Great pub !- went to watch sport and had loads of tvs to choose from - great atmosphere and really friendly staff - best place in buckingham for sport !

Popped in for lunch, food was served quickly. Staff where lovely and helpful. Highly recommend would definitely visit again.

Today I’ve witnessed the most beautiful interaction between an employee and a circle of people with obvious additional needs. Not only were they treated with respect but they had the time to decide and communicate, the surrounding customers were luckily patient and didn’t complain. Skye deserves a mention. She’s fabulous.

Me and my friends came out looking for a good night out and noticed this place was doing live music. So we came in and it was just an amazing atmosphere. The staff were great and lively and recommended us some great drinks. Everything about this place is definitely worth a visit!

I had a wonderful meal at the white hart, decided as we were going for drinks there last night anyway we might as well try the food first. The Cumberland sausage swirl was simply sublime. My friend had a rare sirloin and it was one of the best (and correctly cooked!) sirloins I’ve tasted in Town. The drinks deals on offer were too good to miss and the service was super fast and so so friendly! I’d recommend this place to anyone. They do everything and their staff go above and beyond. We had a lovely time. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even rearranging tables and providing a chair with arms. We were a large group and all enjoyed our meals.

This pub is in dire need of attention, it is scruffy and dirty with cobwebs adorning the window sills. We were seated in the dining room but no-one came to offer us drinks or take an order, in fact I had to go in search of someone to get any service. We ordered our food, as it was a Sunday I chose the roast beef, it was inedible. The two slices of beef were tough and both slices had a broad rim of gristle along the edge. My fork would not penetrate the vegetables and the cauliflower cheese was cold. We demanded that it be removed from the bill, which they did. We did not even attempt a dessert. As a final insult, all the toilets were out of order.

Lovely atmosphere, family friendly which put us at ease with our boisterous toddler. Staff were great and engaged with our toddler as she was playing. Delicious food, made for a brilliant evening.

We only visited the bar and not the hotel. In fact we had been staying for a week at another hotel in Towcester, where there is absolutely nothing to do. We stumbled upon this place and found people. It was lively and a fun spot with great vibes. I realize my 5 star review could be influenced by my week of stir crazy solitude, but for the area, this bar is 5 star.

I came here for Sunday lunch with a few friends, the food was really good and served within 15 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone, the staff are really friendly and attentive also bonus points for being dog friendly!! We will be back!!

My wife and I had a lovely meal there last night . I had Scampi and my Wife had Macaroni and Cheese , both meals were lovely . The service was very good and the food was piping hot . We enjoyed the our meals so much we returned this afternoon for an All day Breakfast, before we set off on our drive home , which was also really good quality and reasonably priced . We will certainly visit the White Hart when we visit again in September .

Had a couple meals here recently and I have to say the atmosphere is really wonderful. The food was amazing and the staff are incredibly polite and attentive. I’ll be visiting lots more in the future.

A regular visitor of this pub, however it never gets boring. Love the atmosphere, and the service staff really help make every visit special. Food is always amazing, can't beat the fish and chips

Myself and family came in for a meal, we was greeted with a warm friendly welcome and shown to our table. We had a few servers within the evening all very friendly and they where always on hand if we needed anything else, we had some amazing cooked food so would like to thank the chef on that evening for a great meal. We Will 100% be coming again.

Popped in with a few friends for some drinks and the service was amazing, a lovely lady called Kim served us at the table, she also told us about some of the sharing platters they do and considering it's just pub grub the food came out fast and looked and tasted great! Will definitely be coming back soon!

This is pub has been on the decline for a few years now, the latest manager and his team are a poor show by Green King Inns. We don’t visit that often as it’s expensive, dull and we never enjoy it. But we go back hoping the last experience was just a bad one. This weekend proved our case, it’s just awful. Within a 1hr visit we witnessed 2 separate couples walk out unhappy about various things, in one case the manager was shouting at them across the carpark, the customers hadn’t been rude, just not happy with service. The manager also likes to stand on the rear patio in some kind of power-trip, looking down on customers like a bird of prey. We won’t be rushing back.. hopefully there will be a new team soon.

Had Sunday dinner and the food was lovely so nice to get back out with the family and the staff was so friendlyEspecially the lady that serviced us Kim, was very polite

Lilly and I came in for a quiet dinner and were very impressed by the White Hart.Their steak & ale pie was very good. Their service was very COVID conscious - had to book in advance. All staff were wearing masks - which made us feel very safe. It was the nicest tasting pint of Amstel I’ve ever tasted. Will be visiting again when we pop through Buckingham. Would recommend to a friend!

We have just had 1 night in this 18th century inn. What can I say. The hotel is amazing, sloping floors, even supposed to be haunted, but we didn’t see a ghost. All the charm and ambiance of a very old building. Although my husband wanted to. The staff were so welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked through the door. Nothing was too much trouble for them all. I forgot to get names, but they were all excellent. Will definitely stay again, if only for the breakfast. Definitely 10 out of 10.

Visited for a family lunch for two adults and two children.Service was prompt, meals average - the children both enjoyed their battered fish and chips, my full English was disappointing, fried eggs were overcooked and sausages very poor quality, my wife's Hunter's Chicken was fine, she enjoyed it. In all cases the chips were OK, good portions and well cooked.The bar was understaffed so a lengthy queue to place a dessert order.Decor is a bit faded and run down but we went there for lunch not to admire the furnishings - so not an issue.

Specifically went there for lunch whilst visiting our son in Buck Uni, as advertised as dog friendly.The food was fine if slightly average. Our dog, a normally well behaved daschund terrier cross, decided to kick off in the middle of the restaurant, for no apparent reason, much to our horror and the amusement of the patrons.....Anyway, we left after our meal and that was that

After a long,busy journey back from Devon we stopped off at Buckingham for a break and meal. The pub has a pay and display car park behind it and the parking warden said that if you ate at the White Hart parking fees were refunded.I went in and the barman confirmed they had started serving food and helpfully gave me change for the car park,so far so good. We chose from the menu but when I went up to order my husband’s choice was unavailable. He then chose gammon but asked for potatoes instead of chips for health reasons,I chose lasagne,on menu it said salad could be served instead of garlic bread ,I ordered lasagne and salad. Next problem wine I chose had run out so they had to go to cellar.I paid then realised I had not presented parking ticket for refund,firstly I was told they couldn’t do it after the transaction. I suggested they voided my original receipt and to ring it through again,I was amazed at the confusion,this must have happened before. I did get my refund. Sat down to await food,a glass of wine was brought to me,they had managed to get a small glass of the wine I had ordered and said they would give me the difference on the large glass I had paid for. Food came quickly,lasagne came with bread and salad,husbands gammon was tough and potatoes hard as bullets.Manager came with wine refund,asked if there was anything else required and to his credit did apologise for all the confusion. When I looked at my receipt found that I had been charged extra for salad and husbands replacement potatoes had also been treated as an extra and charged for. By that time I had lost the will to live and just wanted to get home.

Lovely setting but unfortunately the services is below par, food was average and the special of the day (porkbelly) was well overdone.. no wonder it being on a special. Have an ale instead

... But unfortunately it did not live up to standard. We visited on Good Friday so you would think that as it is a Bank Holiday they would have extra staff on. There were only two bar staff on in the afternoon and they were serving at the bar as well as taking out food orders. The queue was therefore quite long. Every time something ran out one member of staff would have to go out the back or to the cellar to get more. There was a lot of food which wasn't in stock. The only saving grace was the sunshine on the sun terrace out the back.

I have recently visited the White Hart with my family and what a wonderful visit it was! Everything was great from start to finish, the place, the food, the staff. The staff did everything they could to give us a good experience. Next time I might even have a stay in the hotel attached!

We were in a rush as we had just got off a coach and were due elsewhere within an hour. I explained this to the bar man (you order at the bar) and he promised to make sure the kitchen knew this.as they were very busy.He was true to his word and two hot meals were produced within a few minutes - the food was at the upper end of pub grub and was perfectly cooked and prices were reasonable.Will go back when we are not in a rush! 5 of us met up for a social meal / drink / catch up / watch football. All aspects were great...will repeat the event.

Very good value for food - two main courses, drinks, puddings and coffee for £40, a bit scruffy, friendly staff and prompt service. Car park very tight.

Went for an early meal, but decided against it so only stayed for one drink. Staff were polite and friendly, hence the 2 rating. Ladies' toilets utterly disgusting - nothing flushed away, filth everywhere.

This Pub has really gone downhill. Went for my Mothers birthday meal and our food was served cold after waiting ages. Two of us were served our steak 10 minutes before the rest of the table and one of us was waiting even longer for a burger that had to be quickly made because it was forgotten about.

Came here for drinks with colleagues and had food on the whim. The food was nice and came out relatively quickly. We had the macaroni cheese which was average in comparison to other dishes.

Arrived on time and shown to table, that is when it started to go wrong, waited nearly thirty minutes for the starter to arrive but to be fair the starter was very nice, there was only one member of staff trying to clear tables and bring out the meals, again a very long wait for the plates to be cleared and then an even longer wait for what can only be described as a very poor meal, the turkey and ham were very dry and came from a packet with a very poor taste, the veg was ok. During the meal the bar closed so we couldn't get any more drinks to wash it down until the manager informed us the bar was actually still open for diners. When the dinner plates were cleared the waiter who seemed a bit lost scraped the left overs onto the other plates but missed and gravy was left to run down the table cloth, quick thinking by my wife to prevent her Christmas attire being covered in dinner. All in all a very poor dinner from a place we eat at regularly. Fresh meat and more staff would have gone a long way to making it more enjoyable.

We visited the white hart over the weekend for a drifting end of season event and it was fabulous. Fantastic service, food was lovely and the staff very helpful and welcoming. We couldn’t have had a nicer welcome and stay so thanks for making our night away really lovely, will definitely be back

The bar area is huge so even on a Friday evening we had no problems finding a table in a quiet area to eat. We both tried the Chicken Yorkshire Pudding wrap, we expected a fairly small portion given the price and were surprised by the size of the meal served.

Popped in for a cheeky Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed! Home made roasties, Yorkshire puds and stuffing - was delicious! Definitely recommend popping in, staff are always lovely, Thank you to Damen & Donna for the lovely lunch!

My wife had the spinach and I had mushroom soup. Glad it came with bread and so was filling. Nice stained glass windows.

The pub was a bit dusty and the table could have had a better wipe over as it was rather sticky. However, the service was with a smile and we waited for 26 minutes for our food. The half chicken with salad and sweet potato chips was very good. Much better than I expected.

We decided to visit the White Hart for an early dinner and although the pub is vast it was relatively quiet for a Saturday evening.

I stayed here for a business trip for 2 nights. When booking over the phone the lady was very friendly and helpful. The young girl who checked me into my room was also very friendly and welcoming, exactly what you need after a long day.

I have been very happy with the food and service here but today it let itself down with disappointing food slow service and lack of apology. I bought two members of my family for a nice meal and we landed up eating at different times as one meal came 15 minutes before the other two. The staff were polite but lacked experience.

We really enjoy lunch at the White Hart, the staff are friendly it is a large venue with a spacious feel comfortable seating and offers excellent food for adults and children good range of beers I'm told. Pity outside hasn't more recreation for children but then it s town cenre and if we are eating the children always get free activity packs to keep them amused, Highly recommended

The two girls who served us, Ellie and Shannon, were very friendly and efficient. Our food was great (cooked by Steve) and the choices were different from the usual chain restaurants. We will definitely be visiting again as the staff made our evening a very pleasant experience.

A casual lunch with no expectations resulted in a warm and friendly pub, fresh tasty food and great service. The menu has a lot of choice and the pub itself very large, with clean tables and facilities, along with a lovely Interim which is very relaxing.

Visited here as a stop over when visiting Buckingham and it was superb. Staff are very welcoming, especially the young handsome chap Renoire. The place looks a nice place and the food is really good, would definitely return. Such a welcoming environment!

Me and a few friends visited this last week and it didn’t disappoint. Food was absolutely delicious, up there with the best I’ve ever had. Service was fantastic, Renoire made us feel very welcome, very professional and did a fantastic job throughout. Would definitely come back if passing through, always seems to be loads going on and a well run restaurant.

Had a fantastic time here with 3 friends. The food and the service were both excellent. A random trip out turned into a really great time! Ren is really good fun and he really looked after us! Definitely go :)

It was an extremely entertaining visit the staff are so accommodating and friendly and the food is out of this world.

I've visited this place multiple times since moving to the area and the staff are always welcoming, along with brilliant service. They offer a good range of food for those with dietary requirements, and the vegetarian choices are all great. I would come again and again. You can see they're always trying to improve with their food and events being held regularly.

The White Hart was the first place I came to when I moved to Buckingham and I have always loved it's cosy vibes and warm, chilled setting.

The White Hart is a grand old hotel in the centre of Buckingham. The dining room was pleasant but for some reason had a large tv screen! All the staff were polite and efficient and the tables were clean. Dinner did not take too long to arrive but was far too much like my old school dinners!

Very friendly staff and food was very reasonable for the money, tables could have been set a little better but wouldn't hesitate to go back

Me and my family went Boxing day 2017 and lunch witch was pre booked and payed for and what a disaster it was firstly only 3 members of staff 1st was the chef 2nd was the servant 3nd was the barman. we wear there 3.1/2 hours from 1pm to 4.30 a three course meal it was cold not worth the bother or the money it was an hour per course.

Visited The White Hart last Saturday with a friend and as the plan was to have a few beers, I thought it wise to get some food (not a big drinker, as you can probably guess!). I ordered a cheese burger with some fries and although the pub was quite busy, the food arrived in roughly 30 minutes, so not too long to wait for some sustanence. I was expecting anything special, like a gourmet burger for instance, so was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger, wich was actually pretty good. I will definitely visit again, as the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pretty chilled, plus it's the only pub left in Buckingham that has a pool table, which is always nice way to waste away a couple of hours.

Always have nice food here with friends. It's reasonably priced, plenty of choice on the menu and a vast selection of drinks at the bar.

Visited for lunch at Noon and ordered Steak & Kidney pudding for my wife and large Mixed Grill for myself. Informed could be a wait of 15 to 20 minutes by bar staff which was about the correct time the meals took to arrive.

Lovely place for a really cheap meal what tastes great. Good for lunchtime or a night out with the girls .

My wife and 2 daughters visited there yesterday..The establishment is locate within easy walking distance of the town centre and market square, and has several car parks very close by.The food and drinks are very cheap and excellent value for money . I chose a battered fish meal and my wife and daughters had other meals.I would like to just take this opportunity to congratulate the kitchen staff and chef as I have had the same meal in the London Ivey and this was on the same parr . The difference was the total true value for money . Well done all and thanks again .

Two adults and one child.Neither of the meals the adults wanted were available.One wanted Lasagne (not on today!) One wanted Beef and Ale pie (not on today!).With the ordering method having walked up to the bar to order I then had to return to the table to review the menu.Meal for child chosen from Children's menu but no child size cutlery was available, so not child friendly at all

Really nice fish and chips in the pub. Loads of choice on the menu and food all freshly cooked and very very yummy. Would certainly go back!

Called in while wandering around the area. Having been here before we knew it was quite a lively bar which usually shows the football so we sat and watched the game.The prices are reasonable and the people friendly.I'd recommend a visit if in the area

My wife and I have eaten hear twice now. Both times we were served quick at the bar and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was good both times and the service was quick. The pub now it's had a refurbishment is well set out and clean. Will definitely go back.
