The best restaurants in North West

Definitely the best Italian in Carlisle! Every time we go, we are never disappointed, each starter and main meal are simply divine, we’re always too full to get a pudding! Tonight we had mussels and meatballs to start, then cod risotto and sea bass. The mussels are in a large bowl and very tasty, exceptional value - I sometimes ask for these as a main meal. My husband said the meatballs were delicious. The cod risotto is an absolute treat, crispy skin, soft and tasty flesh, and the risotto compliments the cod exceptionally well. My husband had the sea bass, and again just mouth watering! Beautiful meal, excellent service and reasonable! Thank you Amatos for being so amazing, you are our favourite Italian in town and we will be back!

Great food and really nice staff

Really tasty food, on the pricier side for Wigan but didn't mind since the food was tasty, good portions and good service. The restaurant was nicely decorated but it was quiet when we went. Would go back.

Amazing food and cocktails. Michael our server was great, very friendly and always making sure we had everything we needed.

We visited after we had been to the museum. We are frequent visitors to Cafe Ambio at Astley Park so thought we’d try this one. Between us we had a beef sandwich, a children’s lunch box, chips, hot drinks, cake and ice cream. The food and drinks were all hot and tasty. The kids sandwich was in a brioche bun which my son didn’t like and the ham was quite fatty. It does state on the menu it’s a roll not bread but it didn’t mention brioche- this was a huge issue for my son who has sensory issues. The staff were friendly and efficient, the place was clean and welcoming. I was stunned by how much more expensive it is compared to the other Cafe Ambio.

We found the food excellent. Atmosphere fairly chilly as heaters had not warmed up. The service we found poor because we were initially overcharged. This was fixed when we asked for explanation. However I recommend that patrons scrutinise their bill before payment.

Nice place and great service .had Sunday roast Beef . Beef fatty . Don’t thinks it’s topside cut ?? Plenty of gravy , but it needs a small gravy boat for the big Yorkshire pudding which was the best, roast puds hard veg very nice , would go back . Just needs little tweeks . I’m local to this pub just being honest

I used to visit here regularly, however, back at Mother’s Day had quite a bad time in regards to customer service. Not getting drinks amongst other things, it pains me to say this has not improved. Although the overall food was good, I do feel, chips with pulled beef has gone downhill. That however wasn’t my main issue. I went with 2 other adults, 2 of us ordered a starter and the third did not want one. On getting our food our starters and mains were all delivered at the same time, my daughter asked for some mayo, simple request it was forgotten completely. I won’t be returning!

Very polite staff good food and a great atmosphere

Food was lovely not to expensive, looked very clean, service was great, staff were friendly apart from the manager who seemed a bit moody and was not very nice to younger staff in front of other guest.

A lovely friendly cafe in the heart of Stockton Heath village. We had not been into the town for a very long time and wanted a nice cosy cafe for brunch and whilst searching on Google maps we found Heaths and so very pleased we found this cafe. The staff were very welcoming from the second we walked in. The brunch of the breakfast and poached eggs on toast were cooked well. And the coffees were also made well and tasted great so thanks to Heaths, we’ll be back & very soon!

I always enjoy going to Costa because of their coffee and atmosphere but customer service in the one in Fallowfield is really poor as recently, on 2-3 occasions, Staff -expecially a lady who looks like she's the boss as keeps giving orders to another Staff member- have been quite in a rush and I could only be served a takeaway cup. According to what the above mentioned lady told me, that was because it was only 2 of them and they couldn't catch up! Ps: I went today at 3.30 pm so, considering they are supposed to close at 6 pm, I don't think it's a good reason why they should serve customers like that!

Lovely Sunday lunch but would like some roast potatoes . Nice welcoming staff
