Muffin Break in Eastbourne

Went yesterday morning & was ordering by the till, the staff were Unbothered to take an order, had to call them multiple times, worst customer service.

Breakfast was ok, other than could have been hotter, the bread was meant to be toast and then eggs where put on top, the the greatest breakfast :( Staff wearing protective gloves, yet touching their hair and other areas of counter outside the food prep area :(

I love the coffee here and the staff are always friendly and polite. Great loyalty scheme too. Can get quite busy but I always manage to find a seat.

I pop in here whenever I can, food is delicious and well prepared, staff are friendly and always do their best to serve you quickly despite the queue. Clean and tidy inside with clean toilets.

There was a bit of plastic in the bottom of the cup but except for that it was lovely

People playing thire phones without ear buds for calls and streaming at the back of the cafe but I am still going to try again with hope I can miss the posers.

Carrot cake was very nice. Cappuccino however was spoiled by the amount of bitter ‘chocolate’ powder that had been sprinkled on top… Maybe I should have said “no chocolate “ but likewise, maybe they should have asked…

Our first time in here my wife ordered a mango ice cooler I got a green tea and a ham and cheese panini, we didn't get asked if we wanted the panini cooked let alone knackered and my wife's drink was given to another table with children but instead of replacing the whole drink they just swapped the drinks from there table to ours, we know food hygiene is paramount but we were expected to eat something that would potentially break my teeth, and my wife was potentially having to drink her cooler with the same straws health and safety goes out the window in this place.the staff didn't know where we were sitting and didn't ask us when the drink came out, please retrain your staff in the fundamental of there job, and its great to be greeted with a smile but we expect good service along with it .

It was okay but I ordered a sausage roll I'm not being funny but carrots in a sausage roll don't think so it didn't taste right either but I told the waitress that I didn't like it am I girlfriend told it too with that cut them in its later gentleman from Beyond account I've got me a free chocolate muffin so as always well but I've fancied a sausage roll why can't they just do normal sausage rolls or indicate that the sausage roll has got certain things in it it had spices in it and I can't eat spiced because I've got a bad stomach from previous stab injury to my stomach so I can't take spicy food so if they stipulate it to add spices in it I wouldn't have actually my milkshake was lovely and my girlfriend's cup of tea was lovely and croissant I think you shouldn't consider marking your menu better

Very slow service, waited half hour formy drink. Server confused what table ordered what. Hot chocolate good

Dietary options are limited, coffee is mediocre at best. I don't see the point of keeping the café open so late if they limit seating an hour early and start to clean around you when you're still trying to enjoy food and drinks. I understand staff want to go home but it's not professional or hygienic to spray products around people's drinks.

Went to it today food and coffee great and with a warm welcome 🤗😁 and very pleased about the coffee ☕.

We visited Muffin Break today. The food was fantastic and people very nice especially with my little daughter . A big thanks to Sengul who is managing the coffee shop.

We visited at 4.30, knowing they were closing at 5.00 pm, the muffins we had were fresh and delicious but what was very off-putting was the STRONG smell of bleach emanating from the mop bucket one of the girls was using. Surely that could be done after the shop closed? Won't be going there so late again.

Amazing food and drinks, the staff is helpful and friendly especially Sensul who's been amazing and outstanding in her service

For the money, you can definitely get better. It wasn't terrible, just not fabulous

Nice little coffee and cake shop in the Beacon. It's a step up from the overpriced Starbucks etc. The muffins are pretty good.

Went in there last week. Was cold, no heating and shared toilet between make & female. Won't be going in there again.

Nice atmosphere and a good range of options, some other elements might be a bit questionable though. I ordered the signature Yorkshire pudding wrap; it was nice, I mean it was a Yorkshire pudding with some stuff in it so what do you expect, but overpriced for what you get. The gimmick only carries you so far, and the staff weren't especially friendly either. Overall, this was okay, neither special nor awful.

We went here for a coffee and cake whilst shopping at The Beacon in Eastbourne. The drinks were nice and the blueberry muffin was fresh and equally nice. The service was prompt and staff brought our order to the table. It was busy all the time we were there. The cafe runs a loyalty card scheme too. It's always nice to get a free coffee.

Me and mine friend went in there last Friday and we both had a hot chocolate and it was very nice with loads of cream and marshmallows we be coming back

Food is good, service is average nothing special.

Had a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. It was still warm and was absolutely lovely. Washed down with a decent coffee. Banana milkshakes are very nice as well. It was nice and clean. Service was friendly and quick

Got there at 5.10 on Saturday and they said they couldn't do food because they'd turned the toaster off. I understand they want to leave on time but how hard is it to toast a sandwich and wipe in down. I used to work in hospitality and we never didn't serve someone just because it was closer to closing time. They had time Appalling service from the Eastbourne Beacon center Muffin Shop. They seemed to have time to chat though

Sat in muffin break Eastbourne tea was taken for a long trip round the shop so was stewed when arrived. asked for replacement waitress didn't understand but gave her teapot back then she did teapot only half full when returned. Still waiting for food at least 10 minutes after sitting down, customers arriving after me being served and food arriving within 2 minutes. Doesn't take this long for fruit toast and asking now 3 times still no food.20 minutes later finally arrived.

OMG 1st time here the other day just myself and my hubby. We was feeling sick because we needed something to eat and drink . So ham hock panni. Mac&cheese. Tart spinach and feta hot chocolate orange Terry's drink oh my it was great. Just what we needed . Told josh you need to come with us next time. Ladies work together and hard too in that small space . Cakes look nice too. Wore gloves which is always nice to see. Thanks ladies we will be back. Merry Christmas to you all good health for the new year. I am disabled I could get invite Manuel stroller sit at booth . You could get a wheelchair in too

Went to this coffee shop, which I usually do but today had a disrespectful welcome. The Italian girl that works there is just not competent at all. There was a misunderstanding and she was talking about me to her colleague like I wasn't there!! So I left without buying anything. Disgusting behaviour, very offensive. Not recommended anymore.

Packed today but staff are so friendly & always clearing away dirty dishes from tables. Well done 👍✅

Just stumbled across this little gem after a stressful morning. What a lovely spot. Lovely cake and coffee. Lovely, helpful and efficient staff. Will be back.

Long wait for staff to acknowlege I was waiting to be served despite 4 staff members behind counter, admittedly they were busy but should still acknowledge that i was waiting especially as no one else in queue. Staff did not smile or make eye contact. Points machine not working. Hot chocolate was good and cafe was clean.

Quick and friendly service. Lovely coffee with alternative milk options. The spinach and feta cheese pie is delicious.

Been here several times and found that the coffee quality is consistent but the muffin quality and taste varies. I compare this to Hastings branch where the muffins ate definitely better. However I have given 5 stars for the hot food and sandwiches which are excellent and value for money. Having the toilet door opening into the middle of the restaurant is not ideal and I question the hygiene.

Good staff good food good price in comparison to others . muffins lack a bit off favour compared to Ruby's. This an update 4 years later. Biscoff duffin yummy. Coffee Walnut which is gluten free should be avoided,. Powdery, crumbly is bad but expected, but to have no coffe flavour and minimal walnut flavour cannot be accepted, sorry

The food was amazing, but the lady with the brown hair and glasses talked to a junior employee in a way which disgusted many of us at the queue. If my boss would talk to me in this manner in such a condescending way, I would immediately leave the company.

Exceptionally friendly staff, very welcoming and attentive and very quick to clean tables. Coffee was great as was my lemon muffin.

Not a bad cafe, maybe for an amateur. We were here for the first time and definitely won't be back. We ordered the signature bacon and cheese macaroni casserole - it was extremely salty. Couldn't even get through half of it. The cheesecake was ok. And red velvet tastes awfully sweet and flat. The most delicious was the coffee in this place.

This is usually a great experience when I have visited other branches. Today was no different. The place was spotless and enjoyed the coffee and lovely selection of food. Service was very quick the place was quite busy even on a Monday morning in January....

Ive been going here for years and the quality of the food and drinks are always outstanding 🤩 The staff always friendly and helpful and supportive of my young son who has complex special needs. Highly recommend 💛💛💛💛💛

Been here a few times. I'm not sure if I'm just hard to please but I found the Muffins to be very bland. I'm also not in love with the proximity of the toilet within the cafe. The staff were friendly and efficient but in my opinion and it is just my opinion there are far better places to find a good coffee and Muffin.

Nice little cafe Coffee is good. Not good for celiacs but I was told this by staff to no issue.

Lovely little cafe, had a wonderful hot chocolate with so much whipped cream and marshmallow to take down a horse! Loved it!

First coffee left fir ages while made other two, one at a time, was cold by time finished it. Need multiple coffee taps if going to sell multiple coffees. Sausage roll was almost inedible, had what liked like carrot in it, and didn't taste of meat at all. Sign clearly said SAUSSAGE roll. Poor English could hardly understand staff. Tables do close hard to get seated without people behind moving their chairs. Won't be going back, that's fir sure.

Great selection of foods both savoury and sweet. Friendly and polite staff. Accept contactless payments aswell as cash. Muffins were a bit dry, but overall a great cafe and great for strong coffee.

The Muffin Break is a cozy coffee shop located within the Beacon in the heart of Eastbourne. We went in after searching around for a pumpkin spice latte (as Starbucks has not had any available for a whole week) and we were not disappointed. As well as the huge lattes, we got some lunch as the shop offers a range of savoury and sweet options. Overall, very pleased with the quality of food and service and highly recommended as a place to chill and grab a coffee.

Food is good for snacking and the milkshakes are terrific.

Slightly pricey but oh so worth it. The hot chocolate is to die for.

I've just been to Eastbourne for a week and this lovely coffee shop was my favourite place to go for a nice caramel latte I felt relaxed in here and of course the latte was perfect and the staff very nice even when very busy hopefully I can return again soon thank you 👍🏻.

Impressive little cafe in the Beacon shopping centre. Food was really good and well priced and the staff were really friendly which you could see in the faces of the other diners.

A really cosy place. The food is excellent especially the pannis & the cheese scones with jam. Cappuccino is my favourite.

First time here and not disappointed. Cappuccino was beautiful and hot, and the chocolate mud cake is to die for ! Relaxed atmosphere and polite staff, would definitely come back.

I order a,cold drink and the young lad that served me was OK but I was not impressed how he spoke to the young lady on barasta if he spoke to me like that I would have thrown it at him very unprofessional especially in front of customers there time and place and the other girl hought it was funny which was not made me very annoyed I told them they were rude

Over heard staff slagging off customers!

I took my mum shopping to Eastbourne we decided to go for a coffee so we visited muffin break, firstly we went to use the ladies as we entered the ladies a staff member said the most shocking awful comment she shook her head and said how charming bc I went in with my mother.. ( for reasons of her ill health and needs assistance ) with that we decided not to stay for our coffee . I mentioned it to the manageress( young girl ( having no idea of manners or sorry - was her self very rude she said you used the loo but didn’t buy a coffee bearing in mind we both needed to go and then find a seat as my poor mum needed a rest I was told to get out the shop I want you out she shouted I was most disgusted sniggering to the other staff I am deeply shocked as to how on earth this or these woman got the job customers always right they say god on this occasion. I had no hope my poor mother has a terminal illness and was just enjoying her time out .. I will not ever visit this shop again bad attitude rude and what on earth did she make a comment so rude as she did she’s my mother she never been around people who need help what did she think we were going in there for … I’m so disgusted !!!!!!!!

Really friendly and genuine staff make this place seem special. Made us and our little dog very welcome. Coffee is excellent and setting very relaxed. We enjoyed our visit. Thank you.

Great drinks and food, however staff attitudes questionable made the experience a little uncomfortable with arguments in the background. However the lady working was polite and kind. Still recommend it though.

Ok for a quick snack but rude staff I gave up with my coffee card as thought I wouldn’t be going in there again.Just been in there for a coffee just to see if it had changed still rude.Won’t be going back so will stick to Costa.
