The food here is consistently good and a wide variety of drinks. Service is friendly and welcoming and the cafe/bistro is a real bonus to the tennis centre. Love the Friday night meals for eat in or takeaway. There are always lovely fresh cakes and we regularly visit at weekends. Dog and family friendly and a hidden gem in Halton. I would recommend the bistro highly. There are only two negatives and these are not the fault of the bistro or its team - the tennis centre toilets are always in a poor and rather unhygienic state. The Clubhouse encourages non- members to enjoy this wonderful place but not all members seem to believe in 'all welcome' and each visit we have encountered one particular member who visibly and audibly shares her opposition to welcoming non- members. This however will not dissuade us from continuing to visit.

Poor service and extremely poor staff attitude. High street prices at a tennis club. It used to be a relaxed family friendly atmosphere with suitably priced food, what a shame!

Fantastic welcoming service and great food. The breakfasts are really great and the burgers are the best. Dog and child friendly too so you can enjoy a meal with the whole family

Highly recommend this hidden gem. We came for a drink Saturday 12th evening, ended up staying a few extra hours and eating too. Was such a wonderful environment, family friendly. Felt like being on holiday sat outside watching people playing tennis in the sunshine. Absolutely recommend, the service was outstanding, polite and cheerful, nothing was too much. The food was incredible and great value for money. 100% will be back, sooner rather than later.

Visited the club over the weekend and had great fun in both days. It is a lovely club, the cafe serves good coffee, pastries, cakes and brunch. Prices varied, coffee well priced, cheese toastie on its own a bit pricy but the rest were ok. They made up for good customer service, friendly with smile and accommodating. So why 4? Saturday visit was a bit chaotic and looked unprofessional with children running in and out of the kitchen. In my opinion commercial kitchen is NOT a place for small children during service (hygiene and safety?). The lady taking my orders was constantly being interrupted by her daughter. I understand the club is a family club obviously, but it has plenty of space outside, in the cafe, and has a playground where small children can play. They belong there and NOT in a busy commercial kitchen. We will continue to use the club cafe, as I said it was good I however hope that they would take this comment on board. I also hope that it was a one off for them not being able to find anybody to look after the children on a busy day!

We were at the club Friday 4th for the tournament and my son was hungry and cold after his game ( shower during the game) so we decided to try the clubhouse cafe and I'm so glad we did! The lady barista was lovely, she was knowledgeable about the area and the cafe (apparently under new management) . She recommended just the right food that we enjoyed and my son was so delighted with her recommendation of chocolate bomb, he finished and scrape the mug in no time! My son rated the CHOCO BOMB 10 out of 10! The atmosphere was great and service was quick and friendly. Will definitely recommend this place and we're looking forward to going back there again.

The previous owners of the Bistro in Wendover recently took over the catering. Sadly due to Lockdown they haven't been able to reach their full potential. However what they have been able to do has been very acceptable. In fact the takeaway meals when allowed have been a lifesaver for a person who has to produce a meal EVERY night since Covid!!!The evening menu currently Fridays, Saturdays, changes slightly every week. Great Burgers with all the trimmings, Chicken wings, Calamari, Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Burgers, etc. etc. We are trying them all as, and when they appear. Oh and the Chocolate Brownies are to die for!!Once we can eat "In House".again, it is our go to destination every week. And it isn't only a facility for Tennis Players, Anyone can come.

The former owners of The Bistro in wendover have brought their amazing Beef Stroganoff to the Halton Clubhouse! The takeaway menu offered atm is small but the dishes are outstanding. We had takeaway this weekend and it was absolutely sublime. Amazing burgers, stroganoff to die for and the best chips around. The chicken wings special was also finger-licking good! Definitely one of the best takeaways we’ve had.

Last night I ate at Halton Bistro Cafe. I had beef stroganoff and straw chips. It was absolutely delicious. Large portion and extremely tasty. Instead of getting a family take away at home, I would much rather bring them to eat here.

It's ok, they are doing their best. I think my only advise would be to get someone in that knows what they are doing

My daughter has been coming to Halton Tennis club for years, otherwise I wouldn't tolerate coming to this terrible, untranquil and simply money-driven environment. This place is designed to churn-up as much money as possible, noisy, uncomfortable, and a chef who shouts at customers and the hardworking waiting staff. I sometimes have to resort to sit outside in the freezing cold so I can have to some peace to enjoy my coffee and read my book. I wouldn't recommend this awfully run place that worships money and not creating an environment that parents can relax.

Just to start, I think the “Terrible” review must be about another place, by eszterthorvan? Honestly. It’s definitely not a bistro nor is it cheap or have “cheap staff”? I generally use the club house for a snack and a drink. I don’t play tennis there. The clubhouse is very nice, in a great setting. A couple of tvs to watch sport on (no rowdiness) and is very clean. My family have eaten a meal here and they said it was very nice. Gets busy some evenings and I think you don’t have to be a member to eat here. Membership looks expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. The facilities for tennis look great. You’ll pay typical “southern prices” for drinks. This isn’t some cheap workingmans social club. The main clientele are over 45 tennis players. It does have a few young people here but mainly caters for the more affluent adult scene. The clubhouse by all accounts can be hired. The bar is never busy. The staff are very polite and courteous. If you’re in Halton, it’s not a bad place to drop in for a drink. However it’s main business is tennis. Best check their website for opening /food times.

I went in this bistro. No one was available for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes later a girl came up to me without smile and say, sorry for waiting. Well, it is not a good start I thought. I regret that I did not turn around and go. OK, we ordered an hour before lunch. Then we came back, get the meal. What did I get again? 15 minutes waiting for my food what I ordered an hour before. When I got my burger I realised that it was burned. Burger, meat were totally black. Well, I said to myself, I am not going to get a meal here today?! Why did you serve it for me this black burger? I asked a white european burger, not a black burger...Quickly, I run down the alternatives in my mind, what can happen in this inconvinient situation. Firstly, I am going to complain straigth away for waitress for an other burger, but I need to wait an other 10 minutes. Basically, I would wait for a burger for 30 minutes all in all, so I decided to not complain. Secondly, I said to myself I am going to say this dissapointment for the waitress, when she come and take off my plate from the table. Guess what happened again? She started to take the plates from the table and she talked with the man in front of me who was actually still eating his meal, that he doesn`t mind that she is taking my plate! So she totally forgot to ask from me, how was my meal!!!! She did not ask from me anything, she did not look at me, she saw, that I left the black burger, meat on my plate, but she does not care at all... I was really dissapointed in that moment, I said to myself, I won`t come here again! What is this? There is no customer care at all !!!! Why did she not care about me? Did she has a bad day? I do not care! If you work in the business, you need to be fast, quickly and lick my a*s off to gain tips for new order! You know what?? You need to give a job for a foreigner to work here to get a good customer care, because I am 100 percent sure, that they would ask from me, that Everthing was all right? Cheap place with empty, cheap staff...

We hired Halton Tennis Centre Function Room for my mother's wake. The setting is beautiful, the staff were excellent and the buffet was spot on. PS. The wine they supplied was good value and lovely quality. I would highly recommend this venue for any function or party. Thanks for making the day totally stress free!

Bland coffee, long queue and 1 barista struggling to cope with the orders. Millionaire shortbread was good though. I will stick to supporting local coffee shops in future and help them, rather than an american tax-dodging outfit.

Just had a two night stay here as I was attending an event at the Waterside theatre. The location is great with only a 10 minute max walk into town. The rooms were stylish and comfortable and there was a good selection of food and beverages plus plenty of seating inside and out in the garden. Thanks to Will for a friendly welcome and great service at breakfast each morning! Will definitely book to stay if coming to Aylesbury again.
