The best restaurants in South East

Went late on a Saturday night, the girl was working on her own, super polite and helpful despite being near close. Would be nicer to see 2 staff on a closing shift as I know how tough they can be. She did a fantastic job on her own

Excellent, friendly and quick service despite arriving at 9:00 pm. Delicious, fresh and beautifully presented food. A true Old Town treasure. A regular of ours whenever we're in Hastings.

We organised a company quiz night in one of the rooms on the side of the pub. The Landlord made this effortless, so chilled and accommodating. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. We will definitely be going back.

Food took hour and half to come out and then another 20 minutes for the other foods like rice and chips. Pudding was another hour and some of the photos didn't match what was severed.

So slow! 2 customers 2 employees and 3 coffees total took about a 17 minutes Standard coffees, Nothing special

Food was amazing, prices a little high but excellent quality. Queues get very long at busy times and you can be waiting a while. Same for finding a table at busy times, it can be difficult. Child friendly. Clean. Tidy. Staff are professional and polite. Big car park available.

Bit rough on Saturday. A customers dog, not on a lead, attacked another dog. Then a man pushing a woman in a wheelchair rammed the wheelchair through a tiny gap instead of finding a wider gap. He just kept smashing through. Woman seemed used to it. I, however, was not used to having my seat and table ploughed violently into. We won't be returning. The pub tvs indoors were on full blast with absolutely nobody watching 👀. It felt like an assault course experience. Some staff ok.

Good prices, great portions. First visit as just moved to a local village. Definitely not the last. Welcoming too. We were going to another pub for lunch, but walked in to a very unwelcoming atmosphere, so did a quick search and found this place. Glad we did, 100% better atmosphere. My friend particularly raved the mussels 👌

Total carnage! Wrong orders given out, priority given to delivery orders. Staff argued with my husband when he said the order was wrong. Easier to just take the given order than wait another 30 mins. Food was ok but would have preferred my choices. Disappointing service from a previously great little take away.

Went in with friends but the only draught cider was some fruit stuff. Only other option was bottled so we left. For a sports bar on the first day of the Cheltenham festival this is poor
