Great Sunday roast beef so tender very well presented great selection of vegetables huge Yorkshire puddings one of the best Sunday dinners I've had in a long time

FABULOUS!! The food was fantastic and service was great. The menu has loads of choice and the ingredients are first rate. The choice of sides is the best I've seen. The atmosphere was good and food and bar prices are very reasonable. I can't believe that it's 2nd to Albert's on here because the food selection and quality beats it hands down. Will definitely be returning for the steaks and sides.

Visité hoy para almorzar. Comida absolutamente excepcional y excelente servicio. Tres de nosotros tuvimos la cena de carne asada que era delicioso y el tempura de brócoli y el queso de coliflor eran excelentes lados. Postres - Pudín de toffee pegajoso y brownie de chocolate eran ambos tan sabrosos, tenía que probarlos a pesar de que estábamos llenos después del asado! Ninguno de nosotros podía fallar nada y el personal trabajó muy bien bajo presión en un restaurante muy ocupado, un crédito para el lugar. Comida y servicio de gran calidad a precios muy razonables. ¡Volveremos!

Este es mi lugar para almorzar. Es fácil reservar en línea, el servicio es bueno y el especial del viernes es maravilloso. El filete es delicioso y las patatas fritas son perfectas. Excelente relación calidad-precio.

Vinimos a cenar el jueves por la noche con amigos. Tuvimos una noche maravillosa, el servicio fue increíble, el personal atento muy amable. La comida estaba súper sabrosa, teníamos los pasteles de pescado y los muslos de pollo miel para empezar y luego tuvimos los filetes de 6 oz en las rocas calientes, que era perfecto ya que los cocinaste durante el tiempo que querías, y 2 tenían el guiso de cordero. Sin duda recomendaría y volveremos de nuevo. X

Booked for a family birthday, as always it didn’t disappoint, we chose the hot rock 6oz steaks, chunky chips and peppercorn sauce. Love cooking my steak my way, everyone enjoyed the food and the puddings were amazing. You already had fans in my daughter and I but you definitely have two more repeat customers in my mum and dad. Lovely atmosphere, staff were welcoming and friendly, couldn’t ask for more.

My friends took me for my birthday this week for the first time and everything including the service was second to none. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing. Had the famous hot rock steak which was delicious.

We visited Summat to Ate last night as a church house group Christmas party of 11. We'd actually been a previous Christmas when there had been a few issues but we decided to return because of the fair pricing on the menu. We were very impressed by the quality and portion sizes, the service was good and the restaurant have now developed a pre order system for groups which worked well. Every guest was given a slip of paper confirming their pre choices and the cost. This made things much easier and we were all able to settle the bill without the usual complications. One of our group is gluten free and she was catered for too. We thought it was a good meal which was value for money, without the usual loss of quality you almost expect to get at very busy venues so close to Christmas.

Friendly, Great food , reasonable prices on the lunch time offer. Been here with a group of girls and in couples . This place is deffo worth a visit or two 🥳

I booked here for my Christmas works do, there was 11 of us and the service was amazing. We was never without a drink and the food was very organised, everyone really enjoyed all their meals and there was not one single complaint. Last minute change of circumstances gave us the opportunity to eat at my favourite steak place. It’s fair to say that we had a fantastic meal from start to finish - which is nothing less than I would expect from coming here. We were lucky to get a table last minute (as it was exam results day) but we managed to get a table for 7.30pm. Usual warm welcome from Lucy and the team and the service throughout the night was as good as ever. Special ‘shout out’ to Lewis who really looked after us. In terms of food then this was as good as ever! We had the Manchego cheese and Serrano ham croquettes - they have become a firm favourite now. For mains, my wife had the braised beef shin (another favourite of hers). For me it has to be the 12oz rump on the hot rock (which predictably I always have despite my always thinking I will have a change!) I would also recommend the black sticks blue cheese sauce as an accompaniment. Again, despite saying we wouldn’t have a pudding - we had the sticky toffee pudding - another favourite. Overall, highly recommended!!!

Been here a few times and we’ve never been disappointed the Steak was spot on as usual and for 12.50 you can’t complain at all. Highly recommend

Booked a party of 25, thought there would have been a hitch being a big party but everything was good, servers where nice expecially 1 young lad sorry didn't get his name made sure we had everything and that nothing was missing from pre ordering, he split all the bills down for us as we needed separate bills. We all went for the Sunday menu, food was lovely 25 empty plates, portions where good sizes, sticky toffee pudding was huge highly recommended will be going back very soon

A wonderful meal with my husband. The food was delicious and the staff were great. I have food allergies which I disclosed on booking. The staff checked with us which allergies I had then told me to choose my meal and they would come back to tell me how they would adapt my meal to suit my allergies. I felt really confident ordering knowing they had understood my issues.

With recently diagnosed allergies, it can be overwhelming eating out. Tonight, for my birthday, we decided to give Summat to Ate a try. Sarah was looking after us and she made us feel at ease. Her knowledge of allergens was amazing and she willingly checked other items on the menu, as well as suggesting alternatives to make sure I had an enjoyable meal. We were very impressed with the service and care taken. Thank you Sarah!

This place was an excellent find by my partner. The food was absolutely delicious, the service is impeccable, didn’t have to wait long to take our drinks or food order. We will definitely be going back. Three course for £24 it’s a steel.

We had our sons christening here last weekend. We had it in the larger room and it was beautiful without any decorations. The staff was so helpful throughout out. From the booking to set up and on the day! We have been to summat to ate several times over the years and the food is exceptional. We had pies pasties and peas for the party and it was lovely! We had soft play for our sons christening and it was perfect on the large dance floor they have. Over all I would definitely recommend summat to ate function room!

Love this place, never had a bad meal. Was treated to a fillet and it just melted in my mouth. Service was fantastic and the hot rock means my steak was cooked just how I like it.

IV been here several times but never tried a steak on a hot plate as I'm not really a meat eater. OMG 😯 so delicious 😋 don't now what IV been missing. First time going to this restaurant. We went with a friend who has been before and recommended it. The restaurant was nice inside and the service was very good. We had food from the lunch menu we had Tempura king prawns, sriracha mayonnaise, Wild & button mushrooms, garlic, truffle cream, tarragon herb crumb and we all had the Marinated chicken skewers, asian slaw, naan bread, hand cut chips, all the food was good and the portions were a good size and a lot to eat.

Myself and my husband went, who hadn't been before, he was highly impressed and said he'd definitely go again. The food was 1st class the service was definitely 1st class. They don't keep pestering you asking if you need anything or is everything OK. The food is outstanding and isn't over priced.

15 of us visited for a family celebration and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. As a large party we had to pre order, and as a result the whole experience was exceptional. The service we received from start to finish was first class, for each course the meals came out piping hot and everyone was served within a couple of minutes. The food itself (as always here) was excellent, really tasty and substantial portions. The Sunday roast here is one of the best restaurant roasts I’ve ever had. Finally, the value here is again top drawer. The Sunday offer of 3 courses for £24 for the quality of what they produce is a brilliant offer. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Amazingly quick service. Delicious food. Lovely venue. This was my second visit after a family member introduced me to the place I knew I had to bring the hubby who loves a steak, but it is never cooked to his liking. Not sure he would appreciate the experience I was apprehensive, his response after the meal was that he will require a bigger steak next time. We had arrived at our venue for a baby shower and the original venue had double booked us! I contacted summet to ate seeing if they had a function room available at such short notice and they did! They opened and cleaned all the function room so we could use it, opened the bar for us even though they had a larger function on up stairs! Amazing staff, amazing venue and couldn’t have appreciated them helping out any more!!
