Excellent small plates and wine event featuring Swedish dishes prepared by guest chef Amanda and wine pairings for each dish chosen by Steve. All six courses were truly amazing, packed with an extraordinary range of ingredients, flavours and textures. Add to this the wine choices and it really was an evening to remember. Amanda and Steve provided a commentary for each of the dishes and chosen wines which added to the tremendous atmosphere generated by this special event. Congratulations and a big thank you to all concerned.

The best roast dinner In Liverpool ! Always looking for new places for a roast dinner and this is in a league of its own! Perfect for meat eaters but as a veggie I’m yet to find a better a one! Top marks for the gravy! Friendly staff and always so welcoming. Would highly recommend.

The manager refused to honour their offer, which was 20% off on a Wednesday night if you pre booked by telephone. I got to the restaurant 30 minutes early, I was taking my friend for dinner to celebrate her 60th birthday. When I arrived, I asked the waitress if I needed to telephone to book to get the 20% off and she said no; the restaurant was very quiet so she said there was no need. When I came to pay the bill, the waitress embarrassingly told me the manager would not honour the 20% off as I hadn't telephoned to book. Despite me advising the manager that I'd been told by a member of his staff that it wasn't necessary for me to phone and book as it was quiet, he rudely refused to honour the deal. He was arrogant, rude, and he spoilt my friends special birthday. I had eaten and taken many friend to the restaurant before and the food was generally good. He has lost mine and my friends custom now. Very disappointing service. And expensive for a mid week meal...£87..

Omg wow wow wow!!! We went for a nice walk up at Burbo Bank with our little dog Bella on a sunny Saturday morning and was struggling to decide what to eat for breakfast. It was about 12 when we stumbled across this amazing place. The waitress who served us was amazing (sorry I didn’t get her name because if I would have I would’ve shouted her out on here), she made instant friends with Bella (which helped when Bella got sausage off her) and was so nice. My girlfriend had the French Toast with Maple Syrup, bacon & poached egg which she said were all cooked perfectly & I had the Shakshuka which is a dish I’ve always wanted to try…..and it was unbelievable!!! We’ll 100% be back and I can’t recommend it highly enough

First time trying this place and wasn’t disappointed. Food was really good. Great flavour on all of them.i ordered some of the gastro items. The cod goujons, the veggie massamam, the potatoe skins, the onions rings and the cauliflower. My husband had the chicken roast, finished with a desert and all reasonably priced. They had already ran out of some of the dishes which only means that the food is fresh. So didn’t mind because it’s given me an excuse to come back to try the ones I didn’t get. The service is really good here. the staff are very friendly and attentive. It’s also dog friendly which is great coz we came with two dogs. Definitely recommend this for food and drinks.

Food was excellent. Menu was varied and interesting. The steak was succulent, tender and cooked to pink perfection! Team was wonderfully efficient and kind. A special mention to Joseph who really stood out to me. Also the vodka(an Absolut double) was mixed incredibly well. Great selection of wines on offer and an amazing range of desserts too!

Called in for brunch today - what a treat! Can't recommend this hidden gem enough. If your local or just visiting you really should pop in. You won't be disappointed.

Sunday Roast! I have eaten here for a Sunday Roast on at least 5 occasions and always really enjoyed! But Easter Sunday 2024 was very disappointing! Looked good but gammon salty, the roast potatoes were undercooked and tasteless and the veggies were too raw, overall a dry meal, will be giving a wide berth for a while!

Thought we'd give it a try. It was cold inside, and a few other people had their coats on. We ordered a few small plates each, and the food was very, very good. Great selection of beer as well. We will definitely go back soon.

You can not beat the £45 couple deal we have just had! 2 mains from bbq option 2 sides 2 sauces and house bottle of wine! No cheap cuts this exceeded all expectations and we are going back next thursday 💯 boss vibe and service 👌

Workplace Christmas party! Absolutely brilliant night,we had the upstairs room and bar to ourselves with lovely staff looking after us.Hot and cold buffet was gorgeous,everyone was so impressed! Great 80's band on downstairs,fun atmosphere and loads of dancing.Would recommend 100% .

This is by far the best spot in Crosby for a catch up and a drink or a meal with friends. The Spicy Margarita is second to none and there's such a warm welcome every visit.

When they say small plates, it’s very small plates and not worth it, went to chippy afterwards to fill up, the selection of ‘craft ales’ is lager and some ipa I think. Wine from supermarket. On the whole very disappointing and really overpriced for (and we paid a reduced rate) what it is.

Had a fantastic meal with my family last week, the pork belly was lovely , it just melted in my mouth, the bbq savoy cabbage was next level on the flavour spectrum, the whole family all agreed it was the best family meal out all year , great wine selection aswell, lovely service Can’t wait to return

This is a place of interest in Liverpool! Serves amazing food and drinks with a 'world tapas' menu that changes regularly. Using local, quality ingredients prepared and cooked to perfection. I fully recommend this place. Recommend calling by phone to book .

I came here last week for tea with my girlfriends , we were welcomed by a very friendly front of house team , we all went for one of the recommended special cocktails which did not disappoint , we chose from the small plate section and shared 6 dishes, the patatas bravas was next level, the best I have ever had . The king prawns, chilli and samphire also hit the spot, we had a lovely bottle of recommend Sauvignon blanc and finished off sharing a very decadent blackberry cheesecake and a delicious strawberry pavlova. Fantastic meal, great staff, great value. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Absolutely adore this restaurant! 100/10 the food is always amazing! Our favourite time to come is on a Sunday for the roast dinners are out of this world! All the deserts are fabulous but I have to say the sticky toffee pudding is unbelievable! Can’t wait for my next visit 😝

Excellent service and lovely food,the 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals.Kitchen is spotless as I went in there by mistake,went down the wrong set of steps.We had our little dog with us so it's an added bonus knowing we can go somewhere local with the dog.Will definetly be going again

Best Sunday lunch we’ve had in years! The vegetarian option was am amazing roasted aubergine. The veg was cooked to perfection and the pork succulent but not fatty. Fabulous!

Excellent food - the roast dinner was great value for money and also a really tasty well cooked plateful. The desserts were also spot on, homemade and tasty, with again a portion which did not leave you disappointed Service was great, both attentive and polite. Would definitely have another visit

We are regulars at TWS and Duke and Duke restaurant - also love Ophelias - all have great service, food and atmosphere - we are so lucky to have these near where we live - and highly recommend - we have never been dissappointed - an extra bonus they are all - owners, chefs and team TWS all genuine lovely people - love you guys xxx

Wonderful spontaneous lunch on the rooftop terrace. Too warm for the roast so went for a great variety of starters and small plates with a lovely IPA to go with it. Lamb belly, deep fried oyster, excellent patatas bravas (not normally my favourite), pork satay bonbons, chilli king prawns and roast cauliflower were all delicious and polished off before a shared cheesecake desert. Excellent and friendly service. Can’t wait to try the roast next weekend. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad The Workshop is back doing food again. My husband and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous meal, and the service was excellent too! Thoroughly recommended

TWS is back open for food / small plates and Sunday lunch. Amazing. We’ve just been for dinner with a starter and main for less than £20 pp. the food is awesome. Some of the best we’ve ever eaten. Our lovely waitress was excellent. Professional yet amiable. A perfect combination, glad to have this restaurant back after a small hiatus. It really is stunning. We’ve already booked in again.

Absolute waste of my money. Had a cocktail and a tiny tiny plate which were both very disappointing and overpriced. The owner was unwelcoming and overheard him being rude to staff which made me and my guests very uncomfortable. I will never return here until I breathe my last breath. Complete waste of money and time.

My friend and i went to workshop yesterday for dinner and instead of the roast we opted for the small plates and dessert. we really wish we hadn't, the small plate even though the burger is a great size and the bun is massive and which is a waste. the arancini balls are a joke the size of so small and to be honest i couldnt even detect what the flavor inside was. The dessert was an absolute rip off, not even a slice of cake with panacotta scopped around it. it looked and tasted like a shop bought brownie cut in 4 pieces. We will not be returning.

I had the most beautiful grilled lobster here today with holy truffle fries. I am going to bed dreaming of it….. I can’t wait to return! Even though I’m not local it’s well worth the drive. I can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended!!

Superb little place for lunch. Wonderful service, even adjusted the menu serving size for us as it was just 2 dining. Over the moon with the kind gesture of a free glass of fizz for my birthday. Steak was delicious and coffee after was hot and full! Unlike other places that serve tepid half full cups. Had the best day of our lives! Steve, Adele and the Workshop team made our Wedding Day so special. From the moment we arrived for pre-drinks then our 3 course Wedding Meal. The food and service was second to none! We partied through till the early hours with great music with evening guests enjoying even more amazing food. The Workshop will be forever in our hearts with everlasting memories. Thank you Erika & Paul x We will be in for a roast or dinner soon!

Excellent experience at The Workshop. We preordered lobster which was brought in from Southport. This was served on a bed of samphire with salted potatoes. The team clearly take pride in their craft and the cheese and pudding after was in the top tier.

Amazing food and setting. We sat on the terrace. Small area but nice. Food was exceptional, we had the game burger and fries. Small plate but plenty of fries and burger was first class and delicious! Had a side of halloumi fries and dip which were extremely tasty too. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I had ice cream. My son said the pudding was the best hed ever had. If i could give minus stars i would. These guys tried to avoid paying there staff because they had "re invested into the company" they then could not pay there staff that they had worked hard for and i for one will not return to this establishment and report them to the financial ombudsmen.

What a stunning little gem only a stones throw from Waterloo Station. I was greated by a very friendly young lady (👓 & blonde hair) that found me a table on a Friday evening in view of the evenings entertainment (very good singer with his guitar and harmonica). The venue is very laid back but with a touch of class with nice warm subtle lighting and really warm atmosphere. A place you'd happily take a date to. I noticed they're dog friendly too. They have a very good selection of beers and wines plus cocktails that were on offer from 8pm this night (£6.50) each but I was loving the Czech beer and stayed on that. The menu is basically small plates of locally sourced ingredients to make much as their meals as possible. I was feeling hungry (as always), so had the ox cheeks with a side of skin on fries. I correctly informed it would be substantial. The food was simply delicious, I can honestly say it was the nicest food that I've had out in quite some time (going back a few years) and I eat out often. From the 1st mouth full to the last (didn't want it to end) it was simply amazing. Ox cheek is something I've not had but braised in a simple gravity and few veggies with my fries soaking the juice up, I was in food heaven. I stayed for a couple of hours enjoying the beers and atmosphere generated by the entertainment and staff plus the good crowd of people also having a good evening. I urge you, if you like great food, service and just a good time to try this place and I'm confident you'll not be disappointed. Thank you.

Amazing food, dessert to die for, warm friendly staff and atmosphere was good, I'd go again to this place, I truly enjoyed the evening, menus were fantastic, to suitable for all ocations, sound lunch was amazing, mother's day menu, meat that melt in the mouth, it was amazing, I recommend this place to everyone.

We popped in for lunch one Saturday afternoon on a whim without looking at the menu, just wanting a pint and something light. After seeing the menu we realised it was tapas style and kinda pricey, but stayed anyway after having sat down as we didn’t want to be rude and leave. 🙈 The waiter was really knowledgeable about the menu and the specials (was really impressed at his memory 😅) and we ordered a few small plates between us and a couple of pints. The food was lovely, really different and not something you’re expecting to find there. We did think it was a little steep in the pricing though, paying £60 for a light lunch is a bit much. It’s somewhere I’d go maybe in the evening on an occasion rather than dropping in for a quick lunch. It’s a really lovely place too, very cosy!

The chef recommended slow braised lamb was absolutely delicious. The veggies were perfectly cooked and the Yorkshire pudding was sublime. Excellent service and our waiter was great ! The Pana cotta was a revolution. All in all a fantastic experience.

Absolutely love The Workshop - lovely setting and staff with food to die for - especially the roast dinners! As a big roast fan I’ve tried my fair share and these guys do the best one!

First time here today and it was the best steak I've tried in a long time. Everything was clearly home made, well cooked, and high quality. Steak (Hot Coal Bavette) came with an amazing chimichurri sauce. The warm home made bread was flavoured, with an amazing home made butter that was topped with crispy onions - didn't expect it, was just a nice delicious surprise. Ordered fries as a side and they also had the most amazing seasoning - can't explain what it was, but they were perfect. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. And the rum - there's so much rum to choose from. The deli sandwiches looked great too. Great venue, lots of nice little touches on the food.

Brilliant staff, really friendly and welcoming, fantastic service. Well priced drinks, clean, bar area. Only downside is the toilet opens right into the eating area, (not great if your table is right next to it) but does allow for disabled access where it is so, guess that balances the negative aspect of that.
