The best restaurants in Cheshire West and Chester North West

Waited over 2 hours for the food to come not even warm and both burgers are oink inside!! Hate to chase the food up twice, they were not really bothered just said they were busy 😡

Last time we went to Sir Charles was in winter lashing down with rain. Walking into warm open fire set the mood then, fast forward to this vist. Beautiful summers evening taking a friend along as he is a great food lover. Sitting in garden enjoying the summers evening choosing our food and dinning outside. Food was faultless thank you very much to the team.

Absolutely amazing meal - gorgeous brushetta for starter and then a delicious roast for main. The roast dinner was the nicest I have eaten in years!!! A meal enjoyed by all of the family, served by very friendly staff. Keep doing what you are doing, can’t wait to go back.

Really like this pub. Such a great place to socialise , with a big range of beers, drinks. Cannot fault the food at all. I had the sausage and mash. Never tasted sausage quite like these. The best I have ever had . Compliments to the chef ! Bar staff very friendly , very efficient and seamed no problem to split the bill between four couples. The only thing that stopped me giving a 5* was our table was set nr the main entrance. It was a chilly evening so everytime the door was opened we all got a cold blast which made the pub feel cold where we were sitting. Especially as about 30 people from a local running club all arrived at once. Could not fault anything else. Great evening. Thank you to all the staff and of course the chefs and kitchen staff

Great Value for money, lovely Hotel & Staff were so friendly had a great Hen party weekend for my friend. Definitely come again.

A lovely pub in a historic Cheshire village. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The sunday roast was piping hot and plentiful. Id love to see a variation in the veg. Perhaps carrot & swede or cabbage greens. We will visit again.

My wife and I visited The Hinderton in Neston earlier today 6th April at appx 6.30 pm and ordered 2 roasts. Unfortunately the food failed to deliver and had all the signs of not being fresh. We were both surprised and disappointed at the quality of the food on this occasion as we had visited several times in the past and had good meals. We raised the comments with a member of staff who was very understanding avd advised would pass on the comments ( we were given complimentary coffee and mini deserts due to the issues). Later that evening my Wife and I both suffered with bloating and upset stomachs, hope this was just a one off.

Their cappuccino is the best - perfect.

I would like to thank Richie for his warm, human and thoroughly appreciated greeting when we arrived late on to check in after a lengthy drive. He is excellent. Room was very comfortable especially the bed and spacious. Would definitely stay again.

Just got back home after a Thursday lunchtime visit and it was simply superb! My wife had the steak and ale pie with mash, I had the Bunbury burger with chip and my daughter and grandson shared a pepperoni pizza and chips. It was honestly stunning food and all for £54. Highly recommended, we’ll be back. Excellent!

Girl with red hair on reception really needs some new customer service skills or a better suited job... wfh away from the general public. Young girl with tattoos was lovely as always. Second time visiting and red haired woman really ruined the vibe. No name badge so unsure of her name as no introduction. Looked extremely bored and uninterested - unwilling to help. Didn't go into detail of what facilities were available to us and when, just seemed to want to end the interaction as soon as possible and get back to what she said doing (nothing we were the only ones in there). Luckily, it was our second time here so we're somewhat familiar with what was on offer. Wasn't busy at all so no excuse of being rushed off her feet. Went into the back to hide from customers. No one on the desk when we went for our treatment and when we came back. It's a shame because it is a nice spa - but the people on reception are the first point of contact and can really have a lasting effect on the day. Treatment was average - again, masseuse seemed bored and unenthusiastic. Probably won't be visiting again unfortunately. Food was expensive for what it was. Staff insisted that we were to pick what we wanted to eat immediately as soon as we got there at 9am, despite being the only ones eating. Not sure why it was such an immediate factor. No offer of anything else to drink from the fridge, no would you like anything else how was your meal etc. Abysmal service. Like I said, Rowton Hall is nice but uninterested staff ruin the vibe.

We stop here when visiting the zoo. The staff are lovely and the rooms are immaculate.

Went there Thursday night with party of 4 and could not fault it. Very good food, lively atmosphere and excellent staff. It was so good I ate there on Friday night with a party of 4 as well. Will definitely eat here again and would highly recommend and good value in my opinion to
