Staff were welcoming, the pub has a nice atmosphere & the food was fantastic! Our waitress Kerris was very friendly and helpful and looked after us and the dog ! Great Sunday lunch

I visited on Saturday evening for live music and drinks with friends. It’s safe to say that the ‘Piano Man’ was brilliant (even letting kids play along and taking requests!). We are so looking forwards to his next visit to the White Hart. Service at the bar was impeccable despite how busy it was! I promised I would try to remember everyone’s names so I’m sorry if I have missed anyone but a massive thank you to Mark, Hollie, Jacob, Hannah, Iona and Austin for fantastic service and helping to make the evening so great. We are really looking forward to our next trip!

My friends and I attended this lovely pub for the first time for dinner. We were served by Austin who was very attentive and helpful. Food was lovely and atmosphere good.

Really warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff and great home cooked food. We will definitely be back soon.

Update: Popped in for a lunchtime drink today. Lovely pint at a reasonable price but £14+ for a large glass of Rioja is a bit steep. If you want two glasses or more, but a bottle. Lunchtime visit. Nice pub just off the A33 but in a village location. Reasonable size car park. Good selection of beers and larger (Youngs pub). Food is good but the menu lacks any real low-carb options for diabetics. Some veg/an options. Excellent service both at the bar and seated. Large beer garden with tented area if it's a bit damp outside. Pub is popular, esp. at weekends but you can book tables online (advised).

We were so taken care of at this lovely pub. The server, Emilie, couldn’t have done more for one of our party who has severe food allergies, bringing out personalised menus and double checking all her choices. She was utterly patient and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great too with yummy fish cakes, home made scotch eggs, good desserts and chips. We left very happy and will definitely be back.

Popped in for a coffee and they had a couple of slices of millionaire shortbread. We got to sit by the fire, it was really lovely. Beautiful 'oldey worldey' pub, menu looks good too, we will be back!

A truly fantastic experience. The service from our waitress Emily could not have been better! She was attentive, caring, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere is lively in the bar area, and more relaxed in the dining area. (Depending on your preference). The food was a little bit of let down. The beetroot Wellington was very dry. The deserts were the most disappointing aspect. The shortbread was undercooked. And the apple crumble had a tiny amount of custard and crumble.

Solid food and nice atmosphere. Portion sizes very big - would have liked a dessert but couldn't! Jacob & Emily very attentive & helpful.

Surprise party for someone special, Mark and the team looked after us fabulously, 40 or so of us for around 9 hours! Would certainly return for an event space (we go for meals and drinks fairly regularly anyway!). So may people commented on the food and the venue, well done!

We were looked after by Kara and Kerris, and had a superb lunch with friends! Very relaxed atmosphere, dogs allowed, and all round a great Sunday lunch!

3 generations which included an 18 month old toddler and a 7 week old baby also not forgetting our family dog were all made so welcome for a delicious lunch. The staff looked after us so well and all were so kind and accommodating. The lunch menu choices were amazing with good vegetarian options. Spacious and comfortable for dining with a choice of areas inside and outside. High chair available. Really dog friendly. Good parking. We noticed on the bar you can buy duck food to feed the local ducks. We thoroughly recommend.

The roast was nice but my beef was abit tuff otherwise cooked perfectly everyone else's food was good. It was a bit disappointing that they had run out of somethings on the menu but wasn't the end of the world.We would definitely return again maybe a evening or lunch.

Led a Tandem Club UK Page cycle ride there for lunch. Supplied names and menu choices in advance. 14 of us and all was well organised. Nice food, good selection of beers and wines, friendly bar staff who made sure we were all ok and had everything we needed. Couldn't fault them.

End of Summer party with live music. Superb evening with superb staff, friendly, welcoming and efficient. First time at this dog friendly pub and it was smashing. Special mention to Ben behind the bar.

As per usual, the White Hart Team excelled themselves. The food was great and much appreciated. Quality, efficiency and attention to detail was brilliant. It was a shame I had to drive though! Thank you WH Team, and Hannah who served us, for the most part, during the meal. JC

Great place, and even had good weather for it. Lovely pub atmosphere, a good menu cooked well with wide drinks selection. Staff were all excellent and friendly. Loads of outside space, including undercover on the lawn. Very dog-friendly, too.

Great little proper English pub. We attended an engagement party under the outdoor canopy and found the catering and service excellent. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous food and good service. The chef had obviously prepared everything fresh and it was cooked to perfection! The team were also super kind and flexible for my autistic daughters needs. They have a lovely selection of pictures and crayons for colouring too, which are very accessible. The restaurant was really nicely decorated and very clean. We just loved this experience! Thank you

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, the avocado hummus was delicious, large portion and I couldn't stop eating it. For my main I ordered the buttermilk chicken salad, also very delicious. Couldn't eat all the salad but certainly ate all the chicken, and the mayo with it was fab. My only reservation was that it was Friday lunchtime, the bar itself was empty which is where we would usually sit but we were directed to a table in the corner of the back dining area, it felt a little that we had been put in the corner out of the way, in addition, we struggled to get the bill because the young waiter was on his own, trying to serve , clear tables and be behind the bar all at the same time.

We had a wonderful lunch today, avocado hummus and crudités with toasted sourdough followed by buttermilk chicken salad. Everything was completely delicious. Large portion of avocado hummus and couldn't stop eating it. Had to leave half the salad as I was so full but ate all the chicken. Highly recommended

Two waitresses for the whole pub was insufficient resulting in long delays. Food was average and expensive. Won’t rush back

Lovely old pub, very attractive inside. Went for lunch with a friend today. Plenty of choice on the menu, something for everyone. Had the quiche which was very enjoyable - it came with a coleslaw which was particularly tasty and clearly homemade. The presentation was a bit rustic and could have been tidied up a bit and the dish I felt was rather overpriced, but enjoyable notwithstanding those minor details...

Such a welcoming pub. Met family there from London and we all enjoyed the food service general smileyness and helpfulness of all the staff. Food choice was extensive and well presented Thank you. We’ll be back! C Davies

The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly! Served by Hannah & Kerris who were all smiles and very attentive. Bar staff also went out of their way to annotate the menu for my Nan who is dairy free. Will definitely be coming back!

People make pubs and the staff when we visited for a Saturday lunch were excellent. The service was quick and efficient yet we didn’t feel rushed as everyone made time for a chat, especially about the menu. Everything available was well priced and all the dishes we selected and enjoyed were well prepared and presented. A great place to visit and relax in clean tidy surroundings.

Well well well, went out on a Friday evening. First night of the Euros, fine. Little did we know we’d walked in the lair of of Ben H, a bastion of fine customer service and purveyor of fine, fine wines. Alongside this Jacob (ohhhhh Jacob) saved my good friend Dan glasses as we were leaving and delivered them back to us. This is incredibly important as Dan has the eyesight of a star nosed mole. He’s effectively blind. 5 stars, 3 thumbs up as I’m sure you’re aware humans only have 2 thumbs, you do the maths. Exhilarating, compassionate, titillating. Will be coming back for more.

Great food, great staff, great beers, great atmosphere, great venue, so much to offer… and Ben especially, what a nice lad… saw him offering some other lovely customers a freebie take home because they were lovely ladies. Few good place.

We went for lunch (kitchen opens at 12, no earlier), and they have a good garden for kids to run around in, baby changing facilities, and also crayons and lots of paper to colour in to occupy the kids. The sandwiches were sizable (5 inches high), and tasty, and about £38 for two sandwiches and two kids meals, so not unreasonable. The vegetarian salad sounded nice, but at £15 we gave it a miss

Good staff make a great pub and the team at the White Hart are exceptional. It gets very busy as it is so popular. When it’s your turn, they give you their full attention and provide excellent service. The food and drink are first class. Well worth a visit if you are passing by and well worth revisiting many times if you are local.

Jemima & Harvey were great. The food was delicious (mushy peas with the fish not so good) but overall, what a wonderful experience. Three birthday party’s on at the same time, still great service… too pub, and top venue for any event. The staff rock!
