Very slow food service for sandwiches. Very dry & tasteless Club sandwich, not worth waiting for. Waitress lovely & knowledgeable. Shame as it's a lovely venue. Food & slow service let it down.
We had a fantastic birthday dinner at the Bedford Arms. The pub has a warm, welcoming feel with lovely surrounding, perfect for a special evening.
The food was excellent - fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavour. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal, and the desserts were a real highlight, especially the sticky toffee pudding!
The staff were friendly and attentive and catered to our every need. They even added a thoughtful touch for the birthday, which was much appreciated.
All in all, a great place to celebrate. We'll definitely be back.
Comida deliciosa, servicio eficiente y atento, decoración encantadora.
Popped in for a snack lunch. Lovely selection of ciabattas available but landlady happy to accommodate the simpler tastes of two of our group and willingly provided cheese and ham baguettes. Good beer well kept (Harveys), tasty food that was nicely presented and value for money. Will visit again.
We came to Margate for a day trip and were having a bit of a rubbish day as everything was closed given it was midweek out of season! We were disappointed but as a final thing before we left we saw this pub was open and serving food too so thought we’d try it.
The manager (Alex) who served us couldn’t have been any more friendly or helpful - especially as we had a 1 year old and were trying to find something suitable for her to eat - which hadn’t been easy in Margate. They happily adapted a starter of avocado and egg on toast for her. The wedge-like fries, fried chicken and fish for us were great too.
Really great, incredibly helpful and friendly service that totally rescued an otherwise rough day! So glad we discovered this place. Thank you!

Went for a group lunch, reasonably priced at £27 for two courses. Carvery, the beef looked great, but was very tough. I couldn't eat it. The staff on clearing the tables didn't ask why I hadn't eaten it!
