A lovely sunday lunch with great service from staff. A very lovely experience with staff that looked after us very well and a great sunday roast

Location is beautiful by the lake with the wildlife. The food upon arrival looks really nice but it’s quite bland. I had a Grilled Salmon Telzeki salad which was essentially cucumber, tomato, green leaves, red pepper not mixed together just chopped. No sauce or oil / vinegar but a very small side of telziki. The salmon was overcooked - no favour to it at all. No lemon. Very dry, plain salad for £17. My partner had a burger which he thought was nice which came with lovely garlic and parmesan fries. It looked better than the salad. They had a lot of gluten free options however - it would be great to have a separate menu. Staff were quite rude. We were sat outside and when they delivered our food - we asked for cutlery and sauce to which she said “You would have been told it’s inside” which we weren’t. Overall, it wasn’t worth the price but I would give it another go and try something else from the menu.

Great location near the lake, often music on Wednesday evenings, lovely friendly team who give you a warm welcome and great customer service. Fantastic menu

We visited here with friends for lunch, the sandwiches were yummy and the service was friendly and helpful. A good choice of food and drink was available.

Though the atmosphere is lovely, the prices for drinks is ridiculous, I bought a alcohol free koppaberg cider cost me £6.20, for an alcohol free drink that is atrocious.

Lovely pub, the young staff working there were lovely and polite there was a elderly lady Tina who was behind the bar, who was rude and bullying (shouting at her young staff) in front of customers which I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable for them. So we finished our drinks and left.

By far the nicest spot/area in Aylesbury to grab a drink. Really solid food options for all ages too. Cannot mark it down , just a lovely pub with amazing views

Great atmosphere and music. The staff could have been a little more helpful as I was waiting to be served, and a couple of staff members were on their phones instead of being helpful. Otherwise, a great time.

Food was good. Unfortunately a number of things we ordered were unavailable. Could have done with a better vegetarian selection. Young man who waited on was excellent and very helpful. Very busy on the day we went. Parking was difficult on a busy day.

Popped in here for an early lunch. Despite the restaurant being completely empty I had to ask for menus, my order to be taken and for additional drinks. Seemed to be staffed by young university students more interested in their phones and chatting amongst themselves than looking after the only table they had. Food was good though so that was the only real positive.

Really nice, unexpected stop for dinner. Unfortunately, at 4.20pm, there were a few items missing from the menu. Although what we ordered was good.

Food was really tasty. Especially enjoyed the garlic flavoured chips. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. All servings came out in good time. The staff were polite and cheerful. Will be visiting again

Our first night relocating to Aylesbury and it was the champions league final so of course we had to come and check the pub out! Great atmosphere, everyone was enjoying themselves. We had dinner and a few drinks, we were sat in the corner but we never felt forgotten about, the staff were very attentive and chirpy and happy! The food and drink was great, I can't fault our night! :)

A good venue overlooking a lake. The food was exceptional and came quickly. The service was exceptional too. A very enjoyable lunch and somewhere I look forward to visiting again.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere, a special shout out to Tom (Scott 🤣) who served us. Honestly one of the best meals out we've had in a long while.

My little girl loves coming here to feed the ducks and enjoy either lunch or a cuppa and giant cookie. The food here is very good, my little girls favourite lunch is the chicken goujouns with chips and beans. I like to pick a side dish with a salad as they are delicious. The staff are always friendly and ready to help. I have to commend them for always being friendly and playful with my little girl. Highly recommend you visit when you can.

Very poor service food arrived with half of the ingredients missing and wrong fries and then came back with completely different salad to what was on menu without asking first if it was ok. No apologies very rude. Will not be returning for food which is a shame as location is lovely.

Great place for dinner, went Friday night and it had a great mix of people and families. Reserved in advance via Google with no problems. Food was really tasty, generous portions and the service was fantastic! Really attentive and made sure we were always looked after. Recommend!

We booked this location to celebrate my son’s 30th birthday. We were welcomed from the minute we stepped inside and the excellent customer service received from Jordan continued throughout the evening. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome by all the team members. There were lots of menu choices, the food was served quickly and was excellent. We were well catered for in terms of drinks, served very quickly and tables kept clear. Big thank you to Jordan and his team for ensuring we had a wonderful evening and we look forward to going back there very soon.

Booked a table for 8 for Sunday lunch / roast. The table was directly underneath a speaker which was giving out loud music. Asked the waiter to switch it off but he could only lower it a little bit. Tried another table but same situation. The waiter lowered it the volume a little bit more but another waiter would then increase it as soon as we sat down [????]. After few minutes, decided to leave and find somewhere else for lunch. Told the lady at the bar why we were leaving but she didn't really seem to care. If you want a peaceful lunch ............... don't go there!

This is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal, sitting at the window or outside in the summer and admire the Watermead lake! Absolutely amazing experience

Only popped in for a drink but lovely setting.

Came here for Christmas dinner and was so disappointed. Wrong meal came out 3 times and tasted like frozen food, the roast potatoes were wedges ! i couldn’t eat it. We were given a big discount to be fair but it did spoil our Christmas Day. Would you £70 for this meal ?

This place is full of lovely friendly staff who could not be more welcoming. The food portions are so generous and the food is so tasty. I can’t wait to visit again.

I had a Xmas Dinner here and food was nice for what you got. But it was bit disappointing lot of it was from frozen. Starter was lovely. I have had there meat tray before in past and that was really good, that why i came to try there Xmas Dinner.

Yet again a truly lovely tasty meal at the Watermead Inn. I’m never disappointed when we go there. I think it’s great value and the atmosphere is very relaxed but staff are both friendly and very professional at what they do. I look forward to going again very soon.

Not great when the barman is looking around to see if anyone was going to order a drink because he wants to go for a cigarette! ( Which he was doing when we arrived !)

Really enjoyed a Sunday roast here. Plenty parking and for the football/sports fans there is sky sports

The view it’s nice but the food it’s a bit overated tbh. We had the dinner here but the attitude of the guy with red hair and red headband it’s inappropriate and he makes you feel really unwelcome. However, the guy serving the food (dark haired and tall-ish) is so nice and polite with the costumers.

3rd time at Watermed Inn , food is very nice and tasty we are coming here for ribeye stake and parmegiano garlic fries which are spot-on.. Service is great very polite people but is 2nd time when we get to the table and is sticky not cleaned , full of cobwebs and dust on the lights above the table and exit doors . Guys you have good food and polite personnel working in this restaurant don't let the cleaning to pull you down and stay on top of it . Personally I chose to come for the service and food but if the place is not cleaned I would have to stop coming in and o believe no-one enjoy to eat their food around dust and cobwebs.

First visit at the weekend with friends for Sunday roast. I’m vegetarian and there is a vegan option on the menu. Nice selection of veggies. The nut roast was small more like a child’s portion. So sadly not a good value roast in my view. Very busy with a couple of birthday parties so it was hard to chat. Nice service.

First visit with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. Easy to book, warm welcome. Busy as it was a weekend and there were a couple of children’s birthday parties. I’m vegetarian and there was a vegan option on the Sunday roast menu. The nut loaf, not very imaginative, was small, like a child’s portion so sadly not good value for money and I won’t return.

Had a family meal that was booked. Can I firstly say that the service was very good and we were looked after all evening for food and drinks by two lads who were very attentive so thanks guys. Also the lady behind the bar came over to make sure we were ok. The menu is ok standard pub food but not restaurant standard tbh. We had rib eye which was extremely chewy the chips were good and why is the broccoli called broccolini but it made us chuckle. I wouldn’t go back as the food just wasn’t worth what we paid for it. We were asked if everything was ok and we all said yes as I don’t like to be negative to team members when they work so hard.

Loud, whetherspoons type setup. Didn’t stay for food, bad atmosphere and very overpriced for what it is. You pay for the view I suppose, which is hard to enjoy when every table around you is full of louts. Lavatories foul too.

This spot is usually great with the staff on, however today me and my father paid a visit, we waited 5 mins before this older woman shouted “who’s next” she was rude towards my father getting sugar and then proceeded to question how many sachets of sugar we had taken for the two cappuccinos we ordered, paid £7 for watery coffee. Disgusting behaviour and watermead inn need to look for more well mannered staff.

Having visited before on holiday we loved it here and the food was excellent. Unfortunately this time we visited the menu wasn't to my choice so we didn't order as we didn't manage to reach in time for roast which smelt incredible . Being able to feed the ducks out side with a beer is nice and relaxing 👍

Went for a Sunday roast meat was nice but the veg wasn't cooked well. I like Al dente, but the parsnips carrots and sprouts were nearly raw, and not very much expecially for the price paid,

Had the roast chicken meal. No exaggeration, this was the best roast I've had in years. Huge portion and everything was so flavourful. Veggies, potatoes and of course the chicken brought together with a rich gravy. Honestly, can't believe this is less then 10 minutes away from me and I hadn't been here before. My new favourite spot. And the other 3 meals for the family were just as good

Myself and partner ordered 2roast beef dinners which should have come with Yorkshire puds which were missing !! but on eating our dinner my beef was full of grissle & inedible my partners wasn’t as bad but still not good . I complained to a young lady who got the manager who after some discussion offered a drink which both of us refused . I wasn’t rude but said it was terrible & that I wouldn’t be returning

Went for a meal with family. Service was average and a bit slow . Lots of dirty glasses left around the table and the bar during our meal. Food was OK but I think a little overpriced for what we had. Would return for a drink in summer as nice setting but would rush back for the food or service.

Our first visit, we were not disappointed. My pizza was delicious and huge. A box was provided to take home what I could not eat.

Visited today with 3 older guests . Staff were amazing in accommodating our requests. Nothing was too much trouble, food was lovely as was the seating area . Thank you will definitely recommend.

Friendly staff and very good food. Nice views of the lake Me and my husband had the Rib-eye with garlic parmesan fries with mushroom sauce and it was amaaaaazing. Also had panacotta and it was delicious. Loved everything. For sure I will be back to this place Totally recommend

First time trying the new menu and it's all very good , all 6 of us were quite impressed with the new meals and flavours

Friendly staff and good food. Nice views of the lake from the bandstand. Chef personally spoke to my wife about her allergies and was exceptionally accommodating. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely visit.

Came here for dinner as a party of 4 and I found the food very, very average. I got the chicken salad and it was very basic: green leaves, cheap sliced tomatoes with no flavour, big slices of cucumber, grated parmesan that was straight out of a packet and tiny croutons you would also get from a packet - okay but not worth £15. They use basic frozen chips and even the condiments come in sachets, and not even good quality Heinz, I'm taking to proper cheap stuff you'd get in from chicken shop. I wanted to get dessert so approached the bar and was told that the kitchen closed at 8pm. I asked for a coffee and they said the machine has shady been switched off. Not great.. Waaaaay better options in and around Aylesbury!

We were a party of 9;all of the food was delicious ( we mostly all had different dishes, including a veggie roast );hot and promptly served by two members of staff who were both extremely polite and efficient,they got us repeated jugs of cold water with lemon and hot water to heat a babies bottle without a grumble.I had the fruit de mer,I only usually order seafood while on holiday overseas but this was absolutely delicious with a great variety of shellfish and chorizo init,the portion was huge!!! I throughly recommended a visit

A group of us visited for lunch today and it was nice to see that there was a completely new menu and appears as though the place had been redecorated - very clean and nice atmosphere. Food and drink was all great quality, the only reason not to get 5 stars is because of the lack of availability of some items on the menu that we'd wanted to order.

We loved it here. The food was lovely and Alison the lady who served us was great. She is a credit to the watermead inn. We will definitely be going back.

Great place for watching sports, socialising and for family meals. I've been coming to this place for several years. Great location, service, food and range of drinks are very good.

I love it here. We have a walk to watermead from AVP on the weekends and have food and a couple of pints here. Lovely location, nice staff, and pretty good value for money.

I was a bit concerned after reading previous reviews as there is a big mix of good and bad ones listed. At the start due to a problem in the kitchen there was only a very limited menu available, we spoke with the bar staff and they checked for us and we were able to order exactly what was required and the main reason for visiting this place. As it was a special day one of our party wanted to have the house special of Mititei and for starters we had the chicken wings, popcorn chicken and Blanchbait, all of these were well presented and cooked, for main we had the Mititei and a Pizza Capricciosa and we decided this was the best pizza that we have ever had in the Aylesbury area. Service was very good with both pleasant and helpful staff. Would highly recommend a visit.

This is one of the best pubs around Aylesbury. There pizza is a must try. In general food is great! The restaurant is aesthetic and love the ambiance. Value for money is great. Friendly staff. Go have a good time! 👍🏾
