Where do I start with this….. the garlic king prawns I had for a starter, looked like they had put frozen prawns into a bowl of dish water they had no garlic flavour. just watery prawns. VERY dissatisfied!! And they charged £8.99! If I was the chef I would have been embarrassed to serve that sh*t. The main was just an over priced burger very poor quality food. The service was pretty bad unfortunately. Took a long time to ask us for drinks they were too interested in talking to their friends in the kitchen I will definitely not be back. Who ever runs this place needs to have a serious sort out . This place could be a winner but needs a serious change. Very disappointed. (Ps cocktails were decent)

Food was really good, very fresh and tasty. Staff excellent and friendly. Burgers really good. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely food, burgers were scummy. Portions very generous and the place was dog friendly, which it appears most of Broadstairs is not! Owners very friendly and good service.

Pre-booked for a birthday celebration, were promised it would be special. 30 minutes to take drink orders , 1.5hrs before we received any food. They were down a couple of members of staff but still continued to fill the restaurant. Staff were unapologetic, food was average. Spoke to the waitress who offered to take 2 children’s meals and the optional service charge off the £190 bill. We won’t be returning and I doubt anyone else in the restaurant tonight will be either!

So been in Raindell's a couple of times now since we moved down here. Always been excellent food and service but tonight on my birthday (because i added the restaurant on FB location) I got a birthday desert. Before you say "oh well that's because you added them on FB" well i didn't actually want a desert as the waitress asked if we wanted anything else and we said no as we was already stuffed to the hilt before then. Just like to to say that it was a really nice touch to finish off my birthday (with birthday music i might add) and I thought the Mrs had stiched me up! Anyway if you like steak and burgers then this restaurant is the place to go . There is a large veggie menu but can't comment on that side, as I'm for the former. If you're local you'll probably already know how good it is. If you're from anywhere else visiting then get yourself booked up in advance. Top notch and thanks again . Cheers Gaz

What a great find. We arrived later than expected (in a storm) on a Friday night to our accommodation in Broadstairs and needed somewhere to feed the kids and ourselves. The place was busy, but they found us a great table. They told us that they were understaffed, but you wouldn’t have known. Our waitress was attentive and generally lovely. Our food was outstanding and lots of it. The ambiance was fun and lively, and although our kids were the only ones in there- they were made to feel very welcome. Keep supporting small businesses. Would have been easy to go across the road for a mediocre Prezzo’s. So glad we didn’t. The milkshakes are amazing. Highly recommend.

We attended 13th October for a meal for our anniversary with a group of friends. We arrived 5 mins early which was no problem for the restaurant. Service was excellent. We had a range of meals including steaks, burgers and vegetarian choices, everybody enjoyed their food. Afterwards we sat and chatted for quite a while but were not rushed to leave at all. Overall very good.

Do not go if you are vegetarian or vegan. Unbelievably overpriced for poor food, fresh from the supermarket freezer prepared with no apparent care or interest. Avoid and save yourself the staggering and completely unjustifiable expense.

Booked a meal with my family for my sons birthday. Had to wait 30 minutes after the Booked time. One of the reasons we chose the restaurant was the milkshakes but they were unable to make any as they took too long! The food was OK not amazing, the service was average. Would I go again. The restaurant is run down, dirty and just not an appealing place to go out for dinner. The dark wooden tables were sticky. The starter came out cold, we complained and so they threw it in a microwave and gave it back to us. The main meals were poor. Nothing about the place justified the prices they were charging. The bill came with a 10% service charge, which I asked to be removed because of the overall experience. In fairness, the service was probably the best part.

A place to eat does not need an over the top menu but does need to do what it does well. Raindell's provide great American style food with friendly service. Best burger menu and awesome puds!

This was my second visit to Raindell's, both of which have been large table bookings 10+. The staff are great and relay everything very well. Food is very tasty and a lot of it. If busy in there it becomes very noisy.

Went in this evening, largely because the “posher” places were fully booked, to be honest. However, we couldn’t fault the cleanliness and precautions. The food was timely and good. The only bone of contention was a drunken group which, once they’d arrived, dominated proceedings, making it nigh on impossible to have a conversation. Staff did try their best to keep them quiet but they were pretty far gone. The group were not offensive, apart from their language and volume, but had obviously ended up there after an afternoon of boozing elsewhere. This can happen anywhere but I did feel for the poor waitresses that had to try and keep it under control. Well done girls, I hope your boss appreciates you as much as we do.

We came here last night and from start to finish everything was great. There was lots of space between the tables so straight away we felt relaxed. The staff were attentive and helpful the drinks and food arrived promptly. Excellent and timely service! Many visits here over the years during holidays in Broadstairs and the food was amazing as usual. Very Covid compliant we felt safe and enjoyed our outing. Kyra was our waitress and was extremely helpful and friendly and is a credit to Raindell’s!

We visited Raindells last night and had a lovely meal. The welcome we received was so warm and we were quickly seated. Our orders were taken swiftly and soon drinks arrived - the cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. Our starters were spot on - garlic prawns and garlic mushrooms. The mains were even better. My wife who’s vegetarian was amazed at the amount of options and went for the halloumi sizzling fajitas. The flavours were amazing as we the generous portion size. We couldn’t finish the fajitas so they kindly offered a doggy bag so we have today’s lunch sorted!I had the bbq pulled pork burger which was so tasty.As it was a Wednesday in August we received the £10.00 discount but even without the discount it’s cracking value for money. But the reason why this restaurant get 5 stars is the friendly waitresses - they really did make the evening. It was our first visit but they were charming. Another point to mention is that they also have a wide choice for vegans. Overall a superb dinner out and we can’t wait to return especially with my son who I’m sure will opt for one of the amazing burgers.

We came here for an evening meal while on holiday in Broadstairs and enjoyed it immensely. We had visted a few other resturants in the area which where disappointing so when we had dinner here we where so pleased it was a good one. Food was plentiful, tasty and the menu choice was varied. The staff where attentive and very polite. We found out it was a family run independent while chatting with the owners daughter so very pleased to support this rather than a chain. Do visit as it was such a nice experience for us.

Great food but the main guy paul seems to not be there which is odd as he is the main feature along with the great food , bring him back as he is no1 with service, young people with fake smiles isnt the same :(

 dreadful and disappointingly overpriced meal. For over £10 a burger, we expected a pretty good burger...instead what we received were small, lukewarm, dry patties with very little filling. As for ordering the 'surf and turf' option, we decided not to eat more than one prawn as they were also lukewarm and smelt quite fishy. The macaroni cheese side also managed be greasy yet flavourless. The only part of the meal that was tolerable were the fries, which stayed crispy. I will never order from here again and am gutted that they earned £50 for such a terrible meal. Have been to this lovely restaurant several times and was never disappointed until the last time a few weeks ago. We booked a table and I have to say staff were lovely but the service they provided was terrible. We were there 20 minutes before asked what we would like to drink and 20 minutes later they had not arrived so I asked the young man serving he said “I’m underage and can’t drink myself so I forgot about your drinks!” ... we waited over an hour and a half for food and when it arrived it wasn’t correct (items missing) with the waitress saying “well there’s enough there anyway!” ... the food as always was outstanding when it did arrive ... seemed to be more worried about sending takeaways out than serving customers in house .... we will give it one more try as the food is lovely and may have been a one off but it really has put me off! The average is for the service but the food was very tasty.

Raindells is local to us but after a few bad visits a couple of years ago we left a bad review and decided not to go back. The food was always outstanding but in previous visits the service was so bad that it spoilt the whole experience.After reading some good reviews we thought we would give it another go and I am so pleased we did. We had previously booked a table a few weeks back but had to cancel as we were poorly. The lovely waitressed actually recognised my voice and asked how we were etc. which I thought was lovely.I absolutely loved the fact that there is a whole Vegan menu so I didn’t have to go through the full menu to work out what to have! The Sloppy Joe Spicy Bean Burger was the nicest Vegan Burger that I have ever had. The portion was huge! I wasn’t to blown away by the Nachos starter though.It would have been nice to know what Wines were Vegan – Barnivore.com is a fab website for this!I could see Chef cooking and he looked so professional taking care to check the meals before they went out.Thw Waitress was so attentive and made sure we were ok and happyI can’t wait to come back. Firstly the staff are the most welcoming, friendly staff you will come across. The food is great, prices great. The only negative, i can't eat there every night.

My boyfriend and I visited sat 16th Nov. Quick service and the food was excellent. We would definitely recommend and if we are ever in Broadstairs again we will visit again .

It's a real shame as with a tweak or two this could become a staple to ordering in. My first experience was ordering though Just Eat. Maggie went for the 4 oz cheeseburger whereas I went for vegetarian chilli. We were given a delivery time... 15 minutes after which our order arrived. First thing to say is that the portions are very generous - with fries twice what one would get ordering 'large' from McDs... they were hot which was just as well as everything else was barely warm. Mind you they came ready salted... this really angers me as someone who must keep their salt levels low... you can easily add salt but you can't take it off! Given all we know about the amount of salt in our diets there should be a no salt default!My chilli came with salad, peppers & onions, 2 tortillas, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. My main criticism (after all the heat is down to 'Just Eat' deliveries not the restaurant) was how totally bland it all was. I could detect zero chilli in the chilli! So it was a mush of TVP. The peppers & onions were a smidge undercooked for my liking, I did't use the sour cream, the salsa was also totally devoid of taste and the only thing with a strong flavour was the guacamole which was so overdone with lime it was like eating just that fruit! Having watched as a roadside cafe in Mexico made me a guacamole picking limes and avocado from their own back yard I know how delicious a well made guacamole can be... this was over sour and a horrible texture to boot. I couldn't get past half a tortilla as they were cold and like leather. It goes without saying that Maggie's burger was cold too. I guess I would eat in the restaurant sometime just to see if my first experience was a one off... but as there was no response to my feedback I'm not encouraged to bother.

Stunningly presented food. Excellent speed of delivery. Very friendly & courteous driver. One item missing & the politest & most helpful staff over the phone. Missing item was cooked & then delivered by the young lady on the phone. Highly recommend. Outstanding service.

Had fabulous meal today for my son’s birthday. So much to choose from. Massive portions and food was really tasty. Excellent service. Hadn’t been there for few years but will definitely return soon. Thoroughly recommend it.

The food here is so tasty and the portion sizes do not disappoint!!! Been for dinner and breakfast here and the breakfast deal in particular has led to us choosing here as our number 1 for breakfast in Broadstairs, if not Thanet! Wide variety of food to choose from come dinner time and the staff are welcoming from the off and can't do enough to help you. Yes, you may wait between courses, but that's because their food is freshly cooked.

Very slow service it took an hour to get the starters and a further 45 mins to get the mains, by which time we were all past needing to eat.

We visited this lovely restaurant yesterday 12th Sept for dinner with the family. We were greeted by very friendly staff. We ordered our food - burgers, steaks etc. It came very well presented and cooked to perfection. I couldn’t wait to tuck in! It was fabulous. I would highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back for more.
