Always been a great pub, popped in for a quick lunch ,food was worth the dollar,staff are pretty cool, known them years . Also holds many charity events .. I'd recommend this place and visit again. Thanks Guys .

I'm at a drum and base festival a very bad one since 11am. I didn't buy tickets or officially attend. Thing is tho I'm sitting in the garden where I live and some peanut wannabe old packet head thinks he's running Glastonbury at the pub opposite and he's actually embarrassing. The windows are even shaking. Can this day get any better.Big up The Alexandra pub. Packet city who gives no consideration to its neighbours

Wanted a small Sunday snack and had tried 2 other pub's in the area who both said that they weren't serving food. Bought a Guinness and vodka and lemonade as the DoomBar wasn't on, and ordered a prawns starter. We waited over 30 minutes for the food and it was so so salty we couldn't taste the prawns which were served in a very oily batter and not breadcrumbs as advertised. On the plus side we did get a refund for the food after complaining.

Visited The Alexander in Farnborough today with my 8 year old daughter. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere and the food was superb, fantastic quality and ample portions, Drinks a reasonable price. Definitely be back 🙂🙂

Foods hit and miss but otherwise had a few good nights here

Three quarters of an hour waiting for a burger? Three other people had ordered before us and they were still waiting I would never recommend or go in this pub again even if was the Only one in Farnborough

I Levi Martin Estate here it was the comfortable night sleeve in the ped apart from the noise at night but I suppose that was a staff on a Saturday night I think there was a DJ or something on or someone singing still and late at night but slept well

Great pub, wasn't doing food but let us bring in a take out. Leanne is brilliant, great service, great fun. Well recommended.

I had the fried chicken burger. It was fried to perfection and very nice and soft. The woman who served me was really friendly and nice. Definitely recommend.

This is a good old fashioned boozer with a modern feel so it's for everyone who likes pubs. It's smart and has great events, TV screens and lovely beer garden in the heart of Farnborough. And it's very competitively price. Plus the staff are amazing. So come here instead of the Tilly.

The quality and portions were phenomenal. I had the Pork Tomahawk Steak with a beautiful silky cheese sauce and it was delicious. Now under new management and ownership I was shocked at quality and presentation of the plate. The ambiance of the pub and dining area plus the frienliness of the staff was incredable. The food was highly recommend by my daughter and I highly recommend it to anyone reading this review. You will not be dissapointed. Ps I would like to say thanks for the nice Scottish Tablet and Macaroon Bar and also for a very nice family night out x

We had 5 different meals and each one was cooked perfectly, all came out together, fresh ingredients and good prices. Would thoroughly recommend. ☺️

My partner went to order drinks and was harassed by two drunk guys. Ended up having to run back to me as no one else in the bar batted an eyelid. It's disgusting that a female should be made to feel that uncomfortable in this day and age, and even the staff do nothing to stop the behaviour.

Without question, the ONLY place I go anywhere local for a drink, food and a hearty chinwag. Jolly well done to the team for providing a cosy, safe feeling environment with great atmosphere and terrific food! Ordered a cheese burger and chips, staff paid special attention to my requirement to have it made plain.

Not a massive pub goer myself, but found this place to be one of the most welcoming and friendly pubs I’ve been to. The staff were very accommodating and the food was lovely and I wouldn’t complain about the prices.

Visited with friends and they were very busy, so we were unable to eat due to the long waiting time. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were surprised to get a parking fine when we were customers and when i asked if i need to give my registration number they said no. i have appealed and i am waiting their response.

Booked a Valentines Dinner as Advertised. Turned up did get asked what my name was. Stated there was a Wake taken place so choose a Table. The Deal what was Advertised was not on display. I challenged the Landlord, who was rude and stated you choose of the Menu. Even tough there was a Set menu Advertised for £21.95. Absolutely disgusting, so went to Wetherspoons and got a better service and ambiance.

Great food, like hone cooked and hot ! Great friendly service by Leanne. Nice to see a community Pancake event going on too, involving adults and older children. Reasonable prices, not over the top. First time for us, would use again if opportunity arises, as we're not local.

Me and my friend walked in we had had nothing to drink, it was full of just men that went silent as soon as me and my friend (both young girls) walked in and the bartender said my friend has drank too much and gave us one drink and then told us to leave she said she hasn't drank that night at all but he didn't care and the atmosphere was very unsettling as the men (including staff) were talking about topics such as sexual assault in not a good way very loudly which made us very uncomfortable. Only good thing about it was the dog . Don't recommend this bar for women

Lovely pub with great service ... good vegan options too

Had high hopes for the food here after seeing the outside and walking through the door. Super friendly staff and locals! Then time for food I had the fish n chips more batter then fish and I could count the chip's 🤣🤣 mushy peas not good to watery 🫛😝 others had loaded chips same thing could count the chip's 🖐🤣🤣 and the Chilli peppers 🥵🥵🥵 still had the seeds in them 😵😵‍💫 apart from the food this day great local pub for and beer and a laugh took away a great memory 🐕

Food is amazing really good for children got games in the pub and a good outdoor area kids eat for a pound aswell! Cant go wrong all members of staff are lovely and good deals on drinks also when entertainment is on never fails to impress me

Decent pub with good choice of beers. Food was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. Only one staff for food and bar service meant some delays in service. There were a few aggressive sounding 'locals' but they were easily avoided and left once football finished

Fish and chips were excellent as were the sausages and mash and cheese and bacon burger. We were all happily stuffed. Great new landlady was really helpful. Three of the five dishes were kids or small servings with two full meals. We had four ciders and three juices and all for a fraction over fifty quid. Marvellous. Stacks of games too. See you again.

The Atmosphere was ok as it was on the Octoberfest day, however the food and the service were just awful.. the sausage and roll were cold and tasteless accompanied by very few small pieces of potatoes chips. The lady at the counter could not take our order for a long time as she was confused and did not know what’s available and which menu to use ( regular or Octoberfest one). We made our selection using the regular menu and she took our order, then turned around and said that she cannot take our order without any explanation. I had to find out from another bar tender that we can only order the Octoberfest option (“German” sausage and chips) which was way below average. Will never go back .

The food was fantastic! I had the lunch fish fingers and chips and it was so good. The beer batter on the fish was so light, the homemade tartar sauce was on point, and the chips were the perfect amount of crispy. Everyone there - employees and patrons - were so friendly, too. I will definitely be coming back!

What a fantastic pub . Great atmosphere, suitable for all ages , children and dogs. Great music venue. Went there on Friday to see a band called The Malones. Landlady , staff and clientele, all very friendly and welcoming.

Really good family place to go. Good atmosphere the bar staff are really nice and service is spot on food is really nice and loads to choose from. The owner Kas she is something else such a lovely lady really friendly and will go out her way to make you feel welcome. Highly recommended can take your dogs as well 👌.

Had a quick lunch break to watch Lionesses play Australia and we were soon tempted to a bargain lunch by staff member Donna. A great, tasty, reasonable lunch with great service. Thanks Donna.

I decided to pop in and try the new lunch offer. £6 for lunch, can't Beat it. Thanks to Donna behind the bar for talking me through the menu and the fantastic recommendation. The empty plate says it all. The food came quickly, just what you want if you are restricted on time.

Meet with 2 friends for a evening meal it was fantastic 5 starts all the way the food was freshed cooked and very nice I had the burger with Stilton and mushrooms very nice then desert was Amazing the best sticky toffee pudding I have had in a very long time and quick and wonderful service new relaunched menu well worth a visit just for the desert if parking register with the bar

Really nice food, good menu options. On a hot day with the wind coming through from the open rear doors, the smoke from a couple puffing away outside invaded the whole pub. With a different wind direction it would have been ok.

Nice place, really friendly and great surroundings

Since the new owners have taken over it is an absolute pleasure going there, it's so much clearer and the atmosphere is fantastic. Great for all occasions.

I visited this pub on 11th May 2023. A lively local pub with BT sport on the tv, there is a dart board and plenty of outside seating at the rear of the pub. There is parking but limited. The pub has just reopened, so the garden is a work in progress. The venue does food and is very, very good. I tried the pork tomahawk steak, and this has to be tried . If you are in the area, put this on your list. Will I go again, yes.

Without doubt the worst Sunday lunch I've ever had and I've had hundreds. I've been eating sunday lunches out for over 25 years so this is quite an achievement! Could not eat it. Also no offer of a refund even though they acknowledged it was poor. Feel bad for the guy serving as he was nice, but clearly stretched. Several people left early as food didn't arrived - they have no idea how lucky they were.

Food is well cooked but far too much given. Service was slow but the staff are very pleasant

Been to this pub so many times and had a great time then turned away with 15plus friends with no explanation. Will never go back now. Trades is more fun anyway. Very poor!

When you look over the menu in The Alexandra you realise instantly this isn't typical pub grub. It's full of culinary delights which overwhelm the palette with flavours and textures beyond belief. I have personally in the pub on numerous occasions and cannot believe the quality of the food from the vegetables to the meat. The Sunday Roast is exceptional and the cooks expertise in timing/ quality of produce cannot be surpased. The welcome by the landlord/ landlady ( Mike & Tegan ) is warm and friendly with a great atmosphere throughout the pub.

Decided to try lunch here. A rare occasion for me to find time, so important that it hit the mark. Had the steak and red onion baguette, and it did just that. Cooked to perfection and the sun was breaking through too, which whilst I understand the manager didn't organise, it certainly added to a great hours lunch break.

I had a steak and it is disgusting! Weird taste and texture! I fed the steak to my dog to avoid waste and the waiter thought I ate the whole steak because it is good!!!

Had amazing food for Christmas day with aj Norman, Edward Goddard and my mother as it was the 1st Christmas without my dad. The landlord Michael and his wife tegan made today so memorable with awesome food

New landlord and landlady and a new menu. Had the Sunday roast a little while back and it was great. Had some of the bar snacks tonight, chicken wings and halloumi fries (massive). Really really fab. Good beer, good wine, good prices. Farnborough had been crying out for decent pub with good food in the town centre. Glad to say it now has one.

Nice pub on the up. Good selection of beers on tap. Pub serves food in the evenings which is good if your travel for work like myself. Pub had entertainment on regularly according to the in pub advertisment., It was a good local band when I arrived and because of them and the food I stayed the whole evening.

Had a girls night out at The Alexandra with two friends last Thursday. Food was amazing, very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely selection of gins which was a definite winner!!! Will definitely be returning!! Sarah Norris

Nice pub..barmaid was fantastic

Met some friends after work for a drink, parked in the car park and saw they were sat on the outdoor terrace so joined them. I didn't notice a sign but I received a £100 parking fine in the post!

Popped in for a Sunday roast with no booking. Warm friendly service greeted us both. The quality of the meat was really good. My beef was juicy and succulent and so too was my partner's belly of pork. There was no cracking, as promised in the menu, but it was so good that she did not complain. I found out later, after winning a crown in the meat raffle, that they use Woods Butchers( a highly reputable local butcher). The cauliflower cheese was very good. Very cheesy. However, despite the great presentation of the veg, it did let the meal down. Parsnips were a bit hard and the green beans were a bit rough. Roast potatoes were ok. Without the friendly service and quality of the meat, it would have been a 4 star. I'd like to try it again and hopefully they will up their game with the veg.

The Alex is a great place to pop in for a drink. The local folks are welcoming and the staff are all very nice people. The landlady is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met and can help sort anything that's needed. Beers are average priced for a proper pub. Trivia nights and poker nights are always a fun time. The rooms are fairly basic with a bed, bathroom, and a TV, but the value for money is exceptional. A breakfast basket is dropped every morning. If visiting Farnborough, I definitely recommend a visit.

Well priced beer and snacks The terrace/smoking area is too enclosed to enjoy any fresh air.

Loved it. Friendly staff. Good price for drinks. There were love bands which was just great. Very clean toilets. (Ladies) will be visiting again soon.

Very good prices for drinks except shots are very pricey and not a lot of good options. The food is cheap because of the quality but overall a good place to go for a drink

Not been in this pub since leaving the Army over 20 years ago. Not much changed on the outside, can't comment on the inside due to Covid. We sat in the beer garden and ordered our drinks via the app and they were promptly delivered to our table by a cheerful member of staff. They have obviously invested in some outdoor gazebos and are not bad at all. There is even a TV in the large one. We only popped in whilst travelling through Farnborough, so not my local and I can't comment on what it is like in the evenings or when it is busy. But it was fine on a Saturday at about 3pm. There was one guy sitting on the veranda drinking and every second word out of his mouth was the "F" word, it would have been nice to see the staff requesting for less swearing, so would not be good to have children at that particular time. Dropped one star because of this.

Nice pub. Been plenty of times. Nice cocktails now which have been added to the menu.
