Old Farmhouse - Hungry Horse in New Forest

I often go into the farmhouse to unwind or play the quiz, the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and the staff are super accommodating. A particularly friendly face would have to be Kayleigh. She always has time for you no matter how busy it is and any thing we’ve needed help with she’s been the first to offer. This is a great place to come for a pint and a catch up.

We come every week for the quiz and I cannot understate how enjoyable that is and how good the service is. Most weeks we come there is one staff member who shines JOSIE. She is helpful and attentive and seeing her on the floor we know we are in for a good night!

Food was very nice and they had very nice service and staff were kind and helpfully would definitely visit again ………….!!

We were served by Jean and Zoe who were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Freddie the dog was also catered for with water and gravy bones. Fab fish'n'chips and will come again

We tried to find somewhere to take the family for dinner and also watch England in the Euro’s. We very pleased with the service, atmosphere and value for money. Family friendly, ordering via the app was surprisingly fast and efficient. Could have asked for more. Thank you!

The meal was lovely and such a treat, food well cooked and served. The staff warm and welcoming. Do miss the old menu with more choice and have to say you always did the best sizzlers ever! Have a lot of guests over the summer and every year they always want to visit you for sizzlers.

Rewind to 2022 and this place was lovely, fast forward to now and it is terrible. The food was cold, steak like a slimy piece of rubber and the price of the mixed grill is an absolute joke for what you get, there was probably enough meat to feed a ladybird. The roast dinners looked like poundland microwave meals and the pastry on the pie has the consistency of plaster from the walls. If I had a choice of returning here or hacking off my own legs and eating them then my foot rest would be no longer needed and my days of running for a bus would be over.

Stopped off here after cycling in the new forest, friendly helpful staff. Excellent pub food well cooked and great portions. Would recommend. COVID safe.
