Oh My Cod in Rushmoor

The entire meal ( cod, chip, mince beef pie and mushy peas) was cold!!! I live 3 minutes away from the shop and had to microwave everything so that it was ‘edible’ . The idea of getting a takeaway was so that I wouldn’t have to cook. The large cod was what I would normally have called a small cod. It cost me £18.10 ! I will definitely NOT be using them again!!!!!!

As good as chippy you can get away from the sea ...cash only ...it's a standard above your average chippy

We ordered food for 7 people and it was all cooked fresh and tasted great.

Had pie and chips. Best chips I've ever had. Crispy, fresh - top quality. Great staff too, really polite and delivering great customer focus. A must visit

It is clearly very popular and everyone in the queue reached about the food. Can't fault the place or the staff but we were very underwhelmed with the food. We had a couple of cod and a rock with chips. Very greasy and very little fish inside all the batter. Chips and curry sauce were good though. Very pricey for what you got, wouldn't go again

Went here for a change from usual chip shop, the chips were very over done and weren’t crispy at all. Chips were quite tasteless even with salt and vinegar added at shop. Won’t use again.

Really poor customer service. Just went to order some chips…waited around 10 minutes inside the shop, no obvious sign that it was closing as they were serving still. They let me wait to then say that they were closed and not taking any more orders. They could have said that as soon as I turned up. Especially when the staff and myself had eye contact at numerous points whilst I was waiting.

I think it's the best Fish and Chips in our area, but that's my opinion. Can get very busy. So get there early.

Stopped by for Large cod & chips of which is normally quite good however on this occasion when I opened the food at home I could see that the fish looked different and the smell was different.I took one bite of the fish and it was clearly a cheaper quality alternative fish and not cod as asked for.The taste was also awful and you could see it was not cod as I opened the batter.Very disappointing and they have now lost me as a customer. Such a shame as they have been very good previously.

The fish is fresh, fries are great, and the meal comes with free extras (lemon and sauces). Also, the decorations are great! Me and my son come here all the time. Highly recommend.

Few visits here recently. Good quality food. Chips not soggy and taste good like proper chip shop chips. Fish & Chip shops like this are few and far between these days. Hope this one doesn't change!

Clean, plenty of staff, food cooked to order and reasonably priced

Ordered some Haddock and Chips earlier today…One of the GREATEST I’ve had in a loooong time. Fish was tender, batter was crispy, flavour was there. Absolutely outstanding. Chips were nothing short of extraordinary. Not soggy at all, beautiful and crunchy. Salt was fabulous, managed to get the right amount unlike those other fish and chip shops. Massive well done. Will DEFINITELY be coming here again 5 STARS

Absolutely the best fish and chips shop in the country in my opinion! The best fish and chips I've ever had the pleasure of eating. From the perfectly crispy batter to the succulent, flaky fish, every bite was a symphony of flavor. The chips were impeccably cooked, golden and crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. The portion size was generous, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be returning whenever I'm in the area.

So disappointed, price has gone up to £10.30 for cod & chips , got them home & they were stone cold !!!!

The food is ok but I really dislike the fact they only take cash, It's very inconvenient for me as I'm disabled and don't want to be having to struggle to a cash machine just for fish and chips, And they're also incredibly expensive it's like over 4 quid for a large chips, and the smallest cod and chips is £10.30. So I probably won't be using them again not on my budget.

Update: Prices have gone up again. For a cash only business that doesn't then have to pay Card Payment service costs, this is not fair. Also the inconvenience for the customer having to take out cash specifically for this take away! Also everyone knows the relationship between cash only businesses and appropriate taxes... For Pescatarian diet followers, although fish is cooked separate to the meat products, it is then kept with the Sausages and touching the Sausages. They could easily have something in the "keep warm" glass oven thing to ensure the fish and meat is separate. ------ Great Fish and Chips! Could be improved by following: When I went there, there were 4 members of staff at the front. 1 person on till and the other 3 standing around. They could get a 2nd till to help speed up service/paying? I was waiting to be served. No one asked me if I was doing a collection etc. (My first ever visit). Another customer walks in and asks for his collection and gets served straightaway which was a bit unfair and annoying. Cash only so that's inconvenient. Fish a little on the small side. Great they give a wedge of lemon and satchet of tartare. Fish and Chips cooked separately to meat so good for pescatarian diet.

Im not a regular reviewer but i felt i had to review this place. Fish and chips should be simple and easy to do well but so often they aren’t. These guys do it right!! Really great chips and delicious fish. Lovely small extras such as a slice of lemon and tartar sauce included. I can honestly say this is one of the best chippys ive been to for a long while. Great work guys!!

This is the place to go for fish and chips. The staff, food is outstanding. I would recommend you call and place your order. I will not be going anywhere else for fish and chips, this is the place to go. Massive shout out too manager and all the staff, you are fantastic

Service was attentive and respectful. Though slightly pricey (however what super chippy isn't? Fish and chips for a fiver has looooooonnng gone) - the cod was definitely good value for money. Why? See below... The batter on the cod was crisp, fresh and didn't suffocate the cod. The cod inside was light and flaky and although not straight out the fryer still dense and flavoursome. Shout out to the slice of lemon and tartare sauce on the side too - touch of class! This is in comparison to a piece of cod that weighs a ton, is stuck to the greasy batter feels like a marathon to eat (yes chip shops do sell those for £7.50 too!). The chips were large, soft and delicious - I only needed a cones worth with my fish. The peas and curry sauce seem a lot for £1.40 but a tub would potentially serve two people or one incredibly starving individual who likes a...drink - the sauces were smooth and combined lead to perfect chips, peas and curry sauce. Reminiscent of Hi-Tide Fish Bar - the original that people used to indulge for their Friday tea on a weekly basis.

I have been to many fish and chip shops in my time but Oh My Cod definitely supersedes the rest. Perfectly fried fish that was crispy, crunchy and full of flavour, just amazing food in general and fantastic value. I would highly recommend.

We had Oh my cod last night and was very disappointing. We ordered a burger with no salad and just sauce so we had to go back and get it changed. The burger was a brick and black inside and out. My fish cake was very burnt so made the taste very crunchy inside. Our battered susage was black inside, I thought this was just different meat so we tried it anyway and it was a massive no go. Out of our meal we only had the chips witch wasnt good at all and to crispy and looked like they were just re warmed back up. Very disappointing as was our last takeaway before Christmas. So won't be going back. However it is very clean and I couldn't fault the service at all so I have nothing bad to say about the people 😀

This place is fab, the best fish and chips in and around Farnham - we tried and tested them all, lots of options too. Plus they have a great sustainable ethos there with where their ingredients from and packaging.

Had a small cod and chips at lunch time today. Amazing! Chips perfect, crispy on the out site moist fluffy on the inside, no grease. Fish, perfect again not greasy, nice fresh crisp batter, nice skinless, boneless fresh cod. Best cod and chips I have had for a long time. Very reasonably priced in these difficult times. Will definitely be going back, maybe my local chippy should visit and get some ideas.

Excellent fish and chips from Oh My Cod. First time I tried there after reading such good reviews and they didn’t disappoint - one of the best in the area. Nice crisp chips, well cooked, good quality fish in crispy batter, and the mushy peas were very nice - and a natural colour for a change rather than the artificial lurid bright green they sometimes are. Food well packed in a cardboard box and paper bag so stayed warm and didn’t go soggy on the drive home. Busy in the shop (always a good sign), but service was efficient and friendly. Small cod and chips with mushy peas cost £11.20, cash only.

This is lovely fish and chips spot for takeaway. On sunny day you can do eat in but u have sit on the bench. More popular for takeaway. But the food is great.

Not sure where the owner is who is usually so nice and friendly and serves tasty food but the food is terrible tonight . Just ordered cod bites & chips and left it all . Chips were soaked in grease and cod bites hardly any fish . Really disappointing and really disgusting .

Only second visit but equally as good as first. Great food, great portions and cheerful service - will definitely be back. Only one small criticism, as you only take cash could you update on line price list?

Really can’t fault them, food is hot & fresh even still warm when got home. Also my first time going to a chippy where they serve fish & chips with complimentary lime slice & tartare sauce. Will be back again

Great food, bit pricy but well worth it. Got a large cod and chips (a bit over £10) and everything was right. They do even charge for sauces but I can't complain becuase the food was good. Also came with a really nice reuseable bag.

Ordered two haddock and chips, one cod and chips and curry sauce. Only had chips with the cod so called to complain. I was told haddock doesn’t come with chips and the portion of chips with the cod is for sharing 😂😂 Poor, very Poor.

Tucked away on the backside of Aldershot is not where you would expect to find the Worlds best fish 'n' chip takeaway. The food is always fabulous, freshly cooked to order. It is very good quality and value for money. Leo and the staff give great customer service.

Best fish and chip shop around for miles. Huge selection of fish, very sustainable. Oil is locally sourced as are the potato's. Doesn't have a card machine but there is a machine to withdraw money from in the news agents next door. Actually getting some tonight

Great to see a good variety of fish for sale rather than just cod and Haddock. I had my old favourite Rock. Would definitely go again service was fast and very friendly.

I was in UK for a vacation. Enjoyed the delicious fish and chips here. Staff named Mathew was very nice. He gave a warm welcome and suggested variety of dishes offered by the restaurant . He was very prompt and friendly. Appreciate his service and hard work .

Excellent food, the fish was perfect and cooked in the lightest batter, the chips were proper chip shop chips, my in laws stated that it was the best fish and chips they had had in a very long time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the fish, plenty of tasty fish in lovely light batter and the chips are proper chip shop chips. My mum and dad visited and said that the best fish and chips they have had in a very long time.

Fish & Chips we’re great, it’s was made fast and the staff were police as well as the shop model and clean. However they did not except card and gave the fish and Chips in a plastic bag, rather than a 100% biodegradable bag. Come on “Oh My Cod” this is 2022, be more sustainable!

Recent refurb has the place looking fantastic. Fast and efficient service ... it's a nice place to be. And, obviously, the Cod and Chips is absolutely fantastic.

Nice neat beautiful Chip shop, with well packaged fish and chips. The only down side is, it's cash only, but the solution is in the next shop with cash machine.

Cod seems to be getting alot smaller , I'd rather pay more and get a proper large cod , the large is not a large anymore , so bit disappointing cooked very well, just please sort out the portion size. Curry sauce is loverly , and by far one of the top fish and chip shops
