A great pit stop on the way to Penrith, lovely breakfast and plenty of parking, polite friendly staff 😀

Safe parking for trucks food is OK bit tight with the portions same menu every week get a bit boring

Love this truck stop and always try and stop when I can, however why can’t they get the opening times correct on their website. Cafe doesn’t open till 7am and the shop doesn’t accept cafe vouchers.

Always clean and tidy. Stopped for food a couple of times and its always really nice. Fueled up here for a change, and the fuel is competitively priced and the shop is clean and modern.

Great stop for Trucks, the restaurant offers a great menu at reasonable prices. The toilets are clean and so are the showers. The shop is stocked with locally sourced product ( recommend the Scotch Eggs and Sausage Roll). There is plenty of parking the only thing I would mention is that it is used by coach tours so can get busy in the restaurant when they arrive.. I rate the place,it may not be cheapest truck stop but you pay for quality and this place is good value

Food is a little bit expensive, but you get what you pay for, quality food, well done.

Food is great. Plenty of choice. They serve the hearty type of meal you used to get in service stations up and down the country.

Always stop here on our way to Blackpool or Morecambe. They allow dogs in so that's good for us with our little dog Max. Coffee prices and coffee good.

We happened across this place by accident whilst looking for Tebay services! As it turned out, I think that was about a mile north but this place had everything we needed and we enjoyed our visit. As the name suggests, it is more aimed that lorry drivers and it was a bit weird when we drove into the car park as we thought we'd gone the wrong way. We hadn't and we soon found our way into the shop which is really nice and has a lot of local produce available for purchase. The restaurant was busy and it smelled really good but we didn't eat there. It's handily placed for The lakes or surrounding areas so definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful welcome, great staff delicious food and good value for money. Only drive a Smart truck but made most welcome. We will be back!!!

Good truck stop, clean and tidy. You can get diesel here for HGV, and thay accept most fuel cards.

I'm a huge fan of J38 truckstop but .. what a disappointing ham and cheese toastie today. Burnt on the outside, not melted in the middle, a dry piece of bread next to some warmed ham. More butter or chutney and a better frying situation required!

Great service‘grate staff Good food and plenty off parking . Dose accept Apple Pay 090523 Broke down today on car park and the service here is excellent after being here for one hour the staff came on found me too see if I was ok and I did I need anything.

Really nice and clean stop. The shop has some marvelous bakery items and we had a cinnamon knot which my husband says was the best he has had.

Junction 38 truck stop if you stop for fuel you have to try the scotch eggs the bramley apple one is lush great truck stop

Best place to stop for truckers this service area puts others to shame good price facilities are top notch didn’t try the food loadsa space I did forget to inset my card when I left great service thank you.

Fantastic truck stop. Great parking, good food, and the staff are always very pleasant. I'd like to draw special attention to Bev, who each and every time I visit, is happy, smiley, and happy to have a laugh and a joke with us Drivers, which goes a long way, considering we spend a week at a time alone in a tin box. Keep doing what you're doing

Since the takeover and makeover this place has moved away from being a truck stop with their prices being too much. A couple of their staff are rude and don't even look at you

Excellent truck stop. Good hard standing concrete parking areas. Onside fuel bunkers, jet wash is only £4 for 7mins. Clean showers and toilets and good food.

Breakfast was disappointing. It looked lovely and there was plenty of it. The problem was that it wasn't very warm, All the other facilities are top notch

I have been in many times for the great quality burger and I’ve came in this afternoon to realise you’ve changed your burger and the new ones are absolute horrendous I wouldn’t even feed them to my dog now get back on the old ones and get it sorted or my custom will go elsewhere absolutely disgraceful the head office should never change something what’s selling but it’s easy to do when your that bone idle and just sit behind a computer screen need a good shake some people

One of the best services you will find anyway in the country, hands down

Shortage of staff, big queues for takeaway food in shop. When someone did come on to take fuel payments they were complaining loudly about never getting a proper break accompanied by surly customer service. Come on truck stop if you're going to sell fuel have someone on the till and up your customer service. This has happened a few times recently which suggests you have problems.

Been using this place for 30 years and it's absolutely brilliant. Great home cooking at cheap prices. Huge portions too. Skip the services up the road and go here instead

The highest compliment I could pay this place is by saying that for years I have been driving past here on my way back down from Scotland to have my nights out at Truckhaven but after staying here for the first time today I can proudly say that I have been wrong for all of this time. J38 Truckstop is by far one of the best truckstops in the country. £22.50 parking gets you a £10 food voucher with a free shower. The place is spotless throughout. The showers are spacious with their own sink, toilet, hand dryer and mop to clean up after yourself for the next person. The shop is brilliant, full of great local produce and the food being served in the cafeteria is fantastic and fairly priced. Unfortunately for the other competition around this stretch of the M6 they have just lost a customer but I’m glad to say that you have not only just gained one but I shall be singing my praises to all of my colleagues at work too. You shall be seeing me again and thank you.

Called here for food was lovely and hot though expensive,restaurant far too small for the amount of customers who come here especially when truckers and buses arrive,new shop out of the way past toilets down corridor poor signage also not fully stocked and limited hot food missing a trick here also place is busy but too old in places and too small hasn’t changed much in years should knock down and rebuild but wont as lose too much money.ok for a quick bite or toilet break ,possibly other tebay services as shown on tv a lot better ££

Phenomenal pie and mash. Best sausage roll in the country. The compostable cutlery however... Had to use at least 4 sets to avoid slapping my pie crust with a soggy gravy laden chicken's foot. Must do better.

The staff here are so friendly and helpful The ladies and gents in the restaurant that cook for you and serve you couldn't be more helpful if they tried Collett and Mark on the cleaning and domestic side are fabulous All the staff go ubove and beyond for you Making you feel welcome all the time

The other week, me and my husband broke down on the weekend, breakdown told us they were going to take an hour and ended up taking over 12 hours. The cafe was closed and there was only the little shop open, to our surprise the two gentlemen that were in there, James and keiran, were so polite and kind and gave us free hot drinks. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and the young gentleman offered to drive me up to their northbound services as he knew there would be something and to my surprise there was! The teamwork between all the colleagues was amazing and truly we felt cared for. James and keiran are credits to the company!

Stop over again for lunch. Super meals again and good price even though prices have gone up. Friendly staff as usual... will be back. Looking at going for an evening meal.

Stopped here on our way to Morecambe We always stop here going and coming from Blackpool or Morecambe. Always a welcome stop to have a coffee and use toilets.
