Not the best experience and quite frankly after a number of years going there, the food quality and standards are very poor. It’s ridiculously busy with queuing of 20 minutes plus. Breakfast cut off is 12pm so if you arrive in good time, by the time you get to the front of the queue they stop serving breakfast. Today was a disaster, £44 pounds for food, coffee and two pastries. The chips with the burger were soaked in oil and you can see they had been re -fried a number of times, I would go as far as to say the oil being used did not show or smell to be clean, going off the industry I was formally part off and the burger although edible, was under seasoned and dry at the edges. This would explain that from point of ordering to service of food we only waited 7 minutes. The chips were replaced with chips that were equally as similar. I ate the better ones and left the rest. The two pastries were raw underneath and we left half of each. The drinks arrived 10 minutes after the meals were served. Not ideal. This is not the place it used to be and the head chef and management need to take a good look at themselves if this food standard is acceptable. I can honestly say after possible the 5th negative experience there, I will save my money and go else where. This review is not a reflection of garsons, just the restaurant within.

The queues here are always very long, so it takes a long time standing to make an order. They should implement an online ordering service from the table (QR code). Food is also extremely expensive.

Over priced. My plate of ham & egg was dripping in oil and a very small portion of chips for £16. Wife had the scrambled eggs with salmon and the eggs were dry and made from dehydrated egg powder for £15. First and last time eating at that "food" actory.

Food is generally ok, but average at best. Really disappointed today when I ordered the ham, eggs and chips. The ham was cold and I am pretty sure came right out of a ham slice packet...not what I would expect with a hot meal. Waiting times in the queue each occasion I have been have been minimal of 30mins. Really need the option of self service ordering via an app which would really improve the experience. Staff seem friendly and helpful.

Orangery Tea House is a spacious cozy spot with a lovely, inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient, and our food arrived quickly. We ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast, Avocado Toast, and Salmon Bagel—all of which were delicious. The cappuccino was also excellent. Nice looking cafe for a sunny day but the hot food is really bad. It tastes like pre-prepared microwaved meals and not particularly good ones at that. Scrambled eggs are dry and the curry was clearly not freshly made/made in-house. It's not at all value for money and more expensive than surrounding cafes. The cakes look OK but the muffin and scones were as dry as a bone, I'm not sure about the other cakes so won't comment on them. Coffee was just OK but obviously don't expect it to be like a real barista type coffee. Didn't find the service to be that welcoming either for the most part if I'm being totally honest. No desire to return

If you are retired or have preschool kids and deep pockets its your place apparently for week day lunches. The club sandwich was strongly priced for a cold chicken mayo mix and cold bacon with lettuce and tomato. £14.95 I think with just a garnish salad and a long cue at lunchtime. Plenty of people there who clearly dont mind the food/price. Its not a horrible atmosphere if a little corporate, it did lacked charm.

This is great, particularly for breakfast and lunch. It offers a really wide variety of meals throughout the day, and a roast on a Sunday. It can get incredibly busy here at peak hours such as 12pm - 1pm. Whilst I've never struggled to get a seat, it can be quite noisy and messy due to the shear number of people in the restaurant. A great place with a lot of potential, a very nice environment, and they call themselves award winning of some sort of. Their staff clearly thinks the opposite....disorganised and no greetings manners. That though is not a deal breaker by itself....The Orangery make themselves famous for their delicious cement mixed scrambled eggs, cupboard, saw cutting back bacon, (yesterday's toasted) bread, lukewarm beans, and half overcooked, half raw vine of 16 random cherry tomatoes. Amazing lemon weekend cake, but probably made last weekend, just so it can pack some flavour and build a nice crispy outer layer. I cannot believe we spent £42 for this disgrace. If I were a chef or a manager there, with people spending that amount of money, I would be ashamed to serve it. But I now know what that award they claim they have won is: making sure no customer comes back.

The food was disgusting. Soggy onion rings sat up on the hot plate for who knows how long. The Coleslaw was mostly red onion so you couldn't taste anything else. Our food arrived approx 5 mins after ordering so clearly wasn't even vaguely fresh. My Buttermilk chicken burger had dried out and gone dark and stringy. I asked for another one which also arrived within 5 mins and was only slightly better. Even the salad in the bun tasted off which is a very poor showing for a Cafe on a Farm.

I love the cakes here, especially the chocolate profiteroles cake. To be honest, we've been to the Garson's garden center many times before, but we've never had a meal at the cafe until somewhere around christmas time last year. It was super busy, saw loads of nice dishes from what people had ordered. We had coffee and this lovely looking chocolate profiteroles cake, which is a chocolate mousse cake with profiteroles in it. It looks very mouthwatering and tastes super yummy that we revisit the place again for the cakes and coffees. Obviously, the cakes tastes amazing, but coffee isn't very nice, which is a pity. It would be perfect, If they changed the coffee. Next time we will try their lunch menu as well, cause I can't stop looking when the foods went past us to other tables.

Awful service. I went there to have lunch on Father’s Day. My 1 year old baby was tired and crying, as other toddlers in the room. The waiter came to our table and said we had to calm her down, she needed attention and if we minded if he could hold her because other customers were complaining. That was very rude, if you are a parent you know how difficult sometimes it can be, and asking to hold her because we were not giving her attention and that is why she was crying? If this is a public restaurant that allows babies and kids inside, people must be aware that cries can happen and if they are not willing to have this type of noise in the background, they should go to a silent place or a restaurant that only accepts adults. Also, we think the waiter was more irritated than anyone else and used this excuse as he really wanted me to get my child and leave the room. My husband went to talk with the manager and he said restaurant was too busy for him to stop, and he would have a word with the waiter later. I’m other words, he didn’t care. I was really disappointed with the way we were treated there. This was after we had waited 30min in the queue and about 30min for the food.

I’ve been to this cafe several times and it’s always a really relaxing, fun experience and decor feels a bit trendy (although caveat, not relaxing on a bank holiday Monday!) The coffee is really decent for a garden centre cafe, the cakes are awesome with a huge selection inc cookies, doughnuts, cheesecake etc. It’s light, bright, easy to order at the till and you’re brought your food pretty quickly. I’ve knocked a star off as I do think the meals are oversized. You get value for money yes but my butternut squash salad (very tasty) easily had almost a full bag of greens in it which while healthy just felt a bit overwhelming. My iced latte was also massive and ended up just tasting of milk. I’d happily pay a bit less and get a bit less. Other than that, love the place.

Awful service, even worse manager. Every time I visit the staff and manager seem to be very lost and very ignorant. Today I was made to queue in one line for 15 mins, then as soon as it was my turn to order, was ordered to queue on the other side as the till was closing. Once I had queued on said other side the manager approached saying we could now queue on our original side as the staff break had ended. I ended up queuing for half an hour, barely got an apology by a very high-and-mighty manager and was able to witness very entertaining scenes as the staff ran around like headless chickens not doing very much. When asking for another fork the waitress bringing it sighed blatantly in our face. Also chewed on some egg shells in the cake. Awful service every time and not just my own experience. Everyone on our surrounding tables had their own problems about the service here and hope this is sorted soon as it is a total disgrace. The manager and staff absolutely ruin this lovely farm and restaurant.

For the price if £14.95 I wouldn't go there again. The staff need to be more careful of the preparation of the food. My friends lunch was looking good which was good as it was my treat. I know flies cannot be avoided but surely the cakes should be covered, also the orangey was so hot no windows or air condition. I've eaten in there a couple of times before and it's been nice not this visit unfortunately.

Lovely atmosphere and staff very good. Unfortunately the quality of the food is poor. Not for foodies. We had breakfast there. Eggs tasted like they were from processed liquid eggs and mushrooms from a tin. I expected better considering there is a farm there.

I go there regularly for a batter sausage and chips in the afternoon - very tasty and a good price at £5.90

I had just ribs - 6 ribs for 6.50 , sounds a bit much for just ribs but genuinely the best ribs I've had in ages and definitely enough. Top drawer !
