The best restaurants in Wendover Aylesbury Vale South East

How can I say that this pizza was absolutely astonishing? They do 20% off take away but if you have time, stop and stay. Front of house is young, welcoming and cheerful and also very professional. In the kitchen I could hear some Italian voices and when I had my first bite I knew it was so authentic. 10/10 also the surroundings are worth the visit! Large Parking lot on the other side of the road

Great fish and chips, ate in the restaurant, friendly staff, freshly cooked food, nicely presented.

We visited deli for tea and snack a Saturday afternoon. Place is located a little further from the road so you can enjoy your tea away from the noise of the cars. I had a classic toast who was tasty. I recommend place for tea and snack.

The cafe is in a nice spot with plenty of shade if needed outside. Bit on the pricey side, but that's Wendover I guess. I had to go in and order as I think they forgot about us. Not a big issue though. The food took a little while to arrive, just a sandwich with salad and crisps. It was nicely presented and tasted fine. Young staff served us, they were friendly. Had a milkshake that was nice. Prices start from around £7 for a sandwich so it's a treat now and then. It was nice and relaxing outside, there's a toilet inside if needed. Overall a pleasant enough lunch.

This was an excellent and great value plate of food, which arrived promptly. The components of the cooked breakfast were all of good quality. The bacon included a nice amount of fat, important as fat means flavour and helps to fill us up. The black pudding was great quality with a wonderful depth of flavour. The eggs were very well cooked, having no ‘snottiness’. Our only criticism would be the use of semi-skimmed milk. Whole milk just tastes better and produces a creamier coffee. Less is needed too. Large numbers of people and eateries are switching back to whole milk, as recent studies show full-fat dairy products are protective against obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

Want to say thank you to Lucy and Lucy, we had a party of 19 for an after funeral meal. They did an amazing job, regularly came over for drinks ordered and were really good with getting each course out to us quickly, as well as leaving a nice gap between starters and main etc. really happy with how friendly and kind they were as well as efficient. Everyone was happy with their food too :) thank you ladies Samantha

The food is absolutely lovely. One of the best places I've ever eaten from.

We went for Sunday lunch on 02/03/25. Ambience and table layout good. Service was attentive and all the staff knew their brief and were professional and pleasant in their demeanor. The food was above average. Starters are inventive and interesting. The sirloin of beef was succulent and had a good flavour. The roast potatoes require attention. An important part of the dish failed miserably. They were black and soft. Rest of veg was good. The bone marrow worked well. Very generous portions too. They did well, but unfortunately the roast potatoes did not come up to mustard!

The food here is consistently good and a wide variety of drinks. Service is friendly and welcoming and the cafe/bistro is a real bonus to the tennis centre. Love the Friday night meals for eat in or takeaway. There are always lovely fresh cakes and we regularly visit at weekends. Dog and family friendly and a hidden gem in Halton. I would recommend the bistro highly. There are only two negatives and these are not the fault of the bistro or its team - the tennis centre toilets are always in a poor and rather unhygienic state. The Clubhouse encourages non- members to enjoy this wonderful place but not all members seem to believe in 'all welcome' and each visit we have encountered one particular member who visibly and audibly shares her opposition to welcoming non- members. This however will not dissuade us from continuing to visit.

Bought haddock and chips takeaway. The haddock was not haddock probably pollock!!! batter was uncooked in side but burnt outside. The chips were awful and cold. This cost me £10 complete rip off.

Friendly and helpful staff, however we were very disappointed with the tasteless and mediocre food! We have memories of lovely evenings spent eating at The Firecrest, it is certainly not the same now.

I ordered three bean chili and was served beef chili. Only realised after eating a spoonful. No real apology from the staff or an offer of a refund. They also said similar mix up already happened twice on that same day. Absolutely disgusting experience. Food was mediocre but very pricy, tables dirty.

I’ll never buy from here again… home of racist workers… Jacob Timbrell in particular, said some awful racist remarks and has really shown his true colours
