Wonderfully clean restaurant with amazing friendly staff and the food fresh tasty and hot 5* the manager went above and beyond to serve us and cater to our every need highly recommend a visit

I am a child of the 60s so have happy memories of Wimpy, was never really into the other two chains. So being surprised to notice this outlet in the otherwise grim Birkenhead shopping arcade I just had to go in. I was met with a really friendly guy and a really pleasant young lady. The food was exactly to my memory and I really enjoyed it. Very nostalgic. But the friendly staff delivered excellent and memorable customer service and made me really glad that I was there. Birkenhead is undergoing a lot of change right now and this outlet gives me real hope for the future

Absolutely amazing!!!! Food was cooked fresh so it was delicious and the staff were so lovely. Not many places left with that level of customer service, so friendly :) Will definitely be back

Hearing about the Wimpy in Birkenhead, I had to go with some friends as I had fond memories of the one in Liverpool. We had a great time. Burger and fries were first rate and staff were super friendly to chat with. Looking forward to going again.

Just went because my grandad wanted the nostalgia. I got the quarter pounder cheese and bacon….OMG…the quality was amazing, the bacon, cooked to PERFECTION!!! And the chips!!! Perfectly salted. Just 2 things though, my Pepsi was a bit flat (idk if that was because of the ice or not?) and it was £30 for 2 adults and 1 child without deserts. Other than that it was impeccable!!

Me and My partner came here for linner (lunch/dinner) I hadn't been inside a wimpy in about 16 years and I can honestly say it was absolutely astonishingly good.food amazing customer service, 10000% will be returning you've made a regular customer out of me :)

Happened to be in town this afternoon and decided to stop off here for some lunch, as well as a highly welcome dose of nostalgia given that my last visit to Wimpy was over 30 years ago! I’m happy to say that it is still as welcoming as I remember and the meal was a hearty delight. Finally, a special mention to the owner who was very attentive to customers and had time for a nice chat, too.

Whenever I'm in the area visiting friends we always make what we call the "pilgrimage" over the water to visit Wimpy's. The food is always fantastic and the service is always top notch. The owner always has a smile on his face and is quick to fix any issues that may arise with the food on the rare occasions that does happen. Highly recommend if you want some solid food.

Myself and several friends complete a pilgrimage here every 3/4 months (usually when a friend from out of town comes), and we're never disappointed. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful and the place is clean. Nostalgia helps, but it's always a treat. I hope more people keep this place going, the food is made in the same way as it was in the 90s. I can't recommend it enough. See you in a month or two o/

We visited Birkenhead wimpy for breakfast during a Saturday morning shopping trip. The food was all very nice and reasonably priced but a special mention has to go to the atmosphere thanks to the staff. The young lady waiting on was exceptionally polite and helpful, as was the chap behind the counter. The background music was pleasant, the restaurant itself was very clean and tidy and the customers coming and going were very friendly, even stopping to say good morning to us. I assume they were regulars thanks to the welcoming atmosphere offered here. I will definitely be going back next time I’m in the area.

I hadn’t had a Wimpy for over 25 years and fancied a trip down memory lane and I wasn’t disappointed. Our nearest one in Southport but has long been shut down. On arrival we were met with a lovely welcome and we were sat down at our table. I had a double original quarter pounder burger and it was delicious. The staff were so friendly, genuinely some of the nicest people. It really made our visit, we will be back.

Haven't seen a wimpys in years, I travelled 5 hours just to try one of the Remaining ones, and they didn't disappoint, cheeseburger was juicy an the chips were just right, the only thing that was better than the food was the customer service in which I received they were polite, interactive, well Presented and despite the time it took to arrive it was 100% worth it 👌

Really friendly staff and great service. The food is nicely cooked and a really good price. The atmosphere nice and relaxed, with good music playlist. It was another customer’s birthday and the staff went the extra mile to make them feel special. Such a nice place to eat.

Travelled an hour to get here as I couldn’t believe Wimpy was still a thing, I genuinely thought it had closed forever. It was so worth the trip, the food tasted exactly as I remembered! Called in at the Wimpy one lunchtime this week and it was like stepping back in time to a retro (and better) fast food experience. I’m old enough to remember going to Wimpy Birkenhead as a child in the age of red and white plastic tables, and although it’s still in the exact same location, it now looks modern and more welcoming. The food was great - cheeseburger perfectly cooked, on a fresh white bun with lettuce and diced onion and thick, crisp fries; and a tender & delicious chicken wrap - and the table service, cutlery and china plates were a refreshing improvement on the usual burger experience. The owner was friendly and keen to ensure our order was exactly as we wanted it, and that we had every sauce & condiment we asked for. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and will be back to try the Christmas burger. Highly recommended.

Food was greasy and burger was under cooked when I complained the owner was rude and abrup, I also overheard him talking to staff in a abrupt and demeaning way. I would nit be eating here again.

Was in Liverpool and realised there was a Wimpy across the water, so decided to head over for a treat since there is only 3 Wimpys in Scotland. There was only one guy working, but he was very friendly and treated me like one of his regular customers! The food was brilliant too, definitely worth paying that wee bit extra for great quality food and excellent customer service!

A definite blast from the past. It’s great to still see childhood haunts that have stood the test of time. Staff were friendly and very helpful, food was good and surfed the old Wimpy way, on a china plate with a knife and fork. Tea was in a proper cup. It’s definitely worth a visit, not only to talk to the staff but reminisce on the good old days. We will definitely pop in next time we’re in the area.
