The place is wonderful. Food is great and bhawna is very nice and considerate people. It is very suitable for Chinese tastes and three people are super full.

Got great suggestions from server. gobi Manchurian was excellent. The chaat was quite different than most - a crispy bowl instead of on chips. the saag paneer was spiced differently than usual - I liked it but spouse not so much. Mango naan was very good-haven’t had that before. If you ask for spicy in the Chicken Malvani, you get it! Plan to return.

I really love going to Bardez with friends and family. The food, the people especially Markus and Zico is the best. Must visit place if you love indian food🙌🏻

It use to serve very good food 4 months ago. Now taste & quality seems gone down badly. I ordered 4 dishes yesterday for take away. Paid £53 . The meat was undercooked (even difficult to chew) in lamb biriyani. I had to throw it in bin. In chicken chettinadu, too much pepper which was coating the tongue. Lamb Jalfrazi was same with excessive spices and under cooked meat. Looks like chef is changed. Owner should look into it urgently

I am an indian an love indian food. I have visited 3 times before 4 months ago. I thoght we found great place to eat. It was great food initially. I reffered many of my friends recently. They said quality is dropping. Today I spent £53 for dishes ( Lamb biriani, Chicken curry dish, Lamb curry and fish starter). All 4 dishes were poor quality and taste. The meat in Lamb Biriani (£16) was not even cooked. I have to threw in bin. The taste and quality seems to be dropping but price seems increasing. This is what happens in most indian restaurents when skilled chef is changed who demands more money after seeing increasing business. . The owner should wake up and realise the facts before the problem

On our long drive back home we decided to stop in Manchester for an overnight stay - and thought Wilmslow is the place to be. Happened to walk by Bardez - checked the reviews - and thought lets give it a try. To be honest, the reviews could do better justice. Lamb Shank biryani - the best biryani i have had in UK - by far. Kid decided to play it safe with Butter Chicken. Topped it off with Mango Kulfi - and freshly prepared Karak Tea. Amazing experience. Staff and owners are fully engaged with guests. Happy we know what we would return to Manchester for.

I have been visiting Bardez at MCR since 2 years and I would say it is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been in the UK. The quality of food and the curries are absolutely delicious. The staff are outstanding and Marcus has the special talent to attract his customers. Foodies like me should definitely visit this place and try my all time favourite Sizzlers here. The food is on point nd the staff is very friendly and respectful however i can’t say the same abt their manager. He don’t have any sense how to talk with their staff. He is very rude with the staff in front of customers which is a turn off for me. Overall experience is nice but the manager/owner need to learn some manners.

The hottest, freshest and tastiest food I have had anywhere... 11/10..... it was a nice touch the plates were warm, and the food came out so hot and fresh, the staff were so kind and welcoming.... absolutely recommend if you enjoy some good food. A dinner by my mother is what I used to go back to every time I was ecstatic, sad, sick, celebrating or even disappointed to feel better about my life. To my surprise, bardez has somehow managed to replace my mother in this country. It’s comfort, happiness and home. Every time I go there, the staff customises my order just at the sound of my name. Markus, the owner treats each one his customers like family. The chilli garlic prawns and the combination of shezwan fried rice with manchurian chicken is absolutely heavenly. The ambiance, the environment, the food and the service, together is no less than five stars. Haven’t had better Indian food in the England than at bardez.

I recently visited Bardez, expecting a pleasant dining experience, but I was thoroughly disappointed. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, and we were promptly seated. However, the service took a turn for the worse soon after. We placed our order, which the waitress confirmed twice, yet when the food arrived, one of our dishes was missing. When we informed the waitress, she misunderstood and tried to take a new order instead. After explaining that we had already ordered the dish, she apologized, and eventually, the missing sizzler was brought to our table. Unfortunately, by the time it arrived, we had already finished the rest of our meal. We decided to eat it anyway, but after the first bite, we realized the seekh kebab was off—it smelled terrible. We called the waitress again, who immediately took the dish back to the kitchen. She returned, claiming everything was fine, but shortly after, what seemed to be the manager or owner came to our table. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he rudely insisted that the food was good. One of my friends, who is a chef, politely explained that the kebab was indeed off, but instead of listening, the manager acted out of line. He even called my friend's boss to complain that his employee was criticizing the food at their restaurant. This was not only unprofessional but also incredibly disrespectful. We left feeling embarrassed and completely unsatisfied with our experience. The food was subpar, and the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. I would not recommend Bardez to anyone looking for a decent meal or respectful service. This place clearly does not value its customers or their feedback.

I have been dining at this exquisite restaurant since it opened and the food and service is consistent every time. The chefs invite you into a culinary delight of the Goan flavours and spices. The ala carte menu is inventive and typical Goan. Having visited Indian and travelled extensively and frequented many Indian Restaurants around the world this is the best! Every dish brings different flavours that explode into gustatory delight! All the individual dishes have a unique taste. The chefs take care in the preparation of food and are passionate about the dishes they produce. The restaurant is super clean, atmosphere is welcoming and the servers are polite, efficient and none intrusive. This makes a very relaxing enjoyable meal out. Marcus one of the directors of Bardez is awesome. He knows customer service better than anyone. He is welcoming, always has a smile on his face and you can see how passionate he is about Bardez. I was surprised to see that a restaurant could have rating so much higher than dozens of restaurants around it. My expectations were already pretty high when I went in. They blew me away. Incredible food with powerful, delicious flavors. Our server Marcus was especially helpful in making the perfect bespoke experience for our family with such a wide range of ages. The food was absolutely stupendous. This is definitely on our list to come back to when we travel through again someday. Thank you to the staff for having such an incredible venue. A note to other travelers, get in before it gets too busy to allow you to connect with such talented staff.

I was really sick and came to this restaurant as one of my friend recommended and had a dal tadka with rice and lemon chutney it was a satisfying meal. My search for Good Food and Authentic food ends here. Ordered Raj kachori and Dahi puri, both dishes normally has the same chutneys and toppings like sev, and chutneys. If I would have tried these in other restaurants, both would probably taste the same Chaat. But these were totally different in taste, pure authentic and full of flavours. Quantity is also reasonable, prices are reasonable too, if you want the taste and proper Indian food. Excellent customer service, friendly and polite staff members. Definitely visiting again.Recomended 100% 😀

Great place, really friendly very good service and excellant choice and quality of food. A shorter menu than most others packed with delites. The five of us all ordered different dishes with sides and breads. All exceptional no two were similar. My prawns were just cooked , perfect, very impressed. The ground floor restaurant was full so we were offered a table upstairs. It was almost full with a good atmosphere and we were not forgotten about. Just a great experience all round.

I have visited this restaurant four times in the past two months. After trying the slow-cooked braised lamb for the first time, I was eager to return for more. The lamb was incredibly tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Although I would have preferred it a bit spicier, it was still exceptionally delicious. At first, I wasn’t very familiar with Indian cuisine and felt unsure about what to order. However, over time, I’ve become more knowledgeable and confident in my choices. I’ve even started bringing my friends along to share the experience. Just a few days ago, I took a friend who had previously expressed a dislike for Indian food. I was quite worried that the dishes wouldn’t suit her taste. To my pleasant surprise, she found the meal delightful and mentioned that she had never realized how tasty Indian cuisine could be. It seems that her earlier aversion was simply due to not knowing what to order. This restaurant has certainly changed her perception, and she is now eager to explore more Indian dishes. Overall, the consistent quality and flavors of this place have made it a favorite of mine

Biryani for take out and live music Staff helpful - good atmosphere

WOW… what a place… went with my family for the first time we were 11 of us… the place was very busy. And one of the waitress got us sorted in 5 mins… we were given very nice table near the window and they had a live music the girl was amazing…. So we started with chaats they were WOW….. we ordered more… Sizzlers were outstanding the meat was cooked to perfection… lamb chops were my favourite. My husband loved them and ordered for takeout… the place were so busy but the food was very tasty and on time…. Which is very good cause we had kids with us…. Manager Marcus came over to check on us and had a chat with us talking about Bardez in goa…. And Didsbury… his brother take care of… and they do Sunday buffet there which we will go very soon…. We go out a lot with family and this place makes us feel home… honestly the best I ever been too… the food OMG…. Thank you that i find Bardez. I will be telling all my friends & work people…. I will see you guys very soon… all the very best to all of you. Sinchana was amazing….

This restaurant deserves a lot of credit! Hats off to the Owner, Markus, for creating and running such a fantastic establishment on Wilmslow Road. “The Curry Mile” is running out of decent Curry restaurants but I’m glad that Bardez exists. It is 100% a must try. The restaurant atmoshpere was great with good music in the background. We ordered Pani Puri Shots, Seekh Kebab and Chicken Manchurian for starters. They did not disappoint! Great portion sizes for the price! They were a little bit spicy for the Mrs but, it meant there was more for me. For mains, we ordered the Lamb Dum Biryani. A good Biryani is hard to come by these days, they use lamb and not Mutton like some local competitors and it was sublime. The meat was tender and the rice was very flavourful. We also ordered Chicken Handi with tandoori roti (a chicken curry) which again tasted amazing. Only critiques were that it was a little bit spicy for the Mrs again (she can handle moderate heat) it may be worth the waitresses asking what spice we would prefer, if this is an option. Aditionally we would have loved a few more pieces of chicken in there as it tasted so good, we wanted it to last a little longer! Nonetheless we enjoyed every single bite. We spent roughly £50 and we would 1000000% would return again, and may even try their restaurant in Didsbury. The owner, Markus, was extremely friendly and personable when we got to talking with him. Truly another hidden gem on Wilmslow road.

Food was amazing! Authentic indian curries and lots of it; colleague had a biryani and not only did it look fantastic, there was so much he couldn't finish it all. Everything tasted brilliant, and reasonably priced too. Staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and revisit, even in an area with so much choice

I have visited a few restaurants/buffets of Indian cuisine but I have to say that Bardez is the leader for me so far. The service was very nice and pleasant, the equipment of the restaurant was clean and nice. And the main dish was delicious from starter to main dish we enjoyed very well. I can definitely recommend it to every lover of Indian cuisine.

If you are craving authentic Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. Among all the places I have tried Indian food this place actually made me feel like I’m in India, as their food is amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the aroma of delicious spices. The ambiance is cozy and beautiful. They have variety of food options for veg, non-veg as well as vegan too. Every Saturday evening there will be live singing. Also there is 15% offer for students and NHS people on their dinner menu. The manager (Markus) is very nice and friendly. The staffs are well trained and the service was really good. I was impressed by how they treat their customers.

We were excited about visiting this place for quite sometime only to be a little disappointed. We ordered the chicken sizzler so we could try a variety of starters, the chicken wasn't as tender as expected. It was hard to cut through and a bit rubbery. The gobi manchurain tasted good and was close to the desi chinese flavours. We might just visit again to try some more items and hope that changes our opinion.

As a fan of Indian food, I was looking for a good Indian restaurant. The impromptu plan to go to Bardez turned out to be the wisest decision my friends and I made. The quality of the food and the service were both excellent. I would rate this restaurant 10/10. Absolutely no regrets! The ambiance is perfect for a family or friends outing. They also host a fun and entertaining karaoke session on Saturdays.

What a gem this place is! It's probably on2 of the best Indian restaurant visited in England or I would say whole of Europe. Starters were amazing , papri chat was amazing, pani puri- ny daughter said that this was the best she has ever tasted. I had dum biryani and it was proper dum biryani. Service is amazing , live singing was going on and owner Marcus is great. It's a very personalised experience.

I traveled to Manchester for Eid celebrations and chose this restaurant to dine at on the night of the new moon, accompanied by two friends. Our meal included chili chicken, chili garlic naan, malai chicken, and paani puri. The food was exceptional, with portions sufficient for three people. The attentive manager and waiter frequently checked on us, elevating our dining experience. I must add, the chili chicken here is unparalleled and possibly the best I've had in the UK.
