Went there to open my fast with my wife, even though it was an Indian restaurant, they still acknowledged that we were waiting to open our fast, the manager came along and gave us dates and fruits to open the fast, which they really didn’t have to, but this was an amazing gesture, we always get the butter chicken from here it’s always tasty and fresh, also got the grilled meat dish, which was really nice, but the kebabs were different then other places but was still nice, unfortunately I didn’t take any pics of the food but, I see a lot of the reviews complaining about the prices for me it was quality over anything else and the food quality of this place has never let me down personally, thanks to the Bardez team for going above and beyond it’s appreciated!

We went a bit mad and bought every dish I’d dreamed of eating for years. I have a nut allergy and have been caught out too many times leading me to kick the curry habit a long time ago. However, Marcus’s gaff on the curry mile contains bespoke spices direct from India and Marcus knows each and every dish like family. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the UK. Best ever.

I visited this restaurant for my evening meal today. The ambience was nice and vibrant. Starting with the positives. Chicken lollipop was good with schezwan chutney by side. Cheese naan was brilliant as well. Coming to the negative experiences too long wait for the pint of kingfisher which looked flat and didn't taste like kingfisher when asked for any other beer option they didn't had any other lagers so I had to choose scotch. Secondly chilly chicken was average with lot of msg my tounge is still numb with after taste. Chicken 65 was a disaster nothing like it's name. Soggy wet clumsy chicken tossed in right south Indian tempering but meaningless . It was waste and not anywhere near to average chicken 65. The staff had only one girl attentive whom I tipped as well but rest was chaotic till the owner or manager came to manage them by reading orders and delegating the work. With my experience I can presume that the chefs are old school they might be very good in traditional mains and naan breads but creativity gradient for popular modern day fusion dishes wasn't there. I won't complaint about pricing as it is adequate as per the ambience offered. Chicken in both dishes was tough and had bit of weird after taste as it was on the verge of getting off. I don't like disturbing hard earned review algorithm so won't play around with it . Best of luck team bardez.

Called at lunchtime today at this clean and tidy establishment. Starters of Chicken Manchurian was excellent, full of flavour, and the chilli garlic Mogo was tasty too. Chicken tikka was good, pilau rice ok, garlic naan a little dry and lacking. The lamb saag was full of flavour but could have been a little more tender, although winter lamb does tend to be this way to be fair. The cost is a little higher than we are used to in Yorkshire. The service was fantastic.

Superb food and service. The lamb salt and pepper starter was exceptional. Very warm reception by the staff and would highly recommend.

If you're looking for value, this place doesn't quite deliver. The price you pay for the food doesn't justify the quantity you're getting, and unfortunately, the taste is nothing to write home about either. It feels like you're paying a premium for a mediocre experience, and that's disappointing. With so many other options out there offering better flavor and portions for a fair price, this one might not be worth the visit.

Went here for Dad’s 70th Birthday, ordered lamb shank biryani and rogan josh and its the absolute best we’ve ever had in Manchester. Came 30 mins early and got our tables ready, service is top notch, one of the best restaurant we’ve been to so far in Manchester. Trust me, my husband has been a chef for 15 years and we all loved the food there!! 100/10 can’t recommend enough!!

Very very very nice indeed. The starters were a great size and delicious, the Lamb shank Rogan Josh was epic, the paneer was beautiful and the mixed grill sizzler was gorgeous. The music was great and the staff were very friendly. They are from Goa. I highly recommend Bardez, Twas bob on 👍

I recently chose Bardez to cater for my son’s engagement party. On meeting Marcus I knew he was passionate about food, and took a lot of pride in his food but could he cater for my needs. I met up with Marcus and we went through all the options and chose what we wanted. I also said to him that as you know south Asian parties no one cares about the venue, how much you paid for decor it’s all about the food, which he totally understood and said that I had nothing to worry about so I took the leap of faith and booked him. I have never come across anyone as professional, passionate, as Marcus when it came to food. On the day of the event he was there at the time he said and Marcus and the team got to work. From the moment of meeting him to go through the options to the event Marcus kept his promise. The food was absolutely amazing, everyone complemented the food and went back for seconds. Even the elders who are very particular praised how nice the food was. Not only was the food amazing, Marcus made the effort with the party guests, spoke to everyone and helped his waiting staff. Even the kitchen staff at the venue praised Marcus and his staff on how well he worked in the kitchen and was very respectful that it was someone else’s kitchen and didn’t get in the way. If anyone has any doubts honestly put them aside and get booking. All my events going forward will be catered for by Marcus and the team at Bardez. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Marcus you are absolutely amazing and you and the team made my son’s engagement. Thank you so much

I ordered a takeaway online which was ready in 20 minutes. Decent size portions of freshly prepared dishes, a good balance of spices and properly cooked. A really enjoyable experience. My only warning if you are getting takeaway, ask for delivery. Parking and driving around the curry mile is absolute chaos.

I am very happy that I found this really great restaurant, I have tried many restaurants in the United Kingdom but there is nothing better than this restaurant at all and also the waitress Sarika was very cheerful and nice thank you this restaurant will remain the best in Manchester :))

There is absolutely no better than Bardez for Indian and indo-Chinese food. I always leave so happy after every meal - the staff is extremely sweet and Marcus (the owner) is a legend! Recently visited with friends. What a gem ! Small and intimate but there is also dining upstairs. Popodoms and dips were not the usual type you get in other restuarants. Dips looked and tasted homemade. Starters and mains were plentiful and full of flavour. The nicest curries we have had anywhere. Lovely, attentive staff and Manager checking everything was OK. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend for the quality of the food and great staff.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant and we been to a few. Ordered for pick up for about 10 people and all the food were fresh, authentic and portions were generous. All the guests were pleased although some dishes were bit too hot for some like the lamb chops. Even gave some freebies. Looked after us while we wait in the restaurant and staff were so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

While the experience was satisfactory, the lack of a children's menu and the spiciness of the food might be a concern for families. The seating arrangement felt somewhat cramped, and the portion sizes were relatively small for the price you pay.

Great Indian/indo food and warm friendly staff.

Many times I have found that restaurants with a wide offering of different foods tend to be rather mediocre at everything and exceptional at nothing. That is not the case for Bardez... the taste and quality of all the food was pretty top notch. Spice levels are on point, so if you can't handle much spice make sure you ask for it mild: the chef doesn't mess around. We had the Tandori mix grill (the kebab and prawns were the highlight of this), the Chow-mein noodles (a surprise delight... even at medium hot it was too much to handle for some of our party), taarka daal (mild), and the vegetable dum biriyani (yummy). What made the night really awesome was that the owner came over to us. He is from a place called Bardez in Goa (which is where the restaurant gets its name) and looks like Mr. Tee (I'm not even joking). He's such a nice guy and checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying the food and that the service was great. I will definitely be going back.

Super great Indian restaurant with the most mouth-watering delights. Joel was a great server too, and recommended some of the most delicious dishes. Great for students too because they give 15% off, and my boyfriend and I left with enough food in our stomachs from 2 dishes that we felt like we would explode. The photo might not be too visually aesthetic but it’s only because we dug in as soon as the food came.

I recently visited Bardez, an Indian restaurant in Manchester, and had a great experience, thanks to both the food and the service. I tried their Karai, which was full of bold, authentic flavors and perfectly spiced. It reminded me of the flavors back home, and honestly, it was even better than My Lahore, the restaurant just across the road. The Lacha paratha was the perfect match—flaky, buttery, and great for soaking up the sauce. Plus, everything is halal, which is always a big plus for me. Bahwana and Joel Nobel were fantastic, really friendly and attentive throughout the meal. While Bardez is a bit on the pricier side, they offered a 15% student discount, which was a nice bonus. Overall, the food and service made it worth it, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for authentic Indian food in Manchester.

We, the family of four, visited Bardez rusholme and we found it as a highly recommendable place for Indian cousin. We were served by a gentleman called Sandeep. He helped us to choose the food and served us in high professional manner.
