The Wellsprings Inn Pendle Hill in Ribble Valley

Great staff - really welcoming; warm atmosphere; beautiful views on a sunny evening. The food was good: calamari and nachos to start, followed by the Mexican burger and beef strips. The food had flavour and the beef was tender.

The best paella I've ever had in my life the whole experience was 11/10 the staff the food the venue absolutely perfect thanks guys loved it

Such a heartwarming experience, we were greeted by the lovely staff and taken to our table. The scenery is spectacular, offering truly authentic food which was delicious from start to finish! I had the prawns to start and my husband had nachos, both dishes so full of flavour and cooked to perfection. For my main I had the beef fajitas and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his paella. Definitely recommend!

We have been dining at Wellsprings for years. The staff are brilliant, the decor is a feast for the eyes and the food usually never Disappoints. This visit was a let down! We got the calamari as one of the starters (£10) which would have been fine if it was the usual full plate of fresh fried salt and pepper calamari. Instead we got 4 frozen rings which were really hard and had no salt and pepper seasoning. The staff were amazing about it and knocked it off the Bill but disappointed to see them cheaping out on food. Menu needs updating with new dishes as we have exhausted the menu now and don’t feel inclined to return after the poor starter :(

We stumbed accross Wellspring whilst looking on Google Maps for somewhere to eat and were so glad we found it! Nestled amongst some breathtaking views, this place was beautiful and welcoming! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food delicious! Amazing atmosphere - a must try!

The lodge was lovely, clean and cosy. We had a great welcome, with lots of little extras, that made our stay even better than expected. Would recommend a stay at the lodges., look forward to staying again. The food was delicious as usual. The hospitality is friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

I never usually leave reviews but was so impressed with the Wellsprings! Food was absolutely delicious and it is in such a gorgeous setting! We went for my dad's birthday and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. One waitress in particular was amazing with our little girl and catered to her every need with more rice and even her own little portion of ice cream too! Would definitely recommend coming here if you love mexican food! 10 out of 10!

We stayed in one of the lodges and had a meal in the restaurant. Both were lovely - the lodge was cosy and very comfortable whilst the food in the restaurant was fantastic. Ideal for an impromptu night away.

I just love it here. The staff are so friendly and overheard us saying it was eldest birthday and brought out a chocolate brownie with a candle without us asking. The food was delicious and portions really good. I had the pork ribs, which were so tasty and the meat fell off the bone, and the vegetable chimichanga and really enjoyed that too. We will be back soon.

Well, what can I say? Wellsprings is absolutely amazing. My husband bought us here for my birthday and we couldn’t fault it all! The lodges are UNREAL with stunning views. Very modern with beautiful decor. The lodges are well presented and very well equipped with large glass windows/doors with lush views. An outside area overlooking the countryside with table and chairs as well as comfy sofa makes it the perfect spot to take it all in. The bed was comfortable and the free standing bath in the bedroom was fabulous! The little extras made our stay even more amazing - chocolates, biscuits and tea/coffee/milk/OJ on arrival for our stay. We were greeted on arrival by the lovey owners who couldn’t do enough to make our stay so wonderful. They went above and beyond - leaving us birthday balloons and singing happy birthday with a candle in my sweet in the restaurant on top. These touches are what made our stay even more perfect. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant which was lovely! Food very tasty, service impeccable and the restaurant set up was beautiful again with stunning views. We were couldn’t fault our stay and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend.

Always great food and service up here. Our family love it! Nachos, calamares and garlic bread for starter and chicken skewers, paella, fajitas and chicken enchilada for mains. Great choice of drinks and desserts. Child's meal includes an apple juice and they love the kid's brownie!!! The servers are all wonderful. Definitely the best in the area for a family meal.

Arrived at the restaurant and it was very cold and hardly any other guests there so a terrible atmosphere. Waitress was very friendly but the food was awful. The Nachos' that came were dire and piled with iceberg lettuce on top and hardly any food underneath- cost cutting at its worst. This is not authentic Mexican food by any stretch of the imagination. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Birthday celebrations for 5! Wellsprings is a great place for an evening dine-out with friends. Greeted with a smile from the owner and shown to our table. The restaurant was busy however this did not affect the great service we were given throughout the evening. The food is great as always and the views are amazing. Can't wait for a return visit.

What a beautiful setting and restaurant. We took my dad to celebrate his birthday and had an amazing evening. I'd definitely tell all our friends about Wellsprings if they haven't already tried it before it's a must. Can't wait to come back and try more delicious dishes and fab wine.

We were blessed with the weather and sat in an airy room ideal for the seven of us. It was a birthday lunch. I had a vegetable soup which was piping hot exactly as ordered. It was smooth and delicious. My main was a filet steak. Unlike the others who had ordered steak, I asked for mine to be medium rare. It came somewhat well done. The steak was superb quality and everyone else enjoyed theirs, including two who had salmon. The staff were excellent and very helpful. I had a crème brûlée which was fine and three others had puddings which they enjoyed. I would not hesitate to return and if the steak is medium rare next time it will be a five star rating from me.

Wanted to try this restaurant after reading all the good reviews so decided to book it for the bank holiday Monday although not usually open on a Monday but being a bank holiday they were opening at 4.00pm. Beautiful setting, excellent service, good food, highly recommend p.

The food was burnt we advised them and was told it was crispy. The food was black and you couldn’t cut it with a knife. I politely brought this up when the waitress asked how the food was and she rudely answered me back that I was wrong her voice kept getting louder even though I’d not raised mine it felt like she was trying to start an argument with me. I wanted to politely give feedback but didn’t bother after she was so rude. If I’m honestly the food was awful. The nachos had more lettuce than tortillas, maybe because lettuce is cheaper it mean the tortillas were soggy and awful. It wasn’t traditional Mexican by any means the nachos had tinned pineapple on top. The bed at thing was the views and sangria. Hearing feedback doesn’t always have to be negative it can it can be constructive if given in the right manner to help a place improve it didn’t need to be taken on but if they want people to keep coming back it can help listening to peoples views.

Me and my friends visited The Wellsprings to celebrate a birthday and we had such an amazing time! The location is stunning and the views are always breathtaking. The food is cooked fresh to order and the choice on the menu is fantastic. Our favourites were the garlic bread and lingostinos for starters and the chicken enchiladas and chicken skewers for main course. The staff were so welcoming and polite- nothing was too much trouble which was brilliant as this place is BUSY! Another great experience here- thank you.

Great location pity about the food. Over priced for what it is. I could have cooked it quicker & better myself, over cooked chicken, very dry , a pinch of salad & shop bought tortillas. Very basic Not what I would class as Mexican.

What an incredible restaurant, the views are amazing, the food, cocktails were excellent and service was great! I had the chicken chimichangas and my partner had the bistec sizzling platter which were both delicious. Really good value for money and the atmosphere is simply fantastic, would highly recommend.

This place has stunning views. There seems to be a random jumble Sale in the entrance which didn’t fit in with the restaurant. We asked the waitress if the sea food platter was frozen and her response was she didn’t know. We had to ask her to go and check. Unfortunately it was. We decided to try it and it wasn’t great. Wouldn’t really say the menu is real Mexican. No Gordita’s, tacos, chillaqiilles or mole. Would say it’s more of a Mediterranean restaurant. Price was good.
