Clock Tower Kebab House in Thanet

Ordered Large Kebab Meat which was as dry as Gandhi,s flip flops , wanted to charge me extra for salad , wanted mayonnaise on it which wasn't put on the side but covered in it and it was that nasty cheap mayonnaise I binned it on the Train home from a Dreamland gig . I couldn't give it less than 1 star 🤮🤢

Food was disgusting, was undercooked and honestly the worst chicken shop place I’ve ever been. Do not recommend!

I ordered large shish kebab, medium beef donner and chips. We just could ate a little donner and threw the rest of foods away to bin. But that was enough to made us sick. The shish had been made of waste meat and being so spicy for hiding the quality of material. I just could taste one bite of that. please don't waste your money.

Always enjoy visiting this kebab shop after a dreamland concert! Excellent food and quick service and manage to get all orders correct, when there is lots of people ordering. Very efficient team working in the shop, the chicken shish wraps are the best!

Absolutely speechless!!! We were having a family party across the road and my Mum ordered a falafel wrap, enjoying the first half she took a bite to which she found someone had put an entire kitchen plug in her wrap!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting and foul. When I ran it back in for my Mum all they had to say was “these things happen” and we will replace the wrap. Somehow I don’t believe that plugs just randomly end up in wraps no matter how dodgy of a late night restaurant. We will be going to the local press with this - they need to be shut down!!!!!!!

Worryingly unhygienic, expensive and empty of customers for good reason.

Terrible customer service, very rude people they cancelled our order which was lucky as the place looked very unclean! A luck escape for us and terrible, aggressive behaviour by them all because I asked politely if my wife could use the toilet, when they told us to go outside, and aggressively cancelled our order!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! ordered a delivery for me and my partner and the foods burnt it’s cold and it’s not even what i ordered in the first place tried to call them and they didn’t even answer. Also their drivers are awful they complete ignore our note to not knock as our family is asleep the driver was so rude and just walked off. woke up the whole house. rubbish food no effort at all just wasted £25. ridiculous!!!

I've ordered about 10 times so far and everytime it's amazing. Super quick service and delivery, great drivers, delicious garlic sauce. No complains at all. Really don't understand the negativity. Great work guys, 5 stars. Martyn. H

Ordered a special item what was called choose 3 kebabs and receved 1 container of meat and 1pita bread and small piss poor container of salad. But what put the cherry on top it was dead cold, all for the street robbing price of £18 not including delivery and service fee.

Falafal humas cheese wrap was amazing , all salad and chilly / garlic sauce

I had ordered off Uber eats and called the shop to see what time they will arrive he said he doesn’t know and hung up I have waited 2 hours and they didn’t turn up. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to go to these useless people.

The same happened to me aswell mate I had a lamb donner few days ago and it did this to my teeth aswell, very disgusted awful, lucky to get 1 star really what a damn waste of money and my dental problems, BONES and they are very un hygienic, just money grabbers off people rotten.

All the kebabs are awful and especially the lamb meat as had loads of grease fat gristle and bits of bone in it and very upset and disgusted by this as they shouldn't be mugging us off with cheap fatty boney meat please ve careful everyone if you want to keep your teeth safe 😢

Have had lamb Döner from here before and it was lovely. Tried the kofte tonight and it was lumps of charred, chewy, overcooked, elderly meat. Foul. Binned it.

Well it's 11pm so obviously I'm drunk so it's acceptable to give me an order that is not what I asked for, I asked for a large chips and a box of kebab meat, £7 for the meat and £4 for the chips so you took the opportunity to stiff me and give me a small chips and send me on my way banking on the idea I wouldn't check till I was home...you were correct, I didn't check till I got home and now you have lost repeat custom, well done 'slow clap' hope it was worth the extra pound.

She does not know what she is doing, last four orders I have pressed reorder, and pizza has been perfect. This time reorder means change the item and when customer phones and she is rude,unintelligent and a lack of skills to be working there. Never had a problem till now. Will never order again!

Used these guys for a while and had no problems however yesterday they sent the wrong pizzas so we phoned to explain, the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and aggressive and even tried telling me I was imagining having been sent the wrong items. Will not be using these people again after being treated so badly.

Waited for over an hour for the order and it turned up wrong, when we contacted them the lady behind the phone was extremely rude.

Placed my order through just eat, got confirmation of order and messages saying foods been delivered and to enjoy my food. I’m a little confused as sitting here hungry and no food. So I rang the restaurant and spoke to the rudest most patronising person I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Insisting the orders never been placed, I gave the order number he read it back 5 times incorrect and couldn’t get my postcode right, he started getting frustrated and calling me darling something I asked him not to do. I enquired where my food was and he hung up. I ordered food from another restaurant as I’m hungry and rang Clocktower back again mr patronising unhelpful on the phone who started with, Listen darling I’ve told you we don’t have an order the postcode you gave doesn’t exist and you need to phone just eat and not to contact restaurant (takeaway) again.

Closed 30 mins early after accepting my order, then canceled when they couldnt get hold of me when my number is written on the order twice, never eat here

Ordered just before 12 wens night rang back just before 1am still no food going to sleep now as 1.20am still no food don't Order if this was the other way around and a customer wasting their time it would be a different story

I would highly recommend to not use these guys... I have seen them smoking outside the shop to then go inside and handle someone's salad after not washing their hands. They are also very very rude... The owner is a angry little hobbit and his wife I presume is very stuck up and rude.. Many more much better kebab shops around thanet including express kebab who are much better and much more hygienic. If I could leave 0 stars I would... Trust me people stay away if you like clean food

Just moved to the area and ordered a kofte kebab with cheese. Food was cold and seemed like the cheese (cheddar) was off because it tasted vile. Won't be ordering from here again

We were happy with the rest of our order, but the falafel wrap was missing the falafel. It was advertised on uber eats as having chips. There were no chips. I double checked to see if I had made an error, which I hadn't. Called the restaurant and was met with defensive hostility and complete ignorance. The woman on the phone said its ubers mistake as shouldn't say chips. She also said she made the wrap herself so it had falafel in it. Well it really didn't and if its advertised as with chips, that is not a customers concern, but that of the restaurants to take up with uber. She refused to listen and I tried asking her to send what we paid for, but she hung up. Have notified uber, but its pointless tbh. So my daughters dinner that we paid £7 for consisted of hummus and salad in tortilla. Really disappointed with the customer service more than anything as this woman was soooo rude.

Went here last night for some fried chicken. Not good whatsoever. Tasted like rotting chicken and the next morning had a foul smell. Hopefully we don’t get food poisoning and only wanted to leave a review to warn people away from the fried chicken. Didn’t get anything else so can’t speak for anything else on the menu.

Placed an order with them yesterday stating no sauce, order arrived smothered in garlic sauce, contacted the restaurant and they refused to correct their error or refund!! Waste of my money and the chicken was like rubber, disgusting.

RUDE! Seems to be run by a 12 year old child who’s rude, unhelpful and unable to understand basic customer service. More expensive than Beano Westgate and awful service from a child. Can’t recommend, try elsewhere

Terrible service. Called restaurant multiple times wondering where my order was and each time they said they'd call me back and never did. After 3 hrs I called and said I want to just get a refund because its been too long and they hung up on me.

Can't recommend, service was slow, staff were unattentive, food was overpriced and had to pay extra for salad or more sauce. Needs more veggie options, great location with loads of potential just missed the mark last night

Definitely gone down in ratings as this was once a 5* kebab place!! They've brought to us numerous times, but still cannot find us, even with clear directions!!! Medium shish kebab? More like small. Got to us cold, again! Definitely time to go elsewhere!!!!

They tried to charge me £17 for a kebab because they thought I was too drunk to notice, when I questioned them about it they had a go at me and pushed me out the shop.

Me and my partner ordered a late night double pepperoni thin crust pizza which arrived before delivery time. This is the only good thing I can say. My first slice was a little greasy (it’s pizza) so just used tissue to dab it off. My partner took a huge bite, a long blonde hair was in between the cheese and base. Obviously we were put off eating anymore,Yuck! We called them straight away, the man on the phone was confused, saying that’s very unusual!! Then spoke to his manager. After returning to the phone he said that the driver will come and collect the pizza, and our order has been cancelled and refunded aswell. (Ordered through just eat) Going on to say he doesn’t know who made our pizza and will talk with kitchen staff and it’s very usually. No sorry nothing, seemed clueless. With everything going on in the world with covid19 health and safety and hygiene should be taken much more seriously. All your kitchen staff should be wearing HAIR NETS fact. No customer should be pulling hair out of their paid for food. Unacceptable. Most places are still closed. Take more pride and care in your work.

I had a jacket potaoe with cheese and beans (nice) and a side salad which was fresh and chrisp. Also shared a margarita pizza, decent cheese. The tomatoe sauce could have been a bit more tomatoey...and a sprinkle of dried herbs would have really topped it off, but it was still a nice pizza. The staff were polite and friendly.

Food is literally never cooked properly

We are regulars here, I get food from here at least 4/5 times a month and each time the food has been absolutely delicious! My favourite place to go, I don't go anywhere else now. Staff are always brilliant too, price is amazing, food is gorgeous! If I could give 10 stars I would. We love clock tower! Also we had a great delivery driver named Ian, he is always friendly and fast delivery.

Just pop into this kebab shop as usually shis kebabs are OK, with salad. Had to wait for ages before I could even ask if their incredients /seasoning would be OK for me to eat (no flower, etc.). Once at the front of the queue I asked the woman being the counter about this and she just shrugged her shoulders. No sorry, very impolite. Don't bother. Didn't even look like good quality food.

Their meat has improved not fatty and tasty The best thing is their hot sauce tastes homemade Chips where good as well

Ordered a margarita pizza... arrived quickly however was undercooked and with the first bite a strong stench of chemicals, was very off putting... couldn’t stomach more than a slice... don’t know if it was cooked in a pan with remaints of washing up liquid in it or what... but very disappointing... won’t be ordering again

Ordered a kebab last night for me and a friend, tasted absolutely foul from the first bit, both of us ended up throwing up in the toilet then as we went back to throw it away found what looked like mouse/rat droppings inside it. Never ordering from here again.

Ordered mid week for a delivery , after 45 minutes gave them a call and they said the meat was cooking still and would be 20 minutes , another 45 minutes passed so gave them a call back and they said they had to cancel the order. No phone call to let us know or anything. Appalling service

I used to work here many years ago when it qas owned by he previous owners and came back to margate for the weekend and thought I'd come by and order some food and was eft very dissapointed beyond belief as he service was slow, the communication skills was was beyond rediculas and the chips was cold. So sad that this place isn't what it use to be like it was back in the day.

Situated on the seafront Clock Tower Kebab is excellent value for money They also do delivery. Prices are reasonable but you get what you pay for. Well worth a visit if your having a night out or just fancy a snack

Called up for a kebab , the people that answered had to change who I was speaking the new caller then was unable to understand and was a struggle to order my food and then repeated myself loads of times but still weren't getting it

Always use clock house as online ordering so quick and easy. Food is always good and food is always delivered within expected time.

Bad service they always get the order wrong get told it will be 50 mins and yet still waiting over an an hour. Plus when ordering with just eat totally mess the order up, Will not be ordering them again !!!!!

This place is a no-brainer if you're looking to grab some food after hours in Margate. Everything is high quality, tastes great and the staff are super friendly. It's also perfectly situated if you're popping out to refuel between bars, with the old town and the high street just minutes away on foot. Best chicken shish I've had.

Never had a problem with the food from here apart from the recooked soggy chips but the burgers and kebabs are by far the best I have had

I felt like eating a brick would have brought me more pleasure then the pizza I had to endure if you haven't realised it's was awful I felt like the communication skills were the same as trying to talk to a wall. The chicken was so pink it matched the chrome pink nails I have got done. The cheesey chips had such limited cheese I would have got more than from a bag of doritos. The order took so long it would have been quicker to plant and grow the ingredients myself.

I was recently in Margate for the first PureElite 2017 competition which my wife was entered in. whilst I waited for her to get her tan I took a stroll around Margate looking for something to eat as I was very hungry and I really fancied a good burger. I walked up the high street past KFC and Burger King but wasnt really tempted by these cardboard imitations. Strolling down towards the beach I saw Clock Tower Kebab shop had its door open,I popped in an was greeted by a very polite well mannered chap. I asked if they were open, and he invited me in and fired up the grills. As I was the first in that day it took around 15mins in total to fire up the grills and cook my food but, oh my god was it worth the wait. I asked for a triple burger with salad and fries (I said I was hungry), this wasn't on the menu but wasn't an issue either. I took a seat and watched the world go by! 15 mins later I was given one of the best burgers I have ever had, along with a large portion of very lovely fries, salad and a can of coke all for the pricely sum of £9 I was asked if I wanted to pay cash or card (being able to pay with card is a fantastic bonus). The burger was amazing, the chilli sauce was homemade and lovely in fact It was that good that after the competition I went back but this time I took a load of athletes with me. On my second visit I shook hands with the guy from the previous day, he was genuinely interested in how my wife had done. I noticed that the lady working the grill dropped a knife and without even thinking twice she picked it up and took it to a big sink out back and dropped it in, retrieving a new knife from the rack. This galvanized for me the cleanliness of the place, every surface was immaculate. I will certainly be popping back in when ever I am that neck of the woods again.

Brilliant polite service, the main man down there Baris is a top man. Me and family strongly recommend the Falafel Wrap.

An ok place for kebabs, difficult for parking and a little expensive.
