Not been here for a while but will most definitely be back, food and service excellent simply a must when in the area and such good value for money do not miss this gem

We decided to try out chez moi today as it looked so warm and inviting from the cold street, there was plenty of people inside all enjoying themselves which created a fantastic atmosphere. We opted for mussels and a glass of wine. Our host Salvatore gave us exceptional service and the food was excellent. Already looking forward to a return visit to try more off the menu.

We love everything about this small independent restaurant. Salvatore the front of house waiter is very attentive and the service from all concerned is very good. The food is excellent and great value. We have visited with friends on a Saturday night when there was a singer on and it was great fun. Equally a Sunday lunch for two was just as good. We will definitely return.

Wow, wow, wow - what a fabulous find. Lovely cosy restaurant, fabulous friendly staff and absolutely gorgeous food. Everything was perfect and excellent value. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Brilliant restaurant thank you very much.

For us, this restaurant ticked every box. The food was great, our waiter Salvatore was excellent and extremely sociable and entertaining (worth his weight in gold), fantastic value for money (house wine very reasonably priced per bottle) and the ambience was really special, with lovely background music which Salvatore would sing along to from time to time. We spent almost 3 hours in there, eating, drinking and chatting to customers and our excellent waiter. We both had moules for starters and sea bass for the entree as part of their 2 & 3 course meal deal. We both agreed that it was the BEST value for money we’d enjoyed all year! We can’t wait to go back there again and think it’s a pity that we don’t live in Southport. We highly recommend this restaurant… absolutely everything is excellent. We’re giving this restaurant a 10/10 because we just couldn’t fault it! Well done to Salvatore and team! We hope to come back one day!

We had an overnight stay in Southport. Whilst getting a haircut a local barber mentioned this Chez Moi, along with a couple of other places. Soon afterwards, having a wander down the main street, we came past Chez Moi and on impulse booked for that same Friday evening. Soooo glad we did, the food is delicious! The restaurant is cosy but not cramped and it was full of dinners of all ages. It has a really lovely feel to it. The service was exceptional, casual, efficient, a very nice Portuguese waiter and the proprietor is a fantastically interesting character. Between us we had muscles with garlic (of course) tomato and basil (a very popular dish looking at the other tables), prawn cocktail with avocado, chicken chasseur, steak plus steamed vegetables and chips and I also managed to polish off a salted caramel dessert, ahead of the coffees. A couple of drinks each and a bill that I consider very fairly priced. I didn't bother with any photos, there are plenty on here & I we were too busy enjoying our food. It is that much nicer to use an independent establishment over the chains and I will happily visit again if and when back in the area. It isn't the biggest place in town, so probably always best to book.

Whenever me and mum come to visit Southport to see my Aunt, we always eat here! The food is stunning every time, and just so delicious, we have worked our way through many items on the menu and are never disappointed! The staff, especially Salvatori always make it such a pleasure and wonderful experience and really do look after you! See you soon ☺️

I have visited here twice in the space of a few weeks. Both times the food was excellent: tasty and good size portions, accompanied by lovely hot bread and butter. The service was good (a little slow the second time but it was very busy on that occasion, no big deal). House wines are good and excellent value. I'll be sure to return!

We ate a superb evening meal here, arrived at 630pm without a booking and got the last table. The restaurant was busy all night which is a great sign. The service was excellent and the food superb with portions very generous. Chicken with tarragon sauce really tasty, perfectly cooked fillet with blue cheese sauce also fantastic. Very reasonably priced as well, thank you. Truly worth 10 stars!

Great experience at Chez Moi sat outside in the sun. Food and wine is exceptional as is the service. Salvatore is a great chef and great host. Would highly recommend. Muscles are amazing as are the Profiteroles.

1st time dining at Chez Moi, but not the last. Had an two evening meals from the specials menu and the food was amazing. The chicken wrapped in crispy parma ham, roast potatoes, fresh veg with a brie and mushroom sauce and then sirloin steak with a diane sauce were both very good quality, good value and tasty. Salvotore greeted us and looked after us throughout the night and we couldn't have asked for more. Overall, it was a very enjoyable night, great food, great atmosphere and a great host. Well work visiting. We will be going again soon.

I hesitate to review this restaurant as I want it to be my little secret, but it needs to be said that this is the best restaurant in Southport. I only visit a few times a year when I am seeing relatives, but I look forward to coming here more than I do do seeing my family. The menu changes regularly but my favourite mussels are always there. Give it a go but leave space for me.

We have visited chez moi on several occasions when we have visited southport. We have always had such a warm welcome from Sal and all the staff and the food is always lovely, the French onion soup is beautiful and so are the mussel, the set menu is an incredible price for such lovely food. We visited the evening dinner music night for the first time at the beginning of December, we had such a fantastic evening, the singer was fun and got everyone joining in with the christmas songs and a great variety of other songs. The food was gorgeous, my confit duck leg was beautiful and my partner said the lamb shank was fantastic, we had liquor coffees which were made like they used to do them years ago over a flame, so entertaining and such a nice touch you dont see anywhere anymore, the service was professional and fun and friendly and Sal was an absolute entertainer. Fantastic evening and wish we lived closer so we could go every week. Welldone to you all and thank you for a super evening.

We was staying at a nearby hotel, and looking for a place to eat lunch...we visited chez moi by the many positive comments on TripAdvisor..and chez moi deserves every comment! A lovely small restaurant, very friendly staff, and the food was just amazing, ! and very reasonable price. We had the set menu at lunch time, The garlic mushrooms are the best! We were spending a night at a nearby hotel and booked this restaurant due to good reviews here and it did not disappoint. Our server was Vicky (I hope I have your correct name) and she was a sweetheart. Very knowledgeable and helpful with both the food and wine choices all of which were super. I came for the Moules and delicious they were as were the Tempura prawns (starter) . My husband enjoyed his pate and calves liver served with heaps of fresh vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes. The location was perfect on Lords Street and watching the world go by under the evening lights was fun. The restaurant was warm, cozy and without annoying music so that we could chat whist eating…..just wish this place was round the corner from my home as we would eat here all the time 🙂
