Another brilliant visit this lunchtime with my son and 2 of my friends. Excellent food and friendly staff. Will visit again when I am next in Manchester

Went on Tuesday for all you can eat Taco's. They are beautiful. So tasty. The waitress that served us was excellent as was Tom. Both friendly, knowldegeable and welcoming. Defo be going back.

Food is excellent, if you are a fried chicken lover like myself, you would love here. We had korean chicken wings,parmesan-basil fries, 2 piece chicken meal and a hamburger but our favorites were chicken wings and chicken pieces. They are spot on. One of the best fried chicken i had in my life. Korean wings comes with lots of sauce and kimchi so if you not into so much sauce you might as well go for plain ones, since i like saucey we really enjoyed. Prices seems a little high but the portions are big so if you are not a big portion eater, you might wanna be careful with the amount of the food.

The best fried chicken I've ever had! I had the Korean chicken burger with buffalo loaded fries, we also shared a portion of caesar wings. The portions were large and tasted incredible. The staff were friendly and attentive too, we will be back!

Had the rump steak on focaccia. It was so good!! Really is delicious food here !

Absolutely bangin burgers and wings here. Look exactly as impressive as they do on Instagram. The flavours going on are insane and the buttermilk crisp batter is top. You totally get what you pay for here

Excellent burger with a good match!

Pretty cool themed space giving vibes of an american movie set meets dive bar. The service was pleasant and quick. the food was served relatively quick. Quite greasy but this is to be expected in a fried chicken joint. Only slightly over priced. Overall feel; fun one off experience, ok food but abit to greasy to bother going back. In a word; Naff

The experience was pretty disappointing. The wings came out with the wrong flavour and while the waitress replaced them, they didn’t arrive until I was nearly done with my meal. To make things worse, the fries were absolutely freezing cold—completely unacceptable. The burger was okay at best, but honestly, I wouldn’t feel good about paying full price here. The only upside was the half-price January deal, but even that didn’t make it feel worth it.

Come across this on beard meets food so thought I’d give it a try so just managed to get in before the crowds started to flood in & from the polite friendly warm service a nice clean area to sit watch it rain in Manchester I ordered a burger with fries I tasted the fries first very well flavoured so I left the burger til last but my word from the first bite a very succulent tasty compact filling meal I didn’t want to put the burger down it was just spot on plus I found the place very hip plus not pricey so very affordable plus value for money highly recommend.

Went with my family without booking a table. The gentleman was kind enough to seat us. The service was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. Drinks came out quick, and food was served very hot. Had signature chicken sandwich and burger with bacon, plus side of mac and cheese. All very good. Highly recommend, however, recommend booking in advance.

Food My husband and I both ordered burgers and fries, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The fries were overly salty, and while I had the flavored version, the sauce was far too overpowering and salty. The burger buns lacked flavor, and the burgers themselves were overwhelmed by an excessive amount of burger sauce—death by salty sauce. A little sauce would have been nice, but this was just too much. The veggie burger patty seemed to be an unbrand version —certainly not Beyond Meat or any of the popular alternatives, maybe something like Tesco’s own. The BBQ corn followed the same pattern: far too salty and drenched in sauce. By the time we left, we were both incredibly thirsty. It would be much better if they offered a DIY approach with plain fries, red salt, and sauces available on the table to add as you like, rather than drowning everything in sauce and salt. The drinks, however, were enjoyable. Service The service was decent; staff asked if we liked the food, but we weren’t sure how to respond at the time. We managed to get through about half of our meals before feeling completely dried out. While the staff had a trendy vibe, the place didn’t seem very organized. We were given conflicting information and had to repeat ourselves a few times. There didn’t seem to be a clear workflow or routine. Additionally, they added a service charge to our bill, which we weren’t expecting. Atmosphere The atmosphere was trendy, with shared tables that can feel a little awkward depending on who you’re seated with. The décor looks great, with wall art and stylish lighting, but the space is limited, and there’s only one toilet. Overall While the vibe and drinks were good, the food was overly salty and saucy, and the organization could use improvement. There’s potential, but we left feeling underwhelmed and very thirsty.

Staff were very nice, but the food was a bit bland. House larger wasn't anything too exciting either. Felt quite spenny for the taste, however the portion sizes were quite large which was a plus!

Amazing food. Great friendly service. Not happy there's a service charge though, would always prefer to leave a cash tip. Guessing it optional but doesn't say that on your bill. Would be 5 star if it had no service charge.

Came with my two friends on recommendation. Everything was great here, loved my strawberry sangria and my friends had beers. We went at around 5:45 and got a table easily but it got busy soon after. I had the Kong NQ chicken sandwich, my friends had a beef burger and the honey nduja chicken sandwich. We all enjoyed these, absolutely delicious. But the fries were hugely over-salted, we're all used to salty fries but for two of us it was too much. Too polite to mention at the time sorry, but maybe hold back a bit and put a salt shaker on the table? Im lying in bed glugging a litre of water this morning! Service: waitress was lovely and friendly. Highly recommend x

Went last Saturday after seeing a video review on fb. Had the burger with mushroom sauce it was amazing, best burger I've had in ages. Also had wings any they was great too. Went with my Mrs who's vegan, she lived the options available and said it was one of the best vegan burgers she's had

What a cracking place to eat! One of the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had! Really great food, service was really quick and friendly and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere to it and is really well decorated. Really enjoyed having a meal there, will definitely be returning. Multi story parking just round the corner!

First visit ages ago pretty much broke my sloppy vegetarianism, the V burger I had was amazing but I had to try some of my partners chicken as it looked irresistible, second visit today introducing some colleagues; and they loved it, will definitely be back next time I'm in manc.

Food was honestly 10/10 one of the best burgers in Manchester. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Manchester. Bea our server was so attentive and was so friendly. Please visit this place if you’re in the area.

Amazing, amazing, amazing food and venue. Messaged and booked ahead, very accommodating for my needs, superb staff, and really attentive. Food was sensational. I really recommend the buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Wings were to die for and were the tacos. Also, offer fizzy vimto on draught, which was a lovely added touch.

Absoloutly the BEST Tacos we have ever had, and some of the best chicken wings ever too. We came here on a night out a couple of weeks ago and the tacos were amazing…. So good that me and my partner decided to go again, we decided to spend the night in Manchester last night but missed out as the kitchen had just closed when we got there…. We went today instead and it did not disappoint either, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome too

Had the signature chicken burger and the batter was entirely unseasoned- no salt or anything. Just super bland and sad tasting. Nice rest of the toppings though and friendly staff

The best wings I have ever had in the UK! Incredible flavour! Amazing serves , perfect portion size. Grave value. I don’t live in Manchester. I live in Brighton. But I will be coming back to Manchester with friends from Brighton to show them this places. That’s how good it it! And don’t forget to try the there cocktails. Amazing! Ow and they serve Guinness on draft as well ! And they are dog friendly

American visiting family in manchester here... we could not believe how good the fried chicken was. Seriously, it's fantastic. We were willing to tear up the Declaration of Independence and unite again if it meant we could get this chicken in the States. 5 stars.

This place is amazing! I'm a visiting American, and the fried chicken was better than anything I've had back home. Honestly, I think I ascended to a higher plane. Fries were amazing, too, and the service was phenomenal.

The chicken Taco's are totally fire. The burger unfortunately was a bit meh. I tried a little bit of the meat (it was my partners) and it was quite dry. Service wise there was one server who whizzed around everywhere and put the others to shame. Last but not least.. Gotta love that Blue Ribbon lager.

Always wanted try this place since seeing beard on YouTube di the food challenge. It didn't disappoint! Staff were super friendly, even thanked the chefs personally as the food was that good. Normally with the vegi alternatives it lacks texture or flavour and boom 💥 was great. The mac and cheese is a must try Thank you!

Having visited Kong’s for the first time I can safely say it’s the best taco place available in NQ! If you’re looking for a variety of tacos as well as burgers and sides then Kong’s is the place to go! With a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of seating Kong’s provides friends and family the best food experience even with a view of their open kitchen! I’d recommend getting 5 tacos with a side or 3 and a side as they can be quite filling! Will definitely be back to try their burgers!

Absolutely wonderful experience here today. I came with 2 friends for a roast at 2pm- we were given a great table by the window and we all had the fried chicken roast. The fried chicken was perfect - divine and it worked really well with the roast. We ordered cauliflower cheese as an add on and it was perfect. My friend ordered the buffalo potatoes as an add on and he absolutey loved them. It all felt like a proper treat. We had two different ladies that served us and they were both an utter delight and couldn't have been more lovely, personable and attentive so what an asset they are to the restaurant. Highly recommend! We'll be back. Gem of a place x

Really enjoyed dinner here. The portion sizes are great and the food and service are well worth the money. The diner is conveniently located in town, close to shops, transport links and other places that may tickle your fancy.

Stumbled across Kong's NQ yesterday and decided to give it a go. The food is amazing! I had the steak sandwich and my partner had the classic beef burger. Its very rare my partner is impressed by food (picky eater) but he was at Kong's!

The signature chicken burger was really juicy and succulent. We really enjoyed our meal here. The portions were huge and there was a lively atmosphere in a brilliant location. Service was very friendly and fast too.

Funky eaterie. Engaging design. A beanie with your logo would be a smart sideline Tasty burgers. The kids portion is well-sized. The seasoning on the fries is like crack 🤤. We dropped in on a midday lunch. Not so busy but understandably so ...

I eat a lot of burgers. The steak burger from this place is the best burger I’ve ever had.

9 of us went and most had various wings and burgers while I had the crispy pork belly roast which was incredible and the parsnip puree was to die for. The staff were wonderfull and nothing was too much trouble. Definately going back.

Great chicken sandwich and Korean style fries…

Amazing fried chicken from the masters. You have not had fried chicken until you have been here. The tater tot fried chicken poutine with gravy and blue cheese sauce is a thing of beauty. The burgers are amazing and plenty of drink options. If you are lucky you can score the fried chicken roast dinner on a Sunday, just make sure you message them to reserve as they run out real quick. I will be back allot!!!!

I go to Manchester quite a bit for gigs and I always need feeding before hand. Kongs is one of my go to places. Food is great, service is quick. Decent beer and the music is always on point. Titos vodka sauce chicken sub is my go to here. Best chicken parm style sandwich I’ve had this side of the Atlantic.

We went for dinner here a couple of days ago, 8 people. The staff were simply amazing and welcoming. I asked them if I could have a salad instead of fries in my chicken platter and they went the extra mile accommodating my request. Really pleasant experience, the staff is the biggest asset this place has.

Quality grub, we had burger, steak ciabatta, and wings. The dude that served us was quality. Recommended orems and explained to me what certain things were. He was super helpful and let us in early before our booking time. Definitely be back again.

First time visiting Kong’s last night with my husband food was absolutely amazing the staff are really friendly nice warm welcome when you walk in 100/100 will definitely be visiting again soon

Been wanting to go here for a while and it didn't disappoint I had the buffalo wings which were spot on I then had a mushroom burger which was tasty but could of been a bit warmer if I'm honest. There own beer was tasty. And the family loved there meals. Only criticism would be for better chips it's not hard to make your own chips it would compliment there food nicely.

Best chicken burger around! Having indulged in the excellence of Kong's Signature Sandwich a couple of years back I've been meaning to go back for another fix for a while. It is practically faultless from the hefty crisp and tasty chicken thigh, to the sweet pickles and and fresh lettuce trimmings. Perfect amount of burger sauce, soft sweet bun, chicken skin crackling for added crunch and an addition of a hash brown (my recommended extra!). I'd say I enjoyed the burger more last time but that was because it was a new experience and more so because I doubled the chicken! I didn't on this occasion to leave room for some wings. I had the Tito Pizza ones which were nice and crisp still even with the generous covering of marinara style sauce. Plenty of pepperoni and salami bits too. Really enjoyable. The place is hugely popular and for good reason! Staff were a delight to add further to a fantastic eating experience. Previous visit (Dog Bowl): Unbelievable chicken burger. The signature sandwich was an absolute banger! Huge juicy thigh in the most deliciously seasoned crispy coating. Doubling up was a brilliant decision. Fries were bog standard but were salted well and crispy. Taken me a while to try Kongs out and I'm delighted I finally have! The staff were a real pleasure too.

Great place with fabulous tacos and AMAZING cocktails! Bloody Mary is one of the best I have ever tasted! And the tacos are to die for! We went for the 10 tacos option. Recommended!

Went here yesterday with my partner, we booked a table online but turned up abit earlier and was seated right away as it wasn't too busy. The staff were all super friendly and made you feel welcome. The restaurant itself is interesting to look at and is quite quirky. We were served quickly, and I had a tasty cocktail. The food was lovely, me and my partner both had a cheeseburger but we also had BBQ wings and we really enjoyed them. Definitely wanting to come back to try the tacos and other wings on the menu.

very normal place, absolutely nothing special but nothing to complain about, the food was ok but not my favourite, just another pub in town, nothing to avoid if they have a seat but nothing I would recommend to a tourist

Having eaten more than my fair share of wings in this life, I can comfortably say that these are some of the best. Crispy batter yet somehow airy. Juicy chicken and pin perfect buffalo sauce. As ever in Manchester, all the staff are lovely and make you feel welcome.

Fries were bog standard fries, over seasoned and salty, to the point of being inedible...and that's without the bland parmesan topping [Not the only reviever to comment on this]. Burger was uneventful, batter was bland and covered in sauce - wouldn't have known it was 'Korean' unless someone told me. Partner ordered the Blue Cheese burger and came dipped in same sauce. Bun was a dry standard Sainsbury's white roll. I dont enjoy fast food but wish we'd saved the £47 including 10% automatically added service charge and gone to an average chain like KFC or Popeyes. Watched staff sighing in the kitchen in view of customers and atmosphere was lacking, although some of the tacos on the 'Taco Tuesday' menu from the table next to us looked edible. Don't believe the influencer hype you see on Insta. Perhaps focus on perfecting the original product to be the best chicken burgers in Manchester and leave the Taco night's to the big players in the NQ.

The food was absolutely phenomenal and very filling. Great portion sizes. The staff were really helpful. Worth every penny.

Tacos and pizza fries were a bit disappointing but the chicken wings were incredible as were the staff.

Friendly staff and service, we were offered the corner sofa seat, which was cosy and comfortable. I ordered the hot honey chicken burger, the burger was a generous size, crispy burger and lots of toppings, however slightly too much honey for my liking. I wasn’t a fan of the sub, as it was too bready and rarely any filling, would definitely opt for the burgers instead. The wings were good, generous portions and decent sized wings. Warning the hot and spicy one is extremely spicy, still delicious but you got to be able to take spice to have this one! We enjoyed the pizza wings, they were crispy and the toppings worked well.

We came here and did the all you can eat taco Tuesday and absolutely loved it! As I was hungover I didn't eat half as many as Beard meets food but definitely ate my moneys worth. It was pretty dead when we went so it was nice being able to eat like absolutely monsters 😅 the tacos tasted really good! The beef ones were definitely my favourite, its very messy but very tasty indeed. 10/10 would recommend, I was going to buy a T-Shirt but had to rush out to catch out train. I'd recommend the guys update their website as it's very 2001 and maybe have an online merch store as the T-Shirts are pretty sick!

This place absolutely slaps. Went here after the dinner plans fell through in Manchester. Got a fine pork belly roast with spicy upgraded potatoes. The food was absolutely brilliant and the chefs clearly take a lot of pride in their work and most of all, they were happy which always results in incredible food imo. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again as the atmosphere, staff and food were second to none. Big thanks to Lydia for making us feel at home and providing an absolute stellar service.

My son (11yrs old) wanted to try wings for the first time so we ventured to Kongs, not being much of a wings guy, I wasn't expecting too much, the things you do for your kids. We got their at around 1pm, the place wasn't too busy and got seated really quickly by a really friendly member of staff, a few minutes later she returned to take our food and drink order. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive and was piping hot, we went for 10 buffalo wings, which my lad thought he'd demolish on his own (he managed 3!), and I have to say, they were delicious. The coating on the wings was superb and the accompanying sauces (we went for the buffalo and blue cheese) were top notch. Wings still wouldn't be my first choice for a meal out but if I ever fancied them again, this would be the place I came to. Lovely staff, friendly service and great food.

The wings are fantastic. It is absolutely the best wing I had in town to date. One star deducted is simply too much sauce which makes it a tad bit salty to my liking. And the chips is just not crispy at all. Otherwise, this is a place I definitely will visit again.

The food here was OK enough but the service and atmosphere were patchy. Everyone was polite but we were waiting ages at every stage; getting menus, ordering drinks, getting food, getting the bill. Our waitress, whilst nice, ghosted us for most of the meal and spoke so quietly that only dogs could hear her. The kitchen is open so you could hear the chef shouting for service whilst the waiting staff floated around ignoring him. Props to the waiter in the Yoda pyjamas (!) who was doing his best and noticed we had been waiting ages for the card machine. There was a group on the next table to us who were needlessly rude to Yoda pants, which added to the overall grim atmosphere. Maybe it's better in the evening as the slightly shabby/dirty interior definitely felt like it should be seen at night rather than in the midday sun. I don't normally bother posting bad reviews but this was NOT cheap and they stuck a 10% service charge on the bill that I didn't really feel I could ask to be removed.

Seven of us went in for the Taco Tuesday - all you can eat tacos in 90 minutes for £24. Starts with four of a flavour and then come in twos. I tried all but the pulled chicken, which my colleagues said were quite spicy. All the ones I ate were delicious, coming with a great selection of ingredients and flavours that were unique to each one. My personal favourite was the crispy fried chicken, but these are also the most filling so if you want to hit big numbers you may wish to limit these ones 🤣. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive to ensure that the food kept coming as we were eating. The standard menu had a great looking selection of food so would love to come back for a more "conventional" meal! Highly recommended.
