The best restaurants in South East

We had a 3 night break with breakfast included. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. Some fresh flowers around would make it look more welcoming and attractive. New hanging baskets outside. Breakfast was ok. The staff were friendly and worked hard.

A lovely place to meet with friends… you need to taste their Angus burger 👍🏽

My visit was actually in the South Terminal airside, I ordered a Oatmeal mocha, everything was ordered and made fine, but once I’d tasted it I realised my coffee was made incorrectly so I returned it to the counter to explain that I’d order a mocha and instead got what looked like a latte maybe a flat white, and the lady I was talking to got interrupted by a very rude colleague and more or less yelled at me that I ordered a hot chocolate, which I found bizarre because she wasn’t even in the store when I ordered and also if I had in fact ordered a hot chocolate, what I’d received wasn’t a hot chocolate anyway, so I tried as politely as I could to explain myself again, which wasn’t necessary as I’d already been seen to by someone else, so she then turned her attitude towards her other colleagues blaming them, who didn’t even make my coffee !! I felt awful for them both and thanked them for replacing my coffee, which was still poorly made I’m sorry to say, but I was more annoyed at this lady unprofessional behaviour, a simple mistake that should have been easily corrected was turned into a foul situation.

I got the breakfast, which was terrific. It was not too chock full of spices but still very flavourful. The dessert, particularly the milkcake, was delicious. I couldn't fault it at all. The only reason for knocking off a star is that the tea was awful. It was too sweet and without any 'karak' to it. The store was also too empty, which seems weird when you go in.

Just let out of the Gaol for a coffee and look what happens!

Understaffed argumentative and rude... very unwelcoming upon arrival - I was told before the shift had even started by a short cross bespectacled woman that most of the tables were booked (which was odd as there were only 2 staff members on shift for bar and restaurant), and the larger ones were being saved 'in case more people come'. After my meal I eventually managed to catch the eye of one of them hoping to order more wine and dessert but was blatantly ignored. In the end I gave up and had to go and get one of them to take my payment. Upon remarking that they were massively understaffed and I would have ordered more food and wine if I hadn't been ignored, I was told by the same cross woman who told me the tables were booked that 'these are all walk-ins, and I hadn't been ignored, even though she could neither corroborate or deny this as she had not herself witnessed the incident? Heaven knows what they would have done if the imaginary people they were saving the tables for had turned up?! Treating real and present customers like 2nd class citizens in favour of imaginary ones doesn't seem like a good business model to me... Understaffing has cost this business money today. Avoid.

Food was 40 minutes late, asked for salad in my burger, no salad and the chicken was and the chicken was dry as a piece of leather

A regular for a soy iced latte...blended..always done without question. Asked how I d like it..ie coffee in after blending ...at Starbucks MK was told it would be extra as 'using more electricity '!!!!

Ordered a large kebab and received a small ordered the salad separate as I have a child Sen child ordered a salad with just lettuce, cucumber, tomato . Came with red cabbage and a jalapeño called multiple times just to be hung up on extremely unhappy

Had table booked for friends birthday, Saturday night at 8.30. 9 of us turned up on time, only to be told table was not available and asked us to come back, We went a few doors away, into a lovely Micro pub. Someone popped back 15 mins later, only to be told the table was still not ready! When they complained, they told them, they could not ask the group to leave the table! Well sorry you should not of over booked!! It was far too late for us to find another restaurant for 9 that late on a Saturday! When we eventually got to our table it was gone 11am when we had finished our starter. Our lift was coming for us at 11.30, no chance for mains!! Went home hungry & angry! Would never go back or recommend this restaurant!! Toilets filthy, only one working & no toilet rolls! Only good thing, if we had not been asked to come back we would never have found an amazing little micro pub a few doors away!!

They forgot my order and I waited for over an hour in the store before someone noticed :/ pizza was good though

We ordered for collection tonight, when i got down there the 3 girls on shift were working so hard to get everyone's orders out and ready for collection and delivery . I got to the counter and said I had an order for collection, I was told it was going to be 5 mins (which is absolutely fine I don't mind waiting) only then to witness the boss start having a go at the girls because it turned out our order had been forgotten which seemed like it was the boss' fault not the girls who work slaving away like work horses. The way the boss spoke to the girls was horrendous, he had no respect for them or how hard they were working. Our food was made very quickly and all 3 girls were really nice about it and apologised alot about it being late but I felt so bad for them the way they were being spoken too it wasn't right!

Después de haber escuchado mucho bombo por este lugar, finalmente tuve la oportunidad de probarlo, mientras hacía algunas compras en las rebajas de enero. Tenía la casa hamburguesa y patatas fritas. Fue muy agradable y caliente! La empanada de hamburguesa parecía de picante y queso de alta calidad y las patatas fritas estaban perfectamente cocidas y calientes y crujientes. El servicio y el precio es la única razón por la que no califico 5. Yo diría que 3. 5 si pudiera pero la comida era EXCELENTE. El servicio es prácticamente inexistente, ya que es un lugar de comida rápida. Sin embargo, ni siquiera eran rápidos cocinándolo. Esperamos casi 20 minutos, y aunque no tan caro como cinco chicos, todavía era mucho para una hamburguesa con patatas fritas. ¡Probablemente vuelva! Pero ten en cuenta que si no tienes mucho tiempo, el taxi les tomará tiempo cocinarlo.

Always ordered our Indian from here. Obviously rugby is on and it’s a Saturday. We pre ordered at 6.15pm for delivery at 7.30pm. It came at 8.15pm. Food is always tasty however the starter was a bit undercooked and all was a bit cold. But like I said, always tasty!
