The best restaurants in North West

Excellent service ,staff very helpful and friendly. The food was outstanding. especially the special menu. Everyone else had a wonderful time , we will be back.

This used to be one of the best places to eat in walkden but tonight I ordered katsu curry and rice and it was disgusting They've changed the recipe so you no longer get potatoes and carrot's just chicken and sauce, the chicken was chewy and stringy and tasted uncooked will not be back

This is our third visit to Amaro and yet again we were not disappointed. The menu is excellent and staff are brilliant. They cater to my daughter's gluten free needs and their gluten free garlic bread is particularly tasty. We will always return here for a meal, never disappoint

We visited the Outgate Inn in Ambleside twice this week during our holiday with the kids, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. The food is fantastic—especially the homemade burgers and wood-fired pizzas, which were a hit with the whole family. We were lucky enough to try the homemade chicken and leek pie as well, and it was delicious. Highly recommended! The beer is clearly well looked after, and the atmosphere is lovely and cozy, particularly with the log burner adding to the warmth. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained, from dominoes to activity sheets, and even treats for our four-legged friends! The locals are equally welcoming, and it was nice to chat with them about life in the area. All in all, we had such a wonderful time here and can’t wait to visit again. Wishing you all the best!

I go here quite regularly with my family and decided to take my colleagues from work for our late summer party. The food, as always was fantastic, fresh, hot and ample. Vicky was a great host to us all, even though some of us are louder than others. The cocktails were flowing and everyone enjoyed the night. Thank you for your hospitality and see you for our Christmas Party

Beautiful food, very clean and piping hot food. Clean well presented table & food. Very cheap, well range of drinks and warm cosy place to eat. Great staff. Will be back!

Great location for games and fun, honestly it's a great vibe and a fun place to be. Unfortunately the food was not worth the extortionate price on it, I ordered a margarita and there was barely even cheese on it and it was dry, it gets ordered from Pedro's and i was really let down with what I got for the price. The staff were amazing and the place was on point despite this and we'll definitely return we just won't order food.

Booked a table on Sunday evening for my elderly fathers birthday , beef was good but the rest was poor, no roast potatoes visible & my partners vegetarian option was inedible, even there second attempt wasn’t great . In the plus side my dad enjoyed his Gluten free hunters chicken

Super pequeño café no muy lejos del muelle norte, precioso barmo de tocino y tetera de té, llegó rápido y con tocino de buena calidad. Todo el personal era muy amable y acogedor, me encantó la temática retro también.

A family-owned Italian restaurant with a service in the style of McDonalds. Often quicker to turn over a table than to serve the ones already there. Two chefs at peak time on a Saturday night putting one dish through the pass at any one time. Loud groups of people and cramped back to back seating. Needs some work.

Given a Groupon voucher as a gift for this meal. We got the budget Groupon service. Small table tucked away. Tonight a long story short the rump top steak cut we were only able to have with this package was so chewey and poor it had to be re cooked just to be edible The monkfish cheeks I had as a starter was tiny and smothered in a curried sauce the triple cooked chips were processed thin croquettes. And the Dirty mash did t seem to have the bacon lardons. Just some gravy and a sprig of cooked onions. All in all a poor showing for what looks like a lovely place to dine. To top it off the first bill presented was for the full meal no Groupon voucher taken into account. And the waitresses rolled her eyes when I explained their error. Chester has a lot of dining experiences and we go to a few when we can. I don’t think we will revisit this one.

Food was lovely an decent for the price

A really lovely little cafe in Grasmere. The staff were super welcoming and friendly and service was efficient. The food was delicious! Just what we needed after a chilly morning walk. Reasonably priced too and the cafe itself is cosy and clean. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

I definitely will go back again. It was very busy, so I think it would be wise to book a table.
