My sister and I visited Faversham on 29th March and popped into The Sun Inn for lunch. We decided to try the Charcuterie Board Sharer. It was not far off the size of a charcuterie starter I've had elsewhere. There were four slices each of salami, chorizo and coppa ham, plus two tiny pieces of cheese and four cornichons. There was one and a half slices of a small loaf of bread as well and this cost £16. We then had to ask for butter and waited ages for this, and only on looking back at the menu realised it should have been served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, but this was missing. We left feeling very hungry and conned, as it wasn't even especially nice. I could have put that together with Aldi ingredients for about £3. Very poor value for money.
Where do I start with this….. the garlic king prawns I had for a starter, looked like they had put frozen prawns into a bowl of dish water they had no garlic flavour. just watery prawns. VERY dissatisfied!! And they charged £8.99! If I was the chef I would have been embarrassed to serve that sh*t. The main was just an over priced burger very poor quality food.
The service was pretty bad unfortunately. Took a long time to ask us for drinks they were too interested in talking to their friends in the kitchen I will definitely not be back. Who ever runs this place needs to have a serious sort out . This place could be a winner but needs a serious change. Very disappointed. (Ps cocktails were decent)
My family and I ordered a very simple sandwich, flapjack and bottles of water. We waited over 20 minutes without being served, and decided to cancel and leave. Never ever going back.
The grounds are stunning. The manor house impressive. Staff fantastic.
The Manor - restaurant was great service but VERY expensive. The mains are £28 - £32 each and does not include the potatos or veg. The mains are tiny portions. The potatos £6 for a side dish

TERRIBLE SECURITY. Would not trust them as far as I could throw them!! My friend passed out on the floor, had to call an ambulance and security watched it all and did nothing!! The only thing the did was talk to eachother about it and say something along the lines of “well it’s on our venue” and then continued to do absolutely nothing. Absolutely horrible experience, security guard have a duty of care and all these lot cared about was themselves! Disgusting!

We ordered Lamb Karahi and seekh kebab. Seekh kebab were fine but the lamb karahi was horrible, had to ask the chef to re cook it as much of the meat was still hard and not tender. They reworked it but that did not made much of a difference. Service was too slow and disorganised. Loud music and too much noise. Bad washrooms. Would not recommend. On top of all this there was a sea shell in the lamb seekh plate as well !
We visited the cafe after a long family walk.
Seb was amazing, he sat us all with no issues and got to taking our order straight away!
We then received our drinks within a few minutes as it was a big order.
Some of our group had some soups and some hot food which had no complaints whatsoever.
Thank you to Seb and the team for such an amazing experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

I ordered many times but this will be the last time all the pizza toppings are burnt and the service is so bad when i asked him there is no proper explanation or even a sorry
I was given a voucher for My birthday which included the tomahawk steak. A £70 bit
Of steak which my husband and I thought would be beautiful.
We asked for it to be medium instead it was mainly rare. It was chewy and fatty. Which we did not expect from a £70 bit of steak.
For my dessert I had a crème brûlée which was nice but the raspberries used as garnish had mould on it and when I said to the waitress she said she would tell the kitchen.
When we asked for the bill and commented on the fact that the raspberries were mouldy she was like well you don’t have much service charge ( this was because we had a voucher so they couldn’t charge us more service) to be the reason she couldn’t take any money of our bill.
All in all considering this was supposed to be a nice meal for me and the hubby away from the children I was totally unimpressed.
