This was an excellent and great value plate of food, which arrived promptly. The components of the cooked breakfast were all of good quality. The bacon included a nice amount of fat, important as fat means flavour and helps to fill us up. The black pudding was great quality with a wonderful depth of flavour. The eggs were very well cooked, having no ‘snottiness’. Our only criticism would be the use of semi-skimmed milk. Whole milk just tastes better and produces a creamier coffee. Less is needed too. Large numbers of people and eateries are switching back to whole milk, as recent studies show full-fat dairy products are protective against obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

Been to this place quite a bit over the years and up until now loved it. It seems its changed hands now. Never been to such a poor place as this before.I ordered a veggie breakfast but after waiting over 30 minutes he brought me a breakfast with bacon and pork sausages on the plate.Which made it worse was after 20 mins of waiting a went to the till and asked how long will my veggie breakfast be.He put his hand on the plate and said 2 minutes.Such a let down it was really nice before.Wont be going back....

Been before and it was nice enough, came today as having a mooch around the area. Unfortunately the greeting and service was not up to par. Young girl behind the counter just totally ignored us, ok she was doing something but not even an acknowledgment. We stood there like lemons until I assume the owner told her to serve us. Not happy, was going to walk out, didn’t like her attitude. Anyway managed to order coffee and sit in the outdoor seating under a canopy ( that needs fixing as it had fallen down one side). The coffee in fairness was lovely but the service from the girl was cold, I’m always polite and appreciative anyone working in retail and hospitality so I was annoyed and it wasn’t that cheap. Should have gone to lady Jane greys tea shop which we will next time.

An unpretentious café with an interesting menu, perfect chips and very pleasant staff. Our omelette and chips and bacon and egg baguette were delicious and copious. These chips were the best I have had in a long time, long before covid.

Try to keep this lovely small cafe in business by using their take away food and drink. Such a treasure trying to compete with the other cafes in Wendover. Very friendly and the perfect fried eggs every time I have visited

Crumbs is a popular place for Sunday breakfast and was particularly busy today with young family groups. We were lucky to find a couple of small tables inside on a cold autumn day. Fast service and a good range of standard cafe food. The scrambled egg on toast was tasty though surprised eggs were cooked in microwave. Popular with cyclists too.

Stopped here for a coffee and snack. I chose a tuna and cheese pannini and an Americano. The pannini was piping hot and tasty. The Americano came with frothy milk which I don't like and the friendly staff changed it immediately. Will definitely return and try other things from the menu.

We were looking for somewhere for a light lunch and decided to try this cafe. The menu cards a definitely in need of renewing but the omelettes that my wife and I had were substantial and perfectly cooked and my daughter enjoyed her toasted panini. Tables are tiny but the plates are large and the service friendly.

We had family visiting so decided to treat them to a Crumbs Special. An excellent experience with huge portions of traditional English - eggs, bacon, sausage, beans etc...Just a shame that it is quite cramped. Previously visited and eaten in good weather outside - but eating in makes the experience a little less enjoyable. Was very busy and service was very friendly.

This is a popular stop with cyclist and deservedly so. The cafe serves a great range of filling dishes and cakes. My favourite is the eggs and beans on toast. Perfect after a long ride. The service is quick and there is a reasonable amount of seating inside and outdoor tables in fine weather. Plenty of room to park bikes too.

One of several cafés in Wendover and close to the clocktower. You can eat inside or out and a good snack menu. You go inside to order and pay and the food is delivered to your table. For Wendover costs are low with a burger, Panini and 2 hot drinks coming to£14.60.Very good value and worth a visit

Love this place. Been coming here since 2008 and it is just what you want. The sausage baguettes are brilliant but the whole range of made to order food is reasonably priced, served with a smile and tastes great.

In a great location in Wendover, ideal stop for Ridgeway walkers or mountain/road bikers, or just to have a coffee reading the daily paper. Full English Breakfast or Continental and pastries, I feel this is the best prepared coffee in Wendover, and friendly accommodating staff.

First visit. I love pies and had wanted to visit this pub for ages. I would love to have given more stars but was so disappointed that even though it was early evening my choice of pies were out of stock. Only about 6 pies available from a wonderful menu. For starter we had the vegetable soup and prawn cocktail - both very good. My husband had the fillet steak for his main course which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had my fourth pie choice option Chicken and Mushroom Pie. Unfortunately I felt the pie was overbaked as the top pastry was extremely hard and I could not cut through it or eat it. The chicken and sauce was delicious but could not see much evidence of mushroom. The vegetables and chips were cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. The place itself looked as though it needed updating but definitely had character. The pub car park was a nightmare getting in and out. It did not help that someone had parked in the Exit so we had to leave by the Entrance! Would give it another try in the future.

This time I went to Rumsey's with just my wife although I have been several times with other members of my family since I make a point of going every time we visit my son in Tring because I love the place so much. I haven't tasted such delicious drinking chocolate anywhere. It is always so rich and velvety. I adore the stuff and, I think, could very easily get addicted to it! In addition to the actual drink they give you a very delicious little biscuit to accompany it. Every time we go, we buy some to make up at home and I can tell you it doesn't last for long - well not long enough anyway. The café itself is not very big but there are tables outside if the weather is good. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they also sell very tempting cakes and chocolates and some savouries. Parking in Wendover is very easy and the town centre is worth a visit in its own right. I urge you to go.

Went for a family birthday lunch with my 11 month old. I phoned ahead to double check that they could accommodate a baby in their food options and facilities and was warmly told “yes of course!” When we arrived there was a high chair set up with no safety strap attached (broken as only half was missing) the food was okay, a lovely small portion of roast chicken for him which he loved. However, my issue arose when i needed to change my baby’s nappy. I went into the women’s toilets and there was no baby change facilities so I came out to ask the staff “I wondered if there are any baby chance facilities I could use?” And the man I spoke to replied quite offhandedly and rudely “no it’s a 15th century building what do you expect.” I ended up having to change my son’s nappy on the bathroom floor on a blanket, as the alternative was to walk him back to the car in the rain. I understand that old buildings have less space for baby changing etc, but as I had phoned in advance to double check, it would have been nice to have been pre-warned of this. I also didn’t appreciate being spoken to so rudely by the staff member.
