Absolutely loved the pre-theatre meal we had here. Such a beautiful space, great atmosphere in the dining room and the food was exquisite. The wild mushroom tagliolini was incredible - it's rare to find a mushroom and truffle pasta that's not incredibly strongly flavoured with garlic that ruins the flavours, but this was one of them! The arancini and polenta fries were a knockout, and the blood orange polenta cake was a perfect, not-too-sweet end to the meal. Would absolutely return next time we're in Liverpool!

We held our wedding reception at Buyers in September and it was perfect! Ella, Mel and the team were amazing and helped us plan every detail from welcome drinks to speeches outside and a beautiful three course meal (some of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had). We also chose some lovely wine from R&H and paired it with the food in advance of the day. On the day, everything ran smoothly and was meticulously organised, the florist was able to come in and do the arrangements, the food came out piping hot (no mean feat for 50 people) and the DJ could set up without issue. The cocktails and drinks were amazing and our guests had a brilliant time. It felt like the whole Buyers team were our pals who were part of the wedding (and put up with us even when we stayed dancing until closing). If you want a city wedding with amazing food, wine and atmosphere, go to Buyers! Thanks Ella, Mel and the team ❤️

Was looking forward to trying this place as had heard great things about about the food (had only been for a drink before). Perhaps Mothers Day was never going to be the best day to try it out but that’s when we ended up here. Everything tasted extremely salty (I had the starter vegan butter beans and roast dinner for main). Everyone on the booking agreed there were no flavours in the roast dinner that it all just tasted salty. The roasties tasted like the ones you get on a tray in M&S - not much flavour and no crispiness. The Yorkies were also burnt all over. The room was quite smokey from the open kitchen and the noise coming from the kitchen was annoying. Service was very slow but the staff were nice. Sorry. Wanted to love it. Would be up for trying it again on a regular day.

Absolutely unbelievable. I rarely write reviews, let alone good reviews. But this place is outstanding. Perfect service and nice atmosphere, not at all pretentious and extremely inviting. The food is next level. Beef shin ragu is a dream and the lasagne bites restored my faith in humanity. The polenta fries gave me hope of a better future. Nice staff, great drinks and also very well priced. Couldn't recommend this place any more. Sincerely, your reliable neighbourhood foodie.

My friend and I had a lovely meal. Staff were so welcome and friendly and helpful. Cheerful all the time. The food was to die for - lush! Honestly some of the best Italian I’ve had in a long time! We shared the caccio e Pepe butter beans starter and then I had the king prawns pasta and my friend had the beef pasta. And we both had spritz’s to drink. Perfect and will absolutely be coming back and recommending!

EDIT: tl;dr - go and eat at BC now. Came back to BC for midweek lunch. The pasta and pizza are just as amazing as their roasts. And the lasagne bites are just stupidly good and must be tried with their tomato sauce and basil oil. I’ve already booked to go back again. ORIGINAL: I rarely leave reviews for anything, but Buyers Club deserves every star I can give it for its Sunday roast. I had the porchetta and it was sublime. The salsa verde was inspired. Genuinely one of the best roasts I’ve ever had in Liverpool and I will die on that hill.

Decepcionado de este restaurante, ya que es el único italiano que he visitado que no tiene una boloñesa en el menú???. Menú muy limitado y no hay muchos entrantes para elegir. El servicio era bastante lento. Además, la pizza que pedí estaba deliciosa.

The worst aperol spritz I've ever had. The first alarm was the wine glass. Too small for an aperol so you know you're getting ripped off for £10. Tiny measures, I've to fill up the glass and water from a bottle that doesn't taste like soda. I've been to Italy many a time and I know how it should taste. This isn't it. I got asked afterwards if I wanted more 'soda'. No thanks.

I’m a local who has come here often and always thought the food was great, but the service not to the same standard. I’ve just walked out of the restaurant after being spoken to extremely rudely by the FOH host, coincidently the 2nd time in a couple week she has spoken rudely to me. I’m part of the music group, we are rehearsing at the Philharmonic and I’ve spoken very highly of the food at the Buyers club so a group of us came down to get some lunch. There is currently a deal on for 50% off for groups six or below. Six of us turned up and a few minutes later another three turned up on my recommendation and agreed to sit separately so would not affect the 50% deal. The lady would not have it and thought we were trying to swindle them somehow. As much as I try to explain what a poor business decision she was making and that we did not come together as a group of nine, she would not have it and asked us to leave. My jaw hit the floor and all 9 us stood up and walked out. The other member of staff was much more accommodating as it was genuine coincidence that the other three turned up. You would hope as a business they would take it as a compliment that someone recommended their restaurant to out of town musicians who are here all week. It was the 2nd time I have been spoken rudely to by this lady. What a shame and an awful way to treat customers.

Superb alternative place for a meeting, quick meal, family lunch, or dinner. The food menu evoque mediterran flavours are very close to authentique Italian cuisine. But it is incredibly bluned. This was for me a meeting and dinner. The pasta is fresh, but I thought the sauces were away from the real Italian food as there is far too much use of cream, very disappointed with the taste, even worse after having the supposed baked yoghurt, perhaps I did not choose the well. My friend said the same. Also, the price does compares with other good restaurants while the buyers club is more like what in Italy is called botega: wine and pasta. Rather simple and rustic. The wine choices are good, but though alao to be slightly overpriced, above all, remember to ask for salt and pepper to add a little favour. I am happy to return if invited and taste the best options. Otherwise, I leave my sincere review

If you’re after a great value, no-nonsense meal out in the middle of the week, The Buyers Club is a winner. Fresh pasta, excellent vegan options for my girlfriend, and a relaxed, cool vibe that makes it perfect for any casual outing. It’s got that perfect mix of industrial bare brick and almost Italian countryside feels, but in a unique way. And if you’re lucky enough to catch a sunny day, the inner courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy it all. You really can’t go wrong here. Venue Love the venue. It’s got a cool, industrial feel with exposed brick and a laid-back atmosphere. It reminds me of the best of both worlds – a trendy city spot that still feels cosy and authentic. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a laid-back meal or drink without feeling out of place. The courtyard is a definite highlight, especially when the weather’s on your side. It’s just a great space to enjoy good food and great company. Atmosphere The vibe here is perfect for a relaxed evening, whether you’re popping in for dinner or grabbing a drink with mates. It’s not too loud, but there’s enough buzz to make it feel lively. I love the mix of different crowds—young professionals, couples, and groups all seem to fit right in. The courtyard is perfect for sunny days, adding an extra level of charm to the whole experience. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the evening without the hustle and bustle of other bars. Service Service is on point. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and everything runs smoothly. The wait isn’t too long even when it’s busy, and they make sure you’re well taken care of. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll feel rushed or ignored; it’s relaxed and comfortable. Drinks & Food The food is fantastic. Fresh, delicious pasta that really hits the spot, and vegan options that my girlfriend actually enjoys (which is a rare win). The portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch for the price. Drinks-wise, it’s a solid selection. It’s not a cocktail bar, but the range of beers and wines is more than enough for a great meal out. The vibe here isn’t about fancy drinks; it’s about good food and a chilled environment.

“Amazing Midweek Meal – Great Food, Relaxed Vibe” – 5/5 If you’re looking for a solid spot for a meal out midweek, The Buyers Club is the place to be. The food is top-notch—fresh pasta, and the vegan options are always a hit with my girlfriend. The venue has a fantastic mix of industrial, bare brick vibes with a bit of Italian countryside charm—very unique. If you’re lucky enough to get a sunny day, the inner courtyard is the perfect spot for enjoying your food and drinks. Venue: The venue is a perfect blend of industrial style and cosy charm. Exposed brick and a relaxed atmosphere make it a great place to hang out. The courtyard is a fantastic addition, especially in the warmer months. Atmosphere: The atmosphere here is relaxed and inviting, with just the right amount of buzz. It’s a great spot for a meal or drinks, and the outdoor courtyard makes it even better when the weather is nice. It’s not overcrowded or noisy, so you can enjoy your time without feeling rushed. Service: The service is always solid—friendly and efficient without being overbearing. You’re well taken care of, and the staff make sure everything runs smoothly, even when it’s busy. Food & Drinks: The food is always fresh, with the pasta being a standout. They’ve got great vegan options, so there’s something for everyone. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, so it’s not about fancy drinks, but the selection of beers and wines hits the mark.

The fresh pasta was amazing. I was unsure what to expect but the taste was perfect. The setting was perfect and I’d definitely go back just chill and catch up with friends with a wine and one of their pizzas in the beer garden. Perfect for a date night vibe or friendly catch up. For a starter I shared the focaccia which was pretty good and enough for two people. We tried the mushroom tagliolini (personal favourite and recommendation) and cavolo nero egg yolk spaghetti (personally once the egg had been eaten the asparagus was overpowering). Can't see this place surviving, they have a sign out front saying "please wait to be seated" As I waited there whilst my partner tried to find someone , other people were turning up and then just leaving because nobody was there to greet them. Eventually after what felt like a struggle we got seated. The menu can best be described as experimental. So it seemed very uncertain what we would get. The food was Ok, I think they make their own pasta and that is supposed to be their USP. The place was basically deserted with the staff just standing around chatting to each other, and it seemed didn't really want any customers.

I find it a bit hit or miss here tbh. I’ve been 3/4 times now and tried something different each time. The nduja pasta has a really strange taste - it smells a bit odd too. The risotto was lovely but far too much of it as it’s really rich. The ragu was probably my favourite but I wouldn’t say it blew me away! The focaccia and whipped ricotta was a 10 out of 10 tho, could eat a massive plate of just that. I’d say it’s priced a bit high in comparison to other Italians in the city - the quarter for example does gorgeous pasta and it’s cheaper!

We had the lasagne bites to start, and shared the duck orchiaetta ragu and a pizza. Everything was just bang average in taste, quality and portion size. Food was under seasoned and the pizza was nothing to shout home about. Credit to the waitress for at least asking what we thought so gave her honest feedback. As a gesture of goodwill, they knocked 10% off the final bill which was nice. Was expecting more from the food, but there was no ompffff or wow factor. Absolutely abysmal attitude off the staff. Never been in before, and thought this is a new gem which somehow I've missed. We went in and stood at the bar. The bar man's attitude was so arrogant upon tell us we need to have a table it's table service only. Upon asking how to get a table, he told us to wait in a non existent queue. We sat down while waiting for the hostess to table us. She immediately came over asking what the hell done think we are doing sitting down. I replied, waiting in the queue, to which we where very arrogantly told that she was the Head of the queue. Never been treated like this in any bar in liverpool before, the staffs attitude was awful and ill never return again. Arrogance isn't strong enough to describe them. Excellent service and food - spaghetti was amazing, fresh and tasty, this isnt a cheap eats restaurant but you get what you pay for and i would rather pay for lovely quality food and drinks. The staff were amazing, friendly and informative. Nice menu choices and nice wines and beers.

Booked for lunch whilst visiting the University. Buyer’s Club was a very pleasant surprise. Off the street and down a passage and you will find a wonderful oasis. Food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive, atmosphere was wonderful. Didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend one of their pizzas - but I want to return to try everything else on the menu too.

went Thursday heard it was nice not over hungry so picked the buyers board was very disappointed bit of meat plonked on the board two tinest pieces of cheese that were rock hard could not cut it and one piece of bread cut in half all for £16 pound was really disappointed need to rethink the content of this as very much overpriced this has no reflection on the two waitresses who were lovely not there fault would not return due to the over inflated prices and small amount of food

Lovely restaurant with a great courtyard. The food and wine is fantastic, fresh pasta pizza and not just your standard classics, really unique flavours and combinations. I had the sausage pasta dish. My partner had duck pasta. Nice selection of wines.

Booked a table of 20, which was a very easy process and the waiters were very attentive, even filling up our water jugs without us asking. The food was very good- everyone enjoyed. The tiramisu was a firm favourite for everyone

A few weeks ago, my wife, sister, nephew, and I dined at this somewhat concealed gem tucked away in an alley. Contrary to expectations, the restaurant is surprisingly spacious and modern. The staff was accommodating, though the man with long hair had an unusual distracting wavy walk. Service, overall, was commendable. The menu, of a reasonable size, caters to various diets. For starters, we tried the buyer's house arancini, lasagna bites, and crushed new potatoes. The arancini was good, but the portion seemed a bit stingy with only one piece. The lasagna bites and tatties, however, were enjoyable. As for mains, my wife had the margarita pizza, which was good but possibly lacking in tomato sauce. My sister opted for the roast squash pizza, which didn't impress either of us. Personally, I chose the Cavalo nero, egg yolk, and spaghetti, finding it absolutely delicious and a standout among the other mains. Overall, I'd rate the restaurant a 3/5. The venue's spaciousness, accommodating staff, and a mix of good and average food made it a decent experience, though we found it slightly on the pricey side.

Went for my daughters 16th birthday, we all really enjoyed it. My son's pizza was missed out waitress sorted quickly and took off the bill. Also brought out a slice of cake with a candle for my daughter at no extra charge. Great service, delicious food and great atmosphere.

A little bit disappointed after being recommended here by friends. Charcuterie sharing board was very small (2 pieces of edam, 2 pieces of bread and some meat) for £16 and cutlery was dirty. Pizza was fine. Seemed like a nice atmosphere but maybe better for just drinks.

Visited this place a few times whilst in Liverpool and can honestly say it’s become one of our favourite places to have a drink. We stumbles across The Buyers Club purely by accident on our way to the Philharmonic Hall and really glad we decided to pop in for a drink before the show. Great and very professional service ever time we’ve been. Lovely atmosphere, especially the outside seating area. We’ve only ever had drinks here but the food passing our table looked amazing. Highly recommend.

Called in while my son was in The Royal hospital. Asked for the small breakfast but no mushrooms or tomatoes. The owner was very pleasant but after he served my coffee (I did ask for a latte but an ordinary coffee came) he carried on chatting with a bloke sat at a table. Then he went off to the kitchen. A few minutes later my breakfast came. It looked as though most of it had been deep fried. It came with mushrooms which I didn’t want, no baked beans. The egg made me heave, dirty brown white and a broken yolk undercooked centre floating in the white albumen. Bacon was a crisp and the sausage cut in half and deep fried. The toast came just buttered in the middle. Would never eat there again. I took pictures but can’t post them on here. Apart from the bloke sat at a table I was the only customer.

Staying over at the Docks and needing a good breakfast, Ryde was exactly what was called for. Great breakfasts, tasty coffee, good prices, friendly staff and a cool, bike themed set up. I had the Ryde breakfast comprised off 2 sausages, 2 bacon toast, beans Black puddin, hash Browns and eggs(poached to golden perfection). All for 9.50. Everything on the plate was tasty. Unfortunately I had no cash and the machine wasn't set up for a tip but I'll be back next week and will be giving double. The food and staff are well worth it!
