokery, we got a table big enough. The menu is extremely limiting, even with daddy dim sum as an alternative.

Great pub. Very friendly service. Good selection of beers on tap. I love location of this pub. Its in a relatively quiet place surrounded by 19th and early 20th century buildings, a real trip down memory lane, yet its 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

Lovely little pub. However, on my visit they had DJ in the garden blasting tunes loud enough for Glastonbury, let alone a little pub garden.

I don’t normally write reviews but with the current cost of living crisis and businesses struggling to stay afloat I wanted to. If your looking for a decent burger/American style food with quality fillings and ingredients and good portions, head to the bounty. The price is really reasonable too in this current climate too making it very good value for money compared to other places locally. I didn’t even know that they where doing food as it changed hands recently. Its somewhere I think people forget about but such a good traditional pub with nice decor too! Hard to find these little gems nowadays and eating out is getting so expensive so thought a need To share!

This is a very attractive, cosy pub very near the centre of Basingstoke. We had an excellent evening meal here for a very reasonable price. Also, the staff went above and beyond to help us out after we had a problem getting back to our hotel.

Great little pub in Basingstoke which is located near the mall which makes it easy to get back home on public transport. Lovely beer garden with heaters for those chilly nights. The pub itself is very cosy, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The beer is nice and cold. Had some starters and they were delicious.

A country style pub in Basingstoke town. I really enjoyed it there. A great pint and good atmosphere. I didn't have any food but looking at other peoples meals they did look nice.

The bounty Inn is a great place to go with your friends and put down some drinks in a responsible that doesn't make your coworkers cringe. Lots of options and a great place to sit outside.

Not sure who has taken this pub over or when, but the past three times I've been it's like a different pub. Friendly staff, good food and a nice little refurb.

I am the office manager and executive assistant of a large European healthcare distributor with an office based in Basingstoke, and was tasked with planning a summer social locally. I went to a few different pubs, bars and restaurants with a very specific plan in mind, and none were able to or willing to help (and I don't blame them!). When I came to the Bounty Inn, I was taken aback by how cute the pub is, how nice the atmosphere is and how absolutely lovely the Landlord, his partner and staff are. They could not do enough to help us, even when I was emailing and calling almost every day to change something; be it the menu, the layout of the pub, the garden, the number of guests, and at no point did Chris or anyone else make me feel like I was being a nuisance (although I'm sure I was!). They were totally accommodating and every single person in every single role that attended the event had an absolutely fantastic, relaxed and fun night with great food and flowing drinks, all thanks to the team at The Bounty. They even let us decorate the garden with our company colours and fairy lights, and went to the shops to source our food for us on the day to make sure it was really fresh and to save me the hassle of doing it! For all of the time, effort and work that went into it, we were expecting a big bill, and that wouldn't have been unreasonable - but the price was totally fair and Chris worked to stay within the budget we initially discussed. We will be heading back soon and we collectively cannot recommend this place and these people enough. Thanks again Chris, to you, your lovely partner and your fab team. From Georgina & HC21 :-)

Usually a nice choice of ales/beers and I hear the food is nice. Great garden and nicely kitted out inside.

Came past the pub with my family as of recommendation from a local today after a very long 12 hour shift during a work away and was incredibly disappointed in the way we were unfairly and rudely turned away after asking for a beer and then food. I Have never received such horrible treatment at any pub I’ve ever been to the members of staff were extremely unwelcoming. Just wanted to sit down and eat after work.

Refused to serve my friends food due to how they looked. IDs were asked for simply asking for food and then told to leave. Not welcoming to those with tatoos.

My wife and I had spent the day in Reading, we came back later than expected and needed something to eat quickly, I booked a table from my car in a public car park at 8pm for 8.15pm on line, we arrived at the pub where we haven't been for many years, we were very warmly welcomed by the staff baring in mind that this was a very late booking. The food was amazing they had a fantastic range of beers, the pub was busy and vibrant. For me the staff were so genuine and obliging, they exceeded my expectations as customer service is very difficult to find and great customer service is even rarer. This pub has it all GREAT FOOD AND EXCEPTIONAL STAFF.

Not been here for years but strolled in on a Friday evening to find a lovely local pub vibe. Felt welcome the moment we stepped in. Bar staff and service wonderful. Good cask Ale and great food. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We popped in here Sunday night (5/6). They had DJ's doing a set, it was absolutely spot on, great tunes. Staff v friendly, as were the locals. Great pub.

Always nice to visit and have a "proper pint" and hold a conversation without the dreaded Sky tv "coming at you" I understand it is being taken over by Punch and food will be served at long last.

Nice place with friendly staff. There was only one cask ale on when I went, but it tasted good and seemed well kept. The bar staff were friendly. They are also dog friendly.

Visited late afternoon while weather was still warm due to covid restrictions. Friendly helpful lady made sure we felt welcome showed us to a table and brought us our drinks. Only two choices of beer doombar and razor back. Both well kept. All tables were full just after we arrived could do with some usable outside shelter. Believe this pub used to have a patio electric roof with a heater. Previous management I believe. Could be Useful as inside pub can get full when I have visited before outside of covid.
