The Lakeside Inn in Sefton

Oh my Lord. I can’t say enough good about this place. I was served by a nice man called Christian and lovely lady called Chantelle - now, they were the best servers of all time. I asked for a ‘Rum Mule’ cocktail and it was served so quickly and tastes amazing. I also knocked my glass off the table and Christian dived and caught it before it hit the floor! He grazed his elbow and claimed it was of no issue. Chantelle dressed his wound and continued their shift after hygienicly washing their hands. By god, you need to attend this pub on a Friday night. I’m in love with the place. Best pub in Milton Keynes. Goodnight fellas! :)

Very small bar with fantastic views and decor asked bar staff could they put itv on TV as we had bets on horse race with out turning round to speak to me he said no it was on sky news with no sound we have itv but I'm not putting it on then gladly took £24 off me for the round I felt like walking out and he can keep his beer

Called in for a drink best thing I done to experience a lovely atmosphere and a lovely pint of draft beer. The staff are very helpful and polite. We will be definitely be going back again.

I always drop in here every time I visit Southport. It's a little bit away from the town centre by the Marine lake but well worth the walk. As you get older there's two things you want from a pub, a good selection of beers and a bit of peace and quiet. This place provides both. In the summer you can sit outside looking over the lake, it's a great view and it's a very nice place to be. Even though it's quite a small pub I've always found a comfy seat inside.

Great LITTLE pub 👍. Been here many times, some nice cask beers aswell as a range of others. Plenty of outside seating aswell as inside.

This is a little tiny pub with a good view. The table outside the deck is a little bit dirty but service is good. We had a drink and spent sometime under the sunshine.

Me and my sister both 17 came here with our family. As we were leaving we needed to go to the toilet provided indoors. We saw the sign outside saying that kids aren't allowed in after 7 however they did not specify if it was under 16 or under 18. So we walked in thinking that it meant under 16. Just as we reached the toilet this grown man who did not work there followed us into the pub and shouted at us to get out. We told him we are not children and we're looking for staff who could help us but there was noone available. He still shouted at us to get out and followed us out of the pub. So we would like to know, is it under 18 or under 16? If so please specify that on yhe sign. Or should the staff members be more aware of who are walking in and out of the pub so then customers don't have to do their job for them? as me and my sister walked out still needing the toilet. Other than that the actual staff members were lovely and we had an amazing time.

Lovely little pub, it's like going back in time. Everyone is very friendly and dogs are welcome. There is plenty of outdoor seating with lovely views of the marine lake, it's very relaxing. I've lived in Southport nearly 25 years, I can't believe it's taken me so long to visit it.

Always worth calling in when visiting Southport

It was my first visit to this delightful establishment and loved the music themed picture frames and the highlight of my visit was some extraordinary moments watching the local wildlife on the decking while enjoying a G &T.

Cosy vibe with retro decor and paraphernalia, really good price for drinks and pub snacks. Was made really spacious with the mirrors considering the size of the pub. Lots of dogs with their owners and a nice lake view in the back garden, would certainly come again :^)

Didn't eat here. Popped in on our way back from a walk. Friendly bar man. Reasonable priced drinks.

Lovely place and staff were friendlly....until I put my calf on the stool (To clarify my shoe was nowhere near the stool and my leg over hanging). In no way was it disrespectful I just have a dodgy knee and wanted to rest it. I know the staff are doing their jobs as apparently the Management are watching through the cameras... So it's a wonderful friendly place. I've had a double knee fracture in the past so I would reccomend this place to anyone...unless you need to rest your legs then you aren't welcome to do it here. However it was a glorious day in the sun and there are plenty of tables free .... for one reason or another.

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be

In a time when pubs are closing in unprecidented numbers, it is so refreshing to visit such a lovely pub, in such a beautiful location and be served fine beers and wines by happy smiling bar staff in such a cosy setting. It may be the smallest pub in Britain but it is the biggest when it comes to everything a pub should be.

Lovely small pub on the front of Southport. Very polite landlady and other staff. Sat at side of pub, nice sunny location, but lacking the view of water. Not too expensive.

A great venue with a good selection of beer and ales that was sadly tarnished by the behaviour of a minority of the staff. We had a very friendly experience that turned abruptly sour over a slight misunderstanding and an overreaction from staff, maybe this was down to inexperience but it was a threatening interaction which wasn’t appreciated by either parties. We wont be back and generally I wouldn’t recommend this venue for anyone other than singletons or couples.

Nice place for gatherings or a romantic drink or 3. Friendly bar staff, the woman with the piercings had a permanent smile. We sat out and inside, both were good. Ideal location to watch the sun go down. Good value for money too. Pets being welcomed is a bonus. Would recommend.

Nice little spot to relax and grab a drink. As small as it looks, it has plenty seating including the outside part. Staff are friendly and service was pretty fast for a busy day as it was hot.

We only called in for a drink, the only food on offer that we could see were pork pies. As the weather was really good we sat outside on a little decking area, accessed through the bar.

Didn't spend anythink passing by all of us 2 adults 1 child 10 all with autism didn't understand what it said on door about children not a nice welcome just are you 18 by women beind bar as you Cound know the child was not 18 just being sarcastic I think just put no child under 18 as the note on door didnt make sense then saying sit outside on a rainy day if you pass by make sure ur a regular

Great pub with friendly atmosphere,real ales,lagers and pork pies. The Forged MCC club meet on Thursday evenings is not to be missed,great bunch of bikers.

we love this place. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. They are very dog friendly and alway bring a bowl of water over for your fur baby. Have a walk round the lake and pop in for a well earned refreshment.

When I'm in Southport I always pay this pub a visit. The staff are lovely & the pub has a cosy & friendly vibe. You can't get meals here apart from bar snacks & pies ect, & the last time I visited there was hand made lemon drizzle cake!! Hence no star rating for food.

A small and very friendly little pub on the side of the marine lake with nice views across the water. The barmaid was superb and really welcoming, and the locals were chatty and made you feel at home. I would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon. A big thank you for a pleasant evening .

Fantastic location with plenty of outdoor space. The beer is excellent, as is the service. 100% the place to go on a sunny day or lf you want a cosy warm atmosphere as winter approaches.

We didn't have any food, so we can't rate that. This was another great find today. There was a live musician playing a variety of songs who was very entertaining 😀 and to be honest, we wouldn't have stopped for a drink had he not been there. Lovely spot right on the edge of the lake. We will definitely visit again

Iconic cute little pub on Southport Promenade referred to as 'the smallest pub in Britain'..First time visit. Nice seating area at the back when sun is out. Enjoyed a drink with wonderful service. Will be back!🤩
