Miller and Carter Steakhouse in Wigan

Lovely chilled time. Our server,Rachel, was brilliant. Really fun but also left us alone without feeling rushed or pressured. Steak was amazing. Not our first time here, but Rachel made our experience probably the best one we’ve had here.

Absolutely one of my favourite places, brought my partner for the first time. Safe to say, we will be returning!! Stunning food and amazing service from a young lad. Beautiful!!

Came in for a drink on 2/6/25 at around 8.30 pm. Came to order a second drink at 9.30 but bar had been closed. Website states open until 11pm. Wouldn’t have been an issue had they mentioned bar was closing.

The food and atmosphere are lovely, but I’d like to especially mention our server Lois who was welcoming and kind yet professional, and even organised a surprise birthday desert for me!

Lois our waitress was very very helpful and very pleasant during our visit to Lowton. She is a credit to the team there. Fantastic meal when Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary today. 👍👍👍👍👍

Our waiter (Sam) was very polite, helpful and pleasant. Food was delicious, only thing was the onion loaf wasn’t crispy. Everything else was lovely. Extra little birthday treat was a nice touch.

Had a nice meal as always wether we visit for lunch or dinner it’s always amazing so thank you to your amazing chefs please pass our comments to all the chefs & the people who hide in the back the kitchen porters. Have a lovely lunch today, Rachael our waitress. She was very friendly and just amazing service overall. We had the chateaubriand, which was cooked to perfection. Would recommend as a great for lunch and more!

Jess our waitress was absolutely brilliant. She went the extra mile without being too fussy. She is perfect. Food was lovely although I think the Chipotle chicken is different to how it used to be and was not as nice. Pudding was amazing. Reasonable price for what we got. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Sam was our waiter for the evening at Lowton and was absolutely fantastic! He couldn’t do more for us. His knowledge about the food and wine was impressive. He really made the evening better. Food was absolutely spot on and couldn’t ask for more! Thank you!

It was our Ruby Wedding and we celebrated with our family at Miller and Carter Lowton. The food was excellent and our waitress Lauren B was polite, pleasant and efficient. One of our party had allergies and she helped her with this without any fuss.

Out to lunch with family and friends (just the girls) Caleb was our server and he did a great job as we were a big group some of which are a bit cheeky 😉 Food was delicious. We all love that we had our own individual bill at the end of the meal as some of us had the fixed menu others had add-ons. It also meant that the youngest of the group didn't have to work out what everyone owed 😁

Visitado el 10 de mayo 25 y tuvo otra maravillosa experiencia gastronómica. La comida era increíble! Mi esposo tenía el filete de solomillo de 30 días de edad, cocinado a la perfección y absolutamente delicioso. Tenía el lomo de bacalao abrasado en sartén por el que iba a morir. Los entrantes eran igual de increíbles, tiras de pollo pegajosas y escollops con vientre de cerdo, omg, esto fue excepcional! No podemos culpar a este restaurante, desde los increíbles chefs hasta el frente de la casa y el personal y la administración, todos muy amables, profesionales y siempre a mano para garantizar que los clientes tengan la mejor experiencia. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda volveremos una y otra vez.

Food nice but expensive glass of coke £3.30 exorbitant Staff friendly and polite

Salí a celebrar un cumpleaños, llevaba un par de semanas mirando la pizarra dominical de accionistas así que estaba muy emocionada. Lamentablemente, ambos estábamos muy decepcionados. El pollo era bastante promedio, las papas “crujientes” eran solo papas hervidas aceitosas. La verdura no era nada especial, pero la verdadera decepción era el cordero. No se servía rosa como se pedía, estaba seco y masticable y tenía un extraño sabor amargo. Nuestro servidor Sam era muy disculpado y fue más allá para salvar la experiencia. El personal siempre es encantador y no puedo culpar a su servicio, pero esta no es la primera vez que hemos tenido problemas con la calidad de la comida. Las 3 veces que hemos cenado en Lowton M&C este año han sido menos que satisfactorias. Es una pena, ya que nos encanta M&C y, en particular, los consejos de accionistas, pero la calidad ha sido muy deficiente recientemente.

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful food, lovely place. We waited slightly longer for a drink refresh which is why Ive given 4 out of 5 but it was a minor point really. Will definitely book again.

Otra visita increíble a nuestro M&C local. . unas copas alrededor del bar antes de nuestra comida, ambiente ocupado pero encantador. Rachel nuestra señora de la mesa, encantadora cocinera recomendada en nuestro filete. Había servido Domingo servido bloque, bloque absolutamente increíble, tanta comida para dos apetitos muy saludables 😋 , cocinado absolutamente increíble también. Todo el personal increíble, Harry y Callie cuidando de nosotros. No puedo recomendar este M&C lo suficiente . . . todos mantienen el buen trabajo!

El servicio (Joe H) fue genial. Atento y ordenado las cosas cuando teníamos una consulta. Teníamos el plato de compartir - cordero se anunciaba como que se servía rosa. No era rosa en ninguna descripción. Joe pidió más para nosotros, era bastante raro, pero la grasa no se rindió en absoluto. El filete y el pollo estaban deliciosos. Así que en general el servidor excelente, chef necesita aprender a cocinar cordero

We celebrated our son’s 21st birthday yesterday evening. There were 14 of us including 2 young children. Every one of us had a great time. From the fun, charming bartender greeting us at his hydration station to our wonderful waitress Bec who looked after our every need, she even surprised our son with an amuse-bouche of sweets and a candle to sing happy birthday (even though we had declined the sweet menu). The food was delicious, we had 2 vegetarians with us who rated the Plant based burger a 10. The 2 year old demolished the meatball pasta and the birthday boy loved his 20 oz T-bone treat.

Flipping AMAZING steak and Sam was a brilliant waiter. Great kids menu too. Prices great for the quality of the food and the service. No complaints at all, although the music could have been a tiny bit lower.
