Amazing food and friendly service can't complain even left with a goody bag chose from the pesto menu for 3 plates each chicken wings (spicy) and another 2 delicious options would recommend to anyone

we decided to go here for our son’s 10th birthday dinner meal. It’s a lovely setting, the food is excellent and Paulo our waiter was very hospitable.

Came with a big group for my sisters birthday and the service we got was amazing! The staff were really attentive and made sure we had the best experience especially Paulo!

We came for birthday celebrations and they accommodated us perfectly as we were a large group! Made the booking over the phone and she advised a slightly different time to ensure we weren't rushed for time. Paulo was our waiter and was amazing with everything! Took out order and managed a rowdy group incredibly, definitely come back! Thank you!

We were a party of 12 celebrating two birthdays. Katie our waitress was superb. Fantastic and quick service. Especially kind and patient with our 5 year old birthday girl who wanted to keep repeating her birthday candles being lit. Food was great as always. A very nice setting and building. Excellent idea of small samples. Meatballs fantastic and bolognese too. Pizza and garlic bread very nice indeed. Overall we spent over £90. Which is a sign of the times I suppose. Drinks prices are far too expensive everywhere and here is no exception. Junior meals were decent value and good quality, unfortunately they had ran out of potatoes, which meant a reduced menu at the time. But good service, excellent food, something different, well worth a visit .

Weekday visit, no booking but big place with plenty of staff so no issues. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. Great menus, plenty of choice. Three differently priced menus of Italian small plates. Two of us had six dishes between us and I couldn't criticise any of them. Very efficient with the delivery of the food and drink but left to our own devices until we were ready to settle up. Andrea is a real asset to the restaurant. Will head here when next in the area.

Pesto @ Cabbage Hall Cotebrook A49 is a popular restaurant.. No complaints about the quality of the food.. But.. There is a "But" Having booked the early evening birthday treat we were seated on a table for two slightly lower level than this large group of overzealous individuals who had little or no control over their vocal volume controller. Hardly an ideal environment to enjoy the offerings laid before us & served by pleasant enough staff. For the record having drove past Cabbage Hall Cotebrook may may time on the way home from work in Nantwich. Went out for Sunday lunch, and found the atmosphere very calm and inviting. Staff were very friendly and food was served promptly. Food itself was amazing and a huge menu to choose from. A great experience and will go again.

I was served by the ever so lovely Charlotte and she made the whole meal so welcoming for my family and friends that hadn't been there before. Although I have no photos to show the amazing food we all had, it was all very hot and very delicious! I can't fault the place one bit, very hospitable and warm. Went here for my Uncles birthday and It was great, I had a spicy prawn dish with pasta. It's great for a nice formal meet up and especially if you like Italian food. For dessert I had the triple cake( three cakes with three different flavors each). Definitely coming again. -Harry:age 11

We frequent the Cabbage now and again and have done for a number of years ( we are not local) as its use to be one of our favourite places to eat. Our visit recently was met with ‘coldness’ from one of the female serves Ami … hence our 3 star ⭐️ rating! good points: delious food, relaxing back ground music, clean restaurant and friendly welcoming manager Nat.

Once again we really enjoyed our delicious meal after many years visiting here for a relaxing afternoon. Andrea our server was brilliant, polite and pleasant. Staff always work hard. Dropped a star as toilets are in dire need of complete renovation. Surely Pesto can afford this! Both male and female toilets need renovating!

Pesto has been my staple for many years, any occasion or a quick lunch out it has been my go to. Unfortunately the past few times I have visited I’ve found it’s massively gone downhill. Food was cold and had to request to be reheated, pasta dishes were tasteless and the sauce watery, meats were fatty and pizzas were hard. I know that at the prices this establishment offer and the speed of service that food is frozen / reheated which I’ve no issue with but when you go out to eat you expect it to be better quality and experience than you get at home, this has certainly not been the case the past few times I’ve visited. Super disappointed that I’ll now need to find somewhere new to love.

We have visited many times both alone and with friends. The food has always been delicious and the service friendly and informative. Last night was no exception. All superb, so tasty and our waitress was a delight. As usual, we ordered one dish too many, but they kindly provided a doggy bag (too good to waste)! Great atmosphere and very busy for a Wednesday night. That speaks volumes. Keep up the good work.

Excellent food and great service from friendly and welcoming staff. I do not understand some of the negative reviews, as we have been here several times and never had bad service or a bad meal.

Service is really lacking in this place and its the second time this has happened. Only one waitress bringing food out for 16 people. Obviously some were waiting a very long time, whilst others had almost finished. The waitress was very good considering she had no support from her colleagues. This is probably the slowest service ive ever experienced. On the plus side was the food. This went above expectations and really was delicious. Thank you to the chef.

Really interesting concept with the three small plates however throughly enjoyed it. As a vegetarian, I can struggle to find places that cater well (with a decent sized vegetarian menu) This place was perfect! It kept me happy with a variety of vegetarian dishes and my boyfriend happy also, who is a big fish and meat eater. We will definitely be returning again. Raw king prawns in our meal, which was very poorly handled by the team. No water arrived despite asking, and having eaten some of the food before realising, we left the restaurant concerned about food poisoning. That dish was knocked off the bill, and a rather weak apology. A friend had already warned of their own food poisoning previously, but thought we’d try again. Will not be going back.
