Efficient service, cooked to order, piping hot. Best fish and chips I've had for a long time. Fish was skinned, lovely batter and huge portion of lovely crisp chips. Well done, we'll be back!! Thank you.
Firstly, the host was very reluctant to seat me at a table and would have preferred me to sit at the high bar - I'm in my 70s and there were plenty of gree tables. My scrambled eggs arrived very promptly but as others have said, the toast was very hard and as the eggs were on top, I found it very difficult to butter. However, there was so much pepper on top of the eggs most of it was inedible. No one came near to check all was OK and I really regret I didn't say anything but it was 6.30am and I was very tired.

Food is quite healthy with a good selection and variety. There is a salad bar and coffee machine as well. I enjoy having lunch here with my coworkers sometimes. The menu changes so some days are better than others. I believe they always have fish and chips on Fridays
We found the food delicious, service was quick. And staff were friendly, we were served by a delightful young lady called Daisy. They were all very helpful and lovely. Will definitely go again and reccomend. 😀
Honestly cannot believe how overpriced this place is. Drinks are mega mega expensive, and the food is so pricey…and is terrible! Honestly don’t bother, plenty of other much nicer eateries on the High Street for much less money. £13.50 for the shabbiest nachos, and £5 for literally 4 cocktail sausages.
Our order was incorrect and the manager was extremely condescending when explaining what had happened.
Buffet lunch was included in the Vale Grill after a recent spa day. Lots of tasty choice’s , including Vegetarian options, bread basket, salads etc.
Perfect portion size and unlimited which was perfect to try a little of each.
Desserts, fresh fruit and tea/coffee, juice available and a perfect way to finish the day.
Would recommend.
Since the recent change of management this pub has been given a new lease of life. The lovely decor reflects the atmosphere of the pub. I will certainly be back.
Since I moved to Portsmouth, this has been one of my locals, always a welcoming place and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They have a greaat sense of community and what you don't see in many public houses nowadays,,, a bar billiards table!!

First timer and wow what a lovely friendly place. Food was delicious, and we was greeted by the owner Omer, who is just such a delight. Took our order, popped on heater for us and made us feel at home.
After changing many landlords, trying to be a posh restaurant, a pizzeria, a sports bar and just the village pub-which is what this establishment was most successful at (in particular during lockdown it provided a welcome chilling opportunity with its large beer garden and kids area) … this longstanding local pub has closed down. Bookham locals will miss its familiar band nights and outdoor summer time drinking

I was very disappointed with my experience at this place. Google Maps states that it is open 24 hours, which was the main reason I decided to visit. However, when I arrived at 4:00 AM, I found that it was already closed. I had travelled from another town specifically to come here, so this was extremely frustrating. Please update your opening hours to reflect the actual schedule so that others don’t face the same issue.
Used to always get my Indian from here.
1st time I've Used since the re-brand.
And boy has it gone down hill.
Everything tastes like it's come from a jar. The food even looks like it's come from a jar.
The amount of meat in the curry was very small. Never used to be.
Unfortunately it's now time to find a new curry house
