Not been here for 16 years, didn't disappoint. Heaving with customers, everyone happy and having a great time.

Disappointed with roast beef lunch. First pub roast with no Yorkshire puddings. The beef was tough and the veg was cold.

We went for Sunday lunch during the Easter holidays. Im glad we booked to go early (12.30) because our drinks arrived quickly, and our order was taken quickly too - ahead of a large party who were seated at the table next to us. They turned out to be quite demanding of the waiting staff's attention, and perhaps that is part of the reason we had an 'OK' dining experience rather than an excellent one. We ordered a variety of dishes between us - the children's mac and cheese looked really nice, and I was told it was tasty. The roast was fine - not great - the veg was a bit overcooked and not very hot when it arrived, though the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were lovely. More gravy would have been appreciated. One of us had fish and chips which looked lovely, but arrived 5 minutes later than everything else, which was a shame. Once we'd finished our mains, we were just left to our own devices. We weren't offered a dessert menu, we asked for the bill when the serving staff collected empty glasses, but I think we weren't heard and it never came. So we sat and chatted for a while, but it was quite noisy so we went to the bar to pay and left. To conclude, it was fine, but there are many other pubs in the area, so I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

All customers are welcome at first sight to songs and arrange games The pub is friendly, singers & bands love to return as every weekend is a pleasant and fun to all them that look a funiful evening, big ❤️ Packet of crisp with my drink is so fine,full me up also the welcome attendants by pub runners and lovely people around the pub.food must be good as well.

Overcooked vegetables, beef like leather, no horseradish sauce. Very disappointed.

Had dinner here last night. Ordered a medium rare steak and it came out burnt and so overdone it was quite off-putting to the rest of the meal sadly. Staff were delightfully kind and friendly, so that’s a big plus for me. We accidentally booked for the quiz night so I’d definitely not recommend a Tuesday for a regular meal. Place itself is gorgeous. I’d recommend it, but pick your meal and day wisely.

Went for the bingo. Great atmosphere, lots of laughs and going again. Hosts are amazing felt very welcome. If you could move the pub a bit close to me please 😂

If you are looking for a pub that is a cut above the rest in Farnborough, then the Thatched Cottage should definitely be on your list to visit. The current team, led by Gary and Sam, have really put a great deal of effort into raising the profile of the pub and their work is absolutely paying off! They have managed to put together a series of fantastic food options, all prepared using fresh ingredients, to offer a varied menu that takes 'pub grub' to a new level but without charging the earth for it. Kudos to chefs Anton and Theo! Although this approach is very forward thinking, it certainly hasn't come at the detriment of the traditional pub atmosphere and the spaces, both inside and out, are very relaxed and full of character. The cherry on the cake though is the service provided by the team there - always a warm welcome and the staff genuinely seem to care what they do. Take note, Farnborough, the Thatch is a model for what a good pub should be!

Popped in for sunday roast had 2 chicken 1 beef and can honestly say food was lovely great value for money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back.

Incredible Food, Cannot beat it in the area. Best Pub Grub around. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Entertainment is another highlight, cannot fault the atmosphere. 10/10 Pub. I would reccomend to everyone.

I would give more than five stars if I could! We had a party there over Christmas and we had an absolutely fantastic night!! Gary and Sam were brilliant and they and all the staff looked after us so well! Very friendly and extremely helpful and generous! They provided loads of delicious food and the price per person was fantastic and everybody raved about the food and the whole fun night!! Great choice of drinks as well! We will definitely be back!! If you have not been to the Thatched Cottage yet, go there!! The staff and atmosphere along with great food and drinks and great prices make it such an amazing place to go! Thank you so much again to Gary and Sam and all the staff!

Excellent pub! We had a post-funeral ‘life celebration’ session on May 30th here for my mum. Very easy to set up remotely (80 miles away), very accommodating, friendly and professional staff. I’m very thankful to the staff and management and am very pleased we chose this venue. Highly recommended.

Good pub for a few pints. Not too far from the town centre and has a cosy feel to it.

Good Pub. Well run bar by Sam and Garry. Very popular with the locals. Nice pub and a nice family run pub. Absolutely love this Pub it's fast become our favourite local.. Staff are kind and friendly to myself and my children. Nice for a drink and play in the gardens with the kids and equally as nice for a quiet drink and some food with my husband. Lots of events on such as bingo, discos and all sports are played here. Really enjoy the car meets once a month, where large breakfast baps are served and all tea and coffee is complimentary! The building is old and beautifully laid out to maximize the comfort and space, many screens for sporting events, and a quiet dining area and even a cosy little nook

Went to thatchfest. What a great day. The kids loved it, atmosphere was great and music was fantastic.

Really disappointed with yet another meal where the kitchen said they had run out of product but only after taking our orders. They claim to offer a special curry night so we asked before ordering whether they had everything. They said they did only to serve the curries without the individual advertised naan bread for all four of us! Then when we asked to order desserts at 8.30pm they said the kitchen was closed! Waste of time and ruined the meal out.

I really liked this venue. Nice atmosphere and food prices were great especially on curry Thursday. Looking forward to my next visit

What ever you do don’t order the beef for Sunday dinner it’s really tough and not edible, however complaining is difficult as the staff are so nice! Would be a perfect pub if the food quality was sorted

Cracking evening at The Thatched Cottage - the staff were welcoming, food (I had the steak) was delicious and plentiful and the beer was cold - what more could the discerning customer want?? I sense the management has recently changed, and there is a friendly buzz to the place, and by the look of the notices they have done great music and events coming up - shame i’m just visiting the area for the week - would be a great local!!

Great atmosphere in a lovely pub. Food was excellent and the service friendly.

Im feeling generous because i do want the business to do well, as a local. They have made a good effort to reopen the place. Little snazzy corners and chirpy staff. Sorry, the fish fingers in my sandwich tasted like they had been reheated. The home made batter was dry and chewy.. as was the fish.. just dehydrated and nasty. My kid had the same and wouldn't eat them. 2nd time I've been for food and regretted my life choices. Very personal opinion, but don't like the draft options either. But, it's a pub. Atmosphere is friendly, so maybe go sit in the garden with your dog and drink ale, and you'll be fine.

The pub is done out lovely, with good atmosphere, 6 of us ordered meals, 3 had the cheeseburger and all said really good. I had scampi and chips, as did 2 others, sadly my meal was barely edible, scampi was overcooked with no taste, chips were only just warm and very dry. £92.00, really not worth it!

The tagliatelle was good but only luke warm! There was no Apple crumble. The food was good and the service excellent.

Lovely little pub, fun pub quiz once a week. Drinks a little pricey but what isnt these days? Staff very kind and enjoy a laugh.

Good atmosphere But hardly any Vegetarian Options on the menu. When asked we got told they work on a limited menu. A big letdown. Potentially losing 100s of customers a week with no veg options. Others in the area do have better menu options... On to the next one.

Had a wo derful time at the Class of 76 re union. It was great to meet up with old friends. The buffet was good, only personal dislike was the mustard on the ham sandwiches but you can't cater for everybody and you made up with it with the cake and scones

First time visiting the Thatched cottage and was blown away by the lovely welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all fantastic and the food was top class. I had the paté and tagliatelle and everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. Beautiful bar inside and out. Highly recommend! 😊

Had starters and main but forgot to photo starters which were lovely mains were amazing and presented fantastically and I would definitely recommend the Thatch Cottage to my friends and family and I will be coming back.

Worst pub I’ve been to. Got threatened as I walked in by a woman with a dog at the bar and the bar staff did and said nothing. Horrific service, staff and costomer. I lived near it for 20years and it’s always been like this. Avoid!!!

Popped down yesterday to use my £50 voucher and treated ourselves and guests to roasts. Started with Honey & Ginger Pork Belly Bites, a glorious combination of flavour, along with a the biggest and tastiest halloumi fries any of us have tried! 3 Chicken and 1 Beef roast later, safe to say we were suitably stuffed! Really surprised with the amount of beef provided and all food was cooked to perfection.. Thank you ❤️

Beautiful long standing pub in Farnborough. Very old with low ceilings that you have to remember to duck. The food menu is unfortunately a bit uninspiring but the two of us chose some starters and a burger to share. The pork belly on a bed of asian slaw was probably our favourite. The paprika halloumi sounded good but tasted like there was way too much paprika. The tempura prawns were ok. The burger a bit meh. It was all just not that good tbh. Will definitely return for drinks as I think they have started doing a quiz again on Tuesday nights. I just can't recommend dining there, sorry.

The food and service were really good

Came to the Thatch for a drink and some food.. ordered some food at 18.52 food arrived at 1942 overcooked cold burger raw chips that had be simply blanched and not fried. Chef in civilian cloth’s staff unprofessional inexperienced untrained novices.. when I raised the complaint I was almost attacked by their disbelief that I was complaining.. when I finally dealt with the manage I felt that I was being reprimanded that I was making a complaint..extremely disappointing experience with total unprofessional customer service and extremely poor quality of food and service.. I recommend you don’t use the facility at this location unless you want to spend 1 hour waiting for something so simple as a burger. This could be thriving with better professional staff with a can do attitude and food focussed chef who simply has noy just popped in on His day off.. Went here for lunch lovely building sat in the fenced of nice garden with tables with umbrellas. Good selection from two menus ,meal size perfect ,arrived quickly and hot. The staff were very pleasant and had a happy to help attitude.
