The best restaurants in North West

Great meal..nice surroundings good staff and well priced. Nice staff.

We went for our Ruby wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My Linguine was just delicious as was the tiramasou. The service was very quick and friendly considering it was very busy. The restaurant just seemed particularly noisy but that was probably due to the amount of diners. We will definitely go again.

Sunday lunch was amazing. Probably best we have ever had. Great value 2 courses. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Could not fault a thing. Will be back. Thanks to all.

Three of us had a great meal. Going again next week with friends who have never been. Another excellent Preston restaurant.

I have enjoyed visiting this bar, with it’s great selection of ales, several times on visits to Chester in recent years. I was looking forward to doing so again on my visit this week, indeed I had planned to spend most of an evening there, before and after a South Indian meal at the delightful Coconut Grove across the road. I was therefore disappointed, if not disgusted, to be turned away from the Cellar Bar, early in the evening, because it was shut for an (apparently regular) private session for the landlord’s friends. Although it has bars on two levels, neither was available to we lesser mortals and I was not allowed a drink. I fully understand that it is a publican’s prerogative to decide when he opens and who he serves, but in my seventy something sober years I have never been treated in such an off hand and insulting manner by someone who has been happy enough to accept my custom and my money in the past. All was not lost! There is an entirely pleasant and comfortable pub across the road, with an interesting, if less expansive, selection of ales and a polite and helpful barman, who I was glad to visit both before and after my meal. His hostelry can be assured of my future custom when in Chester, with no need for me to darken the doors of the up itself Cellar Bar again!

Thursday evening three of us attended Haighton Manor. As usual, the food, ambiance, and service were all fantastic. But, this time a special mention to our waitress Maddie. Exceptional service, rapport snd general manner were all 10/10

What a wonderful find for us. Walked into the pub to find a roaring fire and very friendly staff. An old pub with a beautiful dining room extension also with sofas and log fire. The food was exceptional. I loved the home made steak and mushroom pie with the best pastry in a long time. Definitely worth trying.

Me and my dear wife just came back from the restaurant today and it was one of the best food we tested in UK.The atmosphere was mesmerizing.And last but not the least the staff was lovely and they were serving the food with the smile all the time. This restaurant could not be any better! It is a family run-business & the staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely amazing. Fresh, so tasty & filling. I have been many times & had the evening offer set-menu. It is such value for money & the flavours are fantastic! This restaurant is a MUST!

Stumbled upon this lovely cafe when looking for somewhere to get coffee and cake after a walk at Troutbeck. We got a very friendly welcome despite it being fairly close to closing. Amazing selection of cakes including gf and df. Definitely recommend stopping by.

A very friendly pub with a great menu selection to suit all tastes Great staff who are welcoming and friendly and the drinks fairy goes above & beyond🍷🍺 Cracking atmosphere and had a cracking time catching up with friends. Would recommend booking as it is very popular. Can't wait to go back, keep up the great work 👍🏼

didn't have food here so can't comment. brilliant staff great ambience and if weather allows it a nice courtyard. being opposite to the sapore restaurant they compliment each other.
