The best restaurants in Eden North West

We were staying nearby and ate here both nights. The menu was fairly extensive ( which made choosing difficult), but the dishes we had were all homemade and delicious.

We dined in Bustro 1871 as part of a short break holiday at the Appleby Manor Hotel. What a lovely break this was. Our first after the Spring and Summer lockdown. The food was really good and the waiters attentive. Appleby Manor itself is a delightful hotel full of old world charm. We are returning there again for my wife's birthday in October. I shall again dine in Bistro 1871 as well as sampling the gourmet restaurant at the hotel on our second night.

We had breakfast here this morning, the staff were great and super helpful.

Wrong pizza received, ordered Hawaiian, received sweetcorn and tomato. The Nutella pizza was covered in onions and mozzarella????? Disgusting. It was horrible, the rest of the food was not much better, really poor quality, very overpriced for the quality. The service was not much better, I stood in the shop waiting to be served and was completely ignored by at least five staff. I will not use this place again. Terrible food.

Walking around Appleby and came across this tucked away cafe Dog friendly so as we had our dog called in, once inside a warm welcome, we found our own table and was presented with a fantastic menu. Full breakfast toasties sandwiches cakes scones and a good choice of drinks, We both had local cake with butter tea and a generous flat white coffee,we really was made to feel welcome wit a mix of locals and visitors,cake was so good we ordered seconds. Well worth a visit The breakfasts looked fantastic Thanks we will be back on our next visit x Dave Ana Pep the Dog

We met at the Bridge for a family reunion with cousins from Ireland. The menu was more extensive than I remembered and satisfied a wide range of tastes from the traditional farmer to the aspiring artist to the teenage student. We’ll definitely be back.

Great place to stay. Good rooms, food and excellent staff and service. Lovely beer garden too.

I can honestly say this place is awful Food cardboard, Manager ignoring us and unhelpful insulting and outright awful to us both!! Smelled rotting wood. Waited a whole hour for food! Never in my life have i said how bad a hotel was until now! I REPEAT! DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!

If you want to buy quality food, this is the place to go.

First time trying the food, breakfast food was good the donut was ok. However, the woman who was at the drive through was really friendly and communicated well. Well priced food and lots of parking spaces

Called in after a long day walking. Lovely cosy little Pub, the meal was so tasty and piping hot. Friendly barman took our order and didn't take long for the food to arrive. We will definitely revisit and recommend to others.

Excellent food but stairs a little daunting for any but the most nimble. Young lady on reception could have offered a more welcoming introduction. Decor sparse and in need of more heat in the dining room. However we went for the food and it was of a high standard.
