Great Sunday roast beef so tender very well presented great selection of vegetables huge Yorkshire puddings one of the best Sunday dinners I've had in a long time
Great menu - lots of options and variety. We had the lamb karahi and chicken garlic butter curry’s with garlic nann and rice, long with some poppadoms. The food was lovely. Good portion sizes and the staff were really friendly. We will be back!
There is nothing I can fault about our meal at Lewis's. They fitted seven of us in with 24 hours notice and were very welcoming when we arrived. The food was outstanding and well priced for the quality - we enjoyed everything enormously. Food was hot and served quickly but we were not rushed and the atmosphere was very relaxed. It was a perfect evening and we will definitely return when we are next in the Lakes - I recommend Lewis's to everyone.
Food was poor quality. Battered fish was greasy and oily. Chips burn’t. Vegetable portions.were too small. The garlic cheese bread was soggy not crispy how it should be. The vegan ice cream was horrid it was full of pure ice and colouring.
Previously been here twice before and the food portions were excellent and the food tasted nice. Unfortunately this time was poor and won’t be coming again.
Just fancied a roast lunch and as Toby was closed for refurbishment we ended up in here. A great choice. The food was excellent , hot, ample and tasty. Couldn’t fault the service either. We will return especially for the roast beef and the steak pie.
Recommended for a traditional meal .
very nice food but portion sizes were tiny - the duck main was wonderful but the chicken main was quite dry - tracie tart very nice but tiny portion and very small portion of clotted cream - the service was great and staff were lovely but would not return as although we are not huge eaters and don’t like huge piles of food - these portions were small and after the meal felt hungry still! I think candles on the tables would be a nice touch.
Called in for drinks on Saturday night, sign outside for live music but went in ordered drinks looked more like a sports bar with TV on every wall showing sports, asked the bartender about music who replied they don’t show up! No atmosphere, no service and definitely no welcome! Go to McDonalds, Boyds or the Harbour Bar much more welcoming for tourists.
Went to boot room as part of hospitality package.set 3 course menu was awful, when it did arrive it was smaller than a child’s portion. Soup starter was cold, main meal was pathetic and sweet was tiny.we had to sit at a table with another family, they were nice but it wasn’t what we expected.you have to pay for any drinks, even water. All this was £400 each,£1200!!!!! in total(match ticket was included). In my opinion this was an absolute rip off and will never ever do this again.WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
I ordered a pistachio kunefe crepe for collection order. Later realised I was mistakenly given the wrong crepe. When I called up I was asked to return to the store to pick up my correct order as there was a “mix up”. Not happy with this service
