Outstanding service and food. The restaurant is a fantastic example of how an establishment can provide work opportunities for young people whilst maintaining excellent standards across the board. Credit to the team.
A lovely Sunday lunch for Mothers day.
We've eaten here a few times before, the Sunday sharing platter is excellent, and our waiter Harry went out of his way to look after my 98 year old pescatarian mother. She thoroughly enjoyed the Sea Bass!
I’m a local postie called Rob and ladies do an Absolutely superb leek and potato soup with local bread and banana cake. Really friendly staff. Lauren swaps cakes with me too! Go here for top grub and warm smiles. Great value supporting local businesses & community 😊🫶
The best Indian meal we’ve ever had. The restaurant was super clean and it felt like a really comfortable setting. The staff were all fabulous too. We will definitely be going back very soon.
One of the worst restaurants I ever been
1 food salty
2 owner is a real tool bad manner
3 customer service poor
4 waiting time poor
Owner seriously think his food is the best in the country and has no people skills. Yet we left most of the food n the plate !!
Never again.
Dispite receiving a reminder text from the restaurant the day before we arrived to find the restaurant permanently closed. Didn't have the decency to advise us of the closure.
If they can send out reminder texts they could have advised us of the closure and avoided a lengthy journey.
Visited with friends and didn’t know what to expect as none of us had been before. Needn’t have worried as venue was perfect and staff very attentive.
The vegetarian menu was interesting and well executed by the chef, to make the humble carrot, cabbage etc very tasty. Even us carnivores were well impressed! We will be back 😋😋
We came here last year when we were staying nearby and it was amazing then and again this March. The staff were fantastic, food awesome. One of the best Indian meals we have had. Thanks again.
Beautiful peaceful location. Lovely fresh food. Its so good they don't need to signpost where they are!
Had a lovely breakfast/brunch there, vegetarian and full carnivore versions. Tasted really fresh. Friendly staff, the full deal, try it.
Another wonderful unrushed afternoon with family. The menu has enough choice for all, they were kind enough to wash our raspberries bout for our one year old baby and put them in a bowl for us. Highly recommend Home@buckshaw 😇
As soon as we walked into this pub, we knew it was going to be good. A small, community run pub with 2 roaring log burners and a warm welcome! I ordered one of the cocktails, the berry one and it was delicious and my partner ordered the alpaca lypse and they let him keep the glass it came in. We then ordered our mains and both had the pie; it didn't disappoint. There was so much meat and the gravy was lovely. Pudding was also amazing; two big portions of syrup sponge and chocolate fudge cake.
When we are back in the lakes, we will definitely be back!
Such a beautiful pub
We arrived approx 1 hour early and they were happy to seat us.
We came in our camper, and for just £10 we could stay the night with electric hook up (free stay without hook up).
Every detail here is stunning, from the menus even down to the salt and pepper pots! The toilets are very nicely decorated and very clean which is always a bonus.
Will 1000% come again and recommend to everyone we know who love coming to the Lakes!
Stumbled across this place while here working for the day. Super food and the loveliest, friendliest staff I’ve met in a long time. Well worth a visit.
