I had the lobster and it was lovely. All our meals came in good time and were piping hot. The staff were attentive and friendly. If you need a taxi I recommend Sarah's Taxi's. Excellent rates and service.

I took my family for lunch on a Saturday to celebrate my birthday, having booked in advance (strongly recommended). There were seven of us and between us, we had a variety of starters, mains and desserts. Everybody enjoyed everything. It is home style cooking that is simple but done well. Some people might look down their nose at tomato soup, but this tomato soup was to die for. Superb! Likewise, the macaroni cheese, which was hot and nicely 'cheesy' - full of flavour. I finished with the sticky toffee pudding which was hot and delicious with plenty of sauce and a scoop of ice cream. Considering how busy they were, the service was friendly and fairly prompt.

We visited to see the Reindeer visit, and phoned ahead to book for breakfast. Although with a special event on, the breakfast was of a high standard with lovely home produced products. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the Hayloft breakfast @ 7.95 which was more than adequate, although for the larger appetite there is the full Boycott @ 11.75

Went for breakfast there today, £11.95 for the "Full Boycott", the bacon tasted if it was just going off, it had that sour taste, a quite fatty couple of rashers, not a problem as I like fatty bacon, also just about cooked and looked very limp in appearance, spoke to waitress who took my plate of food away, I asked if the bacon could be cooked crispy this time, came back approx' 10 mins later all on the same plate (my brown sauce was still on the side of the plate), my eggs were cold as the food had not been replaced with a complete fresh plate of food, they hadn't even replaced the plate when a customer had complained that they thought the bacon maybe going off!!! The other thing I noticed was that the fat had been trimmed off, and I was not convinced it was fresh bacon, just the original bacon fried crispy. We were looking to spend some money in the farm shop, would have probably spent £30-£40 in there. We were recommended this place by friends, we paid and left, my breakfast was taken off the bill, no apologies. Lot of places seem to be expensive these days, charging prices seen in London, not a problem if the food is excellent, this place needs to sharpen its act up in my opinion, even the toast was barely warm, and the butter that came with it appeared to be some sort of spread, when I asked the waitress what it was, she replied "butter as far as I know". Sorry, but you should know what you are serving. I will be boycotting this place as it is not good value for money.

Have visited the shop a few times as the range of products is very good, the tea room is ok, but a little soulless. Food choice is fairly average along with prices, in all a bit disappointing.

Popped out here for a breakfast after a recommendation from a friend. Very quiet considering it was a Saturday morning - although I got the feeling that, due to the rural location it is only really known to locals. Breakfast was lovely and it was nice to know you are supporting a local business and eating local produce. Staff have a good balance between being friendly, professional and chatty. I must admit that initially I thought £7.95 for a 4 item breakfast plus toast was a little steep but took that back after I (just about!) finished it. Portion sizes are very good and tasty and what I had was more than enough. My partner had an omlette with sausage which she also enjoyed and said it was filling, followed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake which she also said was fab. Looking forward to trying their lunch menu soon :)

Im in two minds about this place, I've stopped by twice for lunch now and been disappointed both times - not because of anything they have done but find the basic items on the menu (soup....sandwiches....toasties etc) to be a bit plain for the price. The staff are always very friendly though and when I've stopped in for a cooked breakfast its been delicious - I would go back for one of those!

Went for lunch and the food looked and tasted really good. Wanted to go for afternoon tea but unfortunately we were too early for it which was a shame. Nice quiet little place and very accommodating

I visited Boycott Farm Shop Cafe on Sunday last with my vegetarian partner and whilst I am a big fan of the Cafe and Shop as a whole I feel that for the price you pay for a breakfast it should perhaps come in a bigger portion. £7.95 for a sausage, 2 small slices bacon, 1 mushroom, a slice of black pudding and some beans and toast seems a little steep. I understand that the products are all home grown etc but I felt a bit robbed. Furthermore there is no option for a vegetarian sausage or otherwise so for the same price as my breakfast my partner had a mushroom, tomato, beans, egg and toast. So yes the food and service we received was first class it just seems a little steep for the portion size.

Had been to visit Claydon NT property and as their kitchen was closed was desperate for something to eat. A quick search on Google pointed us in the direction of Boycott Farm Shop. I had the tomato soup which was plentiful and delicious and my daughter had the burger which she declared as lovely. Food had the appearance of being freshly prepared and I could not fault it. Lovely setting and friendly staff - will definitely be back

I have been here a number of times and I'll be back again soon no doubt! Service is good and the lunches, drinks and homemade cakes are wonderful! I've not met a match for the Boycott Burger yet! - its outstanding! I love the all day breakfasts too! It really is hard to choose. Try to leave room for cake, they are probably the best in Buckingham and you can take slices or whole cakes home too! Lovely shop too by the way! Enjoy!

Go for a drive through the country to a farm shop / cafe / restaurant that you've never been to before. What a splendid place. A working farm with a converted barn. An immediate welcome as you walk into the ground floor. An immediate look in the shop hints of a very tasty lunch. "Would you like lunch - we're booked but I'm sure we can fit you in". Upstairs to a corner table in the lovely clean mezzanine - very cheery staff. Nice menu. And guess what - really delicious food - so much so that we had to buy some of the corned beef for home. A definite "will be back"

The Hayloft is a small friendly restaurant with a varied menu. All the food is sourced and prepared locally. We ate downstairs which is open during the summer. On a previous visit we sat up on the mezzaanine looking down on the shop. The service and presentation is excellent and the food was enjoyed by all in our party. The farm shop is full of lovely cakes and treats so plenty of opportunity to indulge yourself.

We have been to the Hayloft Barn before and have never been disappointed. This is a restaurant on a working farm which has been extended due to popularity. I have to say I prefer to sit on the mezzalnine level as you have a good view of all the lovely goodies to eat and buy. The food is fresh and the scones are too die for. I saw today that they do an afternoon tea with Pimm's which will be fun for the summer. After our food my husband bought some meat from their butchers and then we bought local cheese and crackers. The staff are all lovely and very friendly.

--- for breakfast! But its only 3 miles from home. The Hayloft Restaurant & Tearoom is on a mezzanine overlooking Boycott Farm shop.In the summer there is also a marquee - but its a bit nippy for this time of year. The all day breakfast costs £6.95 and consists of 4 items from Home Cured Bacon, Traditional Sausage, Free Range Egg (fried or scrambled), Black Pudding, Sautéed Mushrooms, Grilled Tomato, Baked Beans and Fried Bread (extra items cost 95p).You also get a choice of White or Granary Toast. Most of the breakfast items are produced on the farm and can be purchased from the farm shop and its butchery department (open 7 days a week). The eggs are worth a special mention - they have 6,000 free range chickens on the farm and the eggs are extra tasty because the hens scratch around for all of their favourite titbits. Buy a tray of the big ones to take home. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience - go on a Sunday and take the papers with you.

After a visit to Stowe gardens we dropped into the Hayloft, having looked for restaurants local to Stowe. Part of Boycott Farm, the Hayloft was located in a 17th Century barn along with an extremely good farm shop and butchery. The menu, whilst not being large gave a very good choice, at an extremely good price. My wife enjoyed the home made quiche, which came with a substantial salad. My corned beef hash was first class and huge and came with a fried egg.The quality and quantity were excellent, with everything, if not from the farm, locally sourced. The staff were very friendly, attentive and pleasant, so much so that we looked around the farm shop and because of the produce and again the quality we bought a number of products - cakes, bread and asparagus.A great experience and value for money

We visited the Hayloft in September 2013 after a visit to the nearby Silverstone circuit. It's in a lovely building, on a mezzanine floor overlooking the farm shop downstairs. We had home-made soup - this varies day by day, and on our visit one of us had oxtail and the other butternut squash and roasted red pepper (both as starters - you can also have them as mains). The soup comes with a granary roll and both were delicious. The oxtail was very meaty -nothing like the tinned stuff!). My partner also had an omelette - you have a choice of two fillings, and he chose sausage and prawn, which caused much surprise amongst the waiting staff and in the kitchen - apparently 'surf and turf' hasn't reached rural Buckinghamshire! It came with a fresh-looking salad and apparently was excellent. The sausage was really meaty. The only disappointment was the chunky wedges which I ordered - I was expecting them to be crispy, but they were more like a sliced-up baked potato, a bit soggy. The soup was £4.95, and the omelette was (I think) £6.95, with the wedges £2.20. They also do an all-day breakfast, sandwiches (plain + toasted), paninis, and some hot meals like shepherds pie and pasta bake. There are lots of home-made cakes too which looked delicious. One point to note is that the toilets are outside, just off the adjacent car park, so if it's cold or raining, it might be worth visiting them on your way from the car, rather than having to go out again.

The Lowndes Arms is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience special. The menu offered a wonderful selection of freshly prepared dishes, and the food itself was top-notch—flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just a casual drink, the Lowndes Arms offers a perfect setting. The charming ambiance, combined with excellent service and delicious food, made for an unforgettable visit. Highly recommended!

First visit. I love pies and had wanted to visit this pub for ages. I would love to have given more stars but was so disappointed that even though it was early evening my choice of pies were out of stock. Only about 6 pies available from a wonderful menu. For starter we had the vegetable soup and prawn cocktail - both very good. My husband had the fillet steak for his main course which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had my fourth pie choice option Chicken and Mushroom Pie. Unfortunately I felt the pie was overbaked as the top pastry was extremely hard and I could not cut through it or eat it. The chicken and sauce was delicious but could not see much evidence of mushroom. The vegetables and chips were cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. The place itself looked as though it needed updating but definitely had character. The pub car park was a nightmare getting in and out. It did not help that someone had parked in the Exit so we had to leave by the Entrance! Would give it another try in the future.

This time I went to Rumsey's with just my wife although I have been several times with other members of my family since I make a point of going every time we visit my son in Tring because I love the place so much. I haven't tasted such delicious drinking chocolate anywhere. It is always so rich and velvety. I adore the stuff and, I think, could very easily get addicted to it! In addition to the actual drink they give you a very delicious little biscuit to accompany it. Every time we go, we buy some to make up at home and I can tell you it doesn't last for long - well not long enough anyway. The café itself is not very big but there are tables outside if the weather is good. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they also sell very tempting cakes and chocolates and some savouries. Parking in Wendover is very easy and the town centre is worth a visit in its own right. I urge you to go.

Quite a pleasant pub and restaurant with an attractive menu, also with accommodation. Never really happy when service is added to the bill.
