Treat night out with friends, thanks to Ben and the guys working as hard as ever throughout the evening. It's worth booking a table for Fridays and Saturdays if you want to take advantage of the great tapas menu, although it is not necessary if just popping in for a drink. Always a great night out.

Had a meal recently and I can tell everybody now ! it was so bad 👎 😫 I could hardly eat it ordered lamb Meatballs what I got was rock 🪨 hard tinned ones 😅 on top of spaghetti which was not on the menu 😅 no olive oil with the bread chicken wings in the so called paella!! the waiter was lovely but really they shouldn't trade as what they are advertising on the menu and what you get are 2 different things I'm 🤔 of reporting them to trading standards office it's wrong what they are doing !! and that place is definitely not Spanish tapas !!

We visit here quite frequently and each time it’s absolutely fantastic. The food is phenomenal; we had the Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chilli Fries, Halloumi Fingers, Chicken & Bacon Dauphinoise, Chicken & Chorizo Paella, but the stand out dish was the Broccoli & Stilton Croquettes, all absolutely delicious. The service from all staff is exceptional and create a seamless and brilliant experience; we will no doubt be going again soon.

Had a beautiful meal, chose a few dishes and some extras and had amazing cocktails . The small dishes are really not that small and we well over ordered . Can’t fault anything, beautiful atmosphere, staff were amazing. Highly recommend

We went for 'Tipsy Tapas' for my friend's 50th and I wasn't looking forward to going. I thought it would be full of screechy people pie eyed on cheap Prosecco. I thought the menu would be limited and poor quality as it catered for groups. I was completely wrong, what a lovely time we had! Firstly, the cheap Prosecco, instead of being that sweet, tinny tasting stuff you get, slightly warm at weddings, it was crisp, dry, biscuity and decently cold. Cocktails were also not overly sweet. There was a specific Tipsy Tapas menu, but there was plenty to choose from and the food was beautifully presented and excellent quality. Dry cured pork and salt cod croquetas were particularly good. Our waitress, Milly, was so kind and accommodating, even arranging for us to make one last drinks order just before our allotted time ran out and sorting out a table downstairs in the bar area for us to finish. I thought it would have been 'Right! Time's up, give us your table back and leave'. I got it completely wrong, I would definitely go back (although it's possible that we became the screechy people and we are now barred from Marks and Spencer 😂)

Visited for Sunday lunch whilst staying in Chester for a half term break and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the manager went above and beyond after I queried a dish on the menu due to an allergy. Portion sizes are good, the food hot and tasty and the atmosphere even on a Sunday lunchtime good. There was a real mix of ages and people celebrating lots of different things as well as each other. A place we will definitely be returning to on our next visit to Chester and a place we can definitely recommend.

A bar I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Chester I take is The Cellar ,been here many times over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit to here. A great looking bar, housed in an eye catching building, interior is superb, set over two floors, exposed brickwork, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, vintage beer enamels adorning the walls and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, its just a really good bar to unwind in. We were here on a bitterly cold and rainy February afternoon, bar was busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered pale ale's from Ossett Brewery, these were served in pristine condition, we chilled out, warmed up and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar while we sipped our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, golden pale ale, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish,it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our pale ales in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Cellar we had a great time. The Cellar is easy to locate along City Road. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 3pm till 12.30am. Friday & Saturday, midday till 2am. Sunday, midday till midnight. A wonderful beer destination, a bar I highly recommend you seek out if you're in the area or planning a trip to Chester.

As far as Spanish cuisine, this place is an absolute must visit. I lived in the canaries for several years, and this is by far the only UK based tapas I've eaten that tastes/feels/is authentic. Choose this over El Gato Negro, over Lunya and other popular tapas spots. This place has a traditional interior, friendly attentive staff that are actually happy to be there and great food that is always consistently good. And makes a fab lunch the next day (provided by the inevitable doggy bag) It's my special occasion restaurant, and I've attended for my birthday for probably 12 out of the last 15 years, plus countless other celebrations. It holds many great memories within its walls for just me and my friends and family. I can only image how many other precious stories are held within

We were at this restaurant tonight with my Family who live nearby in clitheroe. We went as the reviews were so good. Anyway I will say the food taste great just needs some presentation refinement. Service though was atrocious we waited 45 mins for starter and then 1 hour for the main course. We’re not asked about further drinks/water. We then ask for dessert menu after waiting 25 mins for menu we just let it and got the bill. We paid £135 but would have paid a lot more if service had been better. We told the server on paying the bill and she give her apologies. It was a Saturday night but there were plenty of servers who didn’t seem interested in looking after us. NOT a good experience!
