The best restaurants in North West

We visited this restaurant as a party of 9 for the first time this weekend for a family meal for my husband's birthday. The choice of food is extensive, and all meals were amazing. The service is what makes this place stand out, it was absolutely exceptional. the staff went above and beyond on numerous occasions to ensure we all had anything we requested. This place is a little hidden gem, definitely worth a visit and we will 100% be returning!

Great food and very reasonable prices. Didn't have to wait too long for our food. Good menu choice and outdoor seating which is very welcome on a sunny day.

Great pub with great people, bar staff were really helpful, nice guiness would reccomend to friends and family always!!

Lovely service - friendly and helpful. Really good food. Found ourselves in Bolton and tbh there aren't alot of places to choose from but this is a gem of a place. It was very busy though so book. Parking close by.

Best Caribbean food in Manchester

This restaurant gets plenty of good reviews so we must have just hit it on a bad night! On the plus side, the place is lovely. A warm cosy atmosphere perfect for a cold autumn evening. And some of the food was excellent, though some wasn't, and some was pretty poor. However what really let the place down was the service. The staff need to realise that customers are there for a nice evening out, and are spending a reasonable sum of money and they don't want to feel that the staff can't wait to get them out. At any establishment like this you would expect to be able to finish the meal off with a coffee, not to be told ( at 9.10pm), that the machine had been switched off, and that it was our fault because when asked "would you like any more drinks?", we had declined! We would have accepted a cup of Nescafe, but that wasn't available either. A few other things, like serving Gin & Lemonade instead of Tonic didn't help. We'll return, as it's a nice place, but the staff need either someone in charge or some more training, because on this occasion they let the restaurant down, unfortunately.

We should have guessed when the place was completely empty. The last time we visited the food wasn’t very good , but I always give places a second chance. This pub is also very local to us and in the past has been very good , even visiting with friends. The brioche bun was that burnt it broke into pieces when I cut it , the chips are definitely frozen and not homemade and my husband ordered mash potatoes and received chips , we did tell the server and she brought out some mash, my husband had to use the mash to put inside his steak pie to soak up the watery contents. My food was terrible if I’m honest and I pretty much left it. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be visiting again. This used to be a very good pub for its food, but now looks like it’s turning into a drinking man’s pub, such a shame.

We had wonderful event there but problem was we decided a fix menu and was told to get unlimited food with gusts but at the end we got platters and which was not enough for guest . That was so embarrassing and stressful. Please make sure when you make deal with them ask them to follow till end. We were very disappointed to go there

We visited for breakfast whilst passing through the area, the cafe was full (always a good sign!) and we were pleased to get a table. There was a good menu with lots of choice for veggies and vegans as well as plenty for meat eaters. I had avocado and chickpeas with poached eggs which was tasty and generously sized. Hubby’s breakfast ciabatta seemed to contain all sorts as expected. Coffee good too. Will visit again when next passing through.

This was our second time visiting LuBan for bottomless brunch. This time was to celebrate mine and my partner’s engagement! We absolutely love it here, service is always impeccable. Special mention to Kayleigh (I think that’s her name) the host. A beautiful warm welcome and checked we were okay throughout. All servers were quick to get us another drink and even the manager (I think) was waiting on tables and delivering drinks! Was really nice to see! The food was to die for and the drinks, AMAZING! The ‘sweet not sour’ cocktail is to die for! We finished up our food early and a big table came and sat by us, the waitress seen it was getting loud and offered us to use our remaining time by the bar, which we did. The 3 bar men were lovely, making drinks and having a laugh was just lovely to see. Kayleigh again couldn’t do enough for us and when we told her we were celebrating our engagement she treated us to a free shot. We already can’t wait to come back!
