First time ordering here I've tried a few indian take aways in chester and just couldn't find one that hit the spot well this one will 100% be back i had the lamb tikka madras and it was absolutely spot on onion bhajis was lovely the nan bread was spot on even the poppadoms and chutney trays was spot on will definitely be back thankyou

We visited here on my birthday after reading good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. My partner had chicken tikka zaal korai with garlic rice and I had the sizzling chicken tikka with massala sauce and garlic naan. I can honestly say this was the nicest Indian meal I’ve had in a long time. Everything was so tasty and cooked to perfection, we’ll definitely be back next time we visit Chester.

First time we've been in here (although had it recommended a few times and always on the list to visit) and so glad we made it. Went with wife and the In-Laws, service was impeccable, the gents out front could not fuss over us enough and, considering it was fairly busy, everything was done with great efficiency. After poppadoms, we skipped starters and straight to the main course. I cannot peak for everyone else but I had something I am told is unique to this gaff called a "Zaal Korai". It was an absolute standout meal, hot enough the way I like my curry without compromising the taste - I don't think I have enjoyed a curry like that for a long time despite visiting many top class venues. If the only way I can get this dish is by visiting these chaps then I will be a season ticket holder very soon! Delicious. Fantastic.

I live 5 mins away from the Bombay Palace, I ordered my food at 5.51pm and it arrived at 7.50pm! Pointless paying £2.50 for delivery tbh. I won’t be using these guys again. I know it’s Saturday but waiting 2 hours for food via Just Eat is unacceptable.

The food was amazing the staff were 👏, but the men's toilets are absolutely disgusting! 1 toilet and it stinks , nothing to dry hands , the place looks like it needs a refurbishment very run down. But the food was nice , very busy for middle of the week, just them toilet!!! They nearly put me off eating my food.

I have eaten here a few times and feel it is time to give these guys some credit. The guys are good at recommendations and the food is really good, you also get plenty. The bottle of beer helps you round off the meal. As usual the food was so nice I ate it first before I took the picture.😋

Initially, never having been here before, the decor leaves a lot to be desired however what followed was one of the best Indian restaurant meals we have ever had Fabulous service, very well priced and very generous portions

The food is delicious. I tried chicken butter once. It is delicious. The employee is very nice. The most important thing is that their food is halal. The workers there are Muslim Indians. The place is very modest, but it is an excellent choice for those who want Indian food

We came to chester for a mid week break, saw reviews for Bombay Palace and thought we would try, well I was not disappointed, food and service brilliant, it was that good went again on the second night, thanks guys, loved it.

Having found this restaurant by chance, we had a 2 course meal, service was excellent, and the food was Amazing. Cost worked out at £27.50 a head. It was so worth it.

We were in Chester for husband birthday, we have dined in many restaurants throughout the country, we had a fabulous meal customer service was first class really enjoyed and would highly recommend, price was too cheap for what they do we paid extra

Advertised to serve food to 11 but can’t serve after 10 Refused food at 10:10 what a shady joint by the big guy!!

Driver couldn’t find address, so annoying. Google Maps takes you to the front door! I’ve even got a pin of my house on the Just Eat app! Why don’t delivery drivers use Google Maps, it’s not rocket science, unbelievable!🙄

Curry Brilliant as usual but Pompadom soft. Would still absolutely recommend.

From the moment you walked through the door it was clear this is NOT a well kept establishment. The carpet looked like the world and its dog had wiped their feet on it. The booth we sat at was tatty. The bar counter was disgusting, dirt rising upwards from the carpet by around 18 inches. We sat there drinking a beer the decided to look at the food hygiene rating before ordering, IT GETS A 1 STAR. So we left without ordering Phew.

Came after an afternoon drinking session and the food was delicious. Very fresh tasting kebabs to start with and an amazing garlic chilli chicken for main. I will definitely be back. The best curry I have had in a long while.

Food was great, but I got boiled rice instead of pilau

This place has been an institution in Chester for a number of years and if I'm in the area I always try to go since my Uni days 15 years ago! No matter the budget or circumstances, cheap lunch or expensive meal they have a wealth of choice to suit your wallet. Last night was a treat for my girlfriend and we had Lamb Chops Tandoori and they were soft, char grilled and fat! The mixed grill starter we shared was also delicious and succulent to the point I'm drooling in memory of it 😂. Our main courses were Lamb Rezella which is Lamb Tikka combined with a Keema in a spicy fragrant red sauce. Wow! So good and the lady chose a King Prawns special. It was light, hot, loaded with garlic, prawns were brilliant and not rubbery like some places and full of flavor. Obviously garlic naan and garlic rice were ordered up too alongside Poppadums and chutney. A right feast to celebrate and with drinks and a tip it came in around £75 for two! We couldn't finish it and would have enough for lunch today if we'd not been staying in a hotel with no fridge in the room. Easily enough food for four. What more can I say. The place is neat, clean, small and the staff are courteous and knowledgeable and friendly. Proper good. Treat yourself and always be kind the the service staff and tip well they'll remember you next time and it's always nice to get looked after by good people. Good job folks!

Best Indian food we have had in Chester and we have tried them all over the years. Every dish was spot on with a generous amount of meat too. This will be our preferred Indian takeaway from now on. Highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous! Food was top tier and cooked perfectly, the restaurant itself is cute (love the starry sky-effect ceiling!) and the staff are so lovely and attentive. Reasonably priced and the hot hand towels & chocolates with the bill were a nice touch. If you're a cheese fan, I definitely recommend the makhanwalla, and the garlic rice has so much flavour, it's perfect to add a little extra something to the milder dishes. Ordered way more food than I could handle and the staff had it bagged up for me within minutes, because there was no way I was going to waste food that tasty! I will definitely be back and I'll be bringing everyone I know.

Just literally left and both me and my partner haven’t stopped talking about the level of service and the quality of food we both received whilst walking home. Will 100% be returning.

If you are an Indian and looking to eat some authentic Indian food (especially Bombay) I would not at all recommend this place. Not worth the money or taste.

Very average Indian food. Lacks much taste and it is quite apparent that its the same sauce in all food. Only restaurant which does not have a dessert menu. The staff are very kind and friendly though. Would unfortunately never go there again!

A flavour explosion! Ordered a Lamb Madras, Pilau Rice, Garlic Naan, and some chips and the food was wonderful. I specified for my order to not hold back with the spice and they did not disappoint. After having some not so great experiences with Indian takeaways in Chester this place blew me away. I would order from here again and again and again. 6/5

not sure what's happened. I've been a Bombay palace fan for over three years but tonight's was inedible. Naga was too hot to eat. makkonwahla lacked flavour and had a much cream it was unpleasant. so disappointed. it's gone in the bin.

Best indian in chester, I ordered the chicken shashlik with a pint of cobra and it was marvelous. Jaspal was the goat

Not the most impressive curry house I've been to. The poppadoms are fine, decent size, although chutneys are expensive. I had the Dhansak which is my go to. Decent meat portion, a lack of fruitiness and could have been warmer. Minus points for the hair. Had keema naan, which was tiny. Would've expected a larger size. £26 for one.

BEST IN CHESTER Amazing place and beautiful food the young lads especially the 2 lads called naz and yas. These lads have really transformed the place, a must try for sure.

I was in Chester for holiday with my mother. And 2 Times i was here to eat some british-indian food. And i can tell: it was just amazing here! First time i ate chicken madras and the second time i have eaten chicken korma. Both Was just great - very good Taste of the sauce and the chicken was really Tender. Also aß an appetizer i have had some lamb tikka - that was great also! I have been to chester before and went to another indian restaurant. But it was not nearly aß good, as here. I hope, i will come back again to chester - then i will be definitly eating here again!

Requested for delivery to be left on doorstep and to not ring door bell. As I have two young children. That was ignored and the bell was rung!! The chef must of changed here. The tikka and wings were bright red and not the light orange in colour how it used to be and should be. Tasted completely different and not pleasant. The byriani was also not half as good as it once was here. It’s a pitty, as it used to be great here. Not anymore unfortunately, change of chef is now evident

Ordered as a takeaway on a Sat night. Food was cold, everything, including the Naan was completely tasteless. Everyone's had bang average Indian food but this was awful. You've been warned.

What a find on a rainy evening. Fantastic curry house. Great food with a solid range of curries and starters. Excellent team made sure we had everything we needed. Very amiable and friendly. We have found our new regular curry place in Chester when we visit. Highly recommended for curry lovers.

Ate at Bombay Palace tonight, great service, all servers were lovely and the food was great! Even brought our leftovers home in a doggy bag😅

Order placed at 7.20pm. Order arrived after 9.20pm. Restaurant has a good reputation (4.6 rating) so gutted to have disappointing experience. Another order placed with another establishment (due to larger party for NYE) and arrived within the hour. No offer of partial refund, despite requesting for this.

Friendly, polite staff. Attentive without being overbearing. Food was of excellent quality, well presented, hot & flavoursome. Decent selection of wine. Definitely return.

Order was delivered 15 mins ahead of time which was good however on the app it estimated 35 mins from order placed to delivery and straight away went up to 1 hour 15. Bit frustrating. Food was good quality - sauces on curry could have been hotter but other than that food was nice

45min delivery on Saturday eve as expected, food was nice but not as nice as previous order, garlic naam was pretty tasteless & rice seemed bit dry but the actual curry (shaslick & saag paneer) were delicious & really tasty

Can’t fault this place, first time trying it and we weren’t disappointed at all, me and my partner ordered some food for delivery, the food was with us within half an hour and we were a little worried that with such a quick delivery the food would be cold, it wasn’t it was absolutely delicious! Also the delivery driver was really lovely. Would highly recommend ordering from here.

Finally found a decent Indian in Chester! We visited here the other Saturday evening and the food was delicious. Service was quick and the guys who served us were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning!

Amazing food and service every time.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it a go anyway. The food was delivered slightly late however the delivery driver was absolutely lovely and apologised for the wait time and despite the wait the food was piping hot. I ordered bombay potatoes and a chicken bhuna they both were absolutely delicious, the portion size for both was absolutely insane to the point I couldn’t finish it in one sitting, highly recommend

The food was delivered really quickly which was great. The rice tasted really good, but unfortunately the poppadoms tasted stale and the curry had a funny taste also. I probably wouldn't order from here again.
