Well worth going out of your way - great staff, brilliant menu including plenty of gluten free options (both foods and drinks). Never been let down on any of the tasty dishes we've all had, they're very dog friendly and the locals are nice. Love going here summer, winter, rain or shine and recommend it for all ages.

This place just gets better with each visit! Have never had a dish that hasn't been amazing. Top quality food and great portion sizes. The challenge here would be to eat 3 courses! Staff are so attentive and helpful. We have a gluten free newbie in town, but this isn't a problem here as there's plenty of choice for us all. One of those places you want to keep to yourself, but tell everyone about at the same time. Our new favourite for sure!

The “new” Bunbury Arms has all the charm that we remember but with extra class. Food was great and the service was perfect, Mike smashed it out of the park tonight!

Served by a very friendly guy and had the best garlic bread ever tasted. Highly recommend for a nice family lunch

Four of us called in for the first time since the change of owners and so pleased that we did. Great pub with a lovely atmosphere,, clean and pleasant decor. We were made very welcome and the service was great. Good choice of food, great quality, generous portions and good value. And the Banbury bitter was excellent. Looking forward to returning. Visited for lunch for the first time since lockdown. The pub has changed hands and improved considerably. We were made very welcome and the pub has a good, friendly atmosphere. Our meals were very good and the beer spot on, as was the service. We'll definitely be back.

I ate here with my dad, we both smashed down a couple of drinks and two perfect meals. All I can realy say is the service was impeccable as was the food. I would recommend everything on the menu because I just know it would be amazing. The atmosphere is great with a cozy, warm and happy feeling. Would 100% come back and I will.

My friend and I dined here for our evening meal. We were served by Jack and Mike. The service was excellent as was the food. The pub has a really nice welcoming atmosphere, food is freshly cooked and locally sourced where possible and they really care and cater for those with food allergies or intolerances. The singer added a really nice finish to the evening. We will definitely be back.

The bacon cheeseburger is fantastic the wife had roast dinner, food was pipping hot served with a smile

We did some shopping at cheshire oaks with our pooch, but searched a dog friendly pub nearby, Bunbury arms came up and what a find, we from now on will come here after every shopping trip to the designer outlet, Mike was very friendly and delivered an amazing service, we had beef skewers and pate to start followed by one steak and ale pie and gammon with eggs, home cooking at it's best, highly recommend this country pub, loved the homemade gingerbread with a coffee too...well done guys

A great night last week at the Bunbury Arms in Stoak - a murder mystery evening. Everyone got dressed up. It was so much fun. The actors were good and the atmosphere really good. Highly recommend trying it out. Elektra and Mike were exceptional hosts!

The first time we have visited, asked if we could park overnight in motorhome. Made to feel very welcome by all staff. Food was very good, fresh and hot. Everywhere lovely and clean. We will definitely return. Thank you.

A nice pint of bitter in nice surroundings

I recently dined here with my family and the food was excellent. Myself and my wife had the beef burgers which, were cooked to perfection and the chunky home made chips were amazing. The kids had full English breakfast which were a decent size and they ate the lot. Great food and great atmosphere.

Great venue and food. Updated under new ownership. Hard to find a proper independent in area. This hits the mark.

Can't fault the quality of the real ales. The new landlady seems very keen on keeping good ales on by being meticulous about keeping the lines clean, etc. All Greene King today but local microbreweries on the way

Visited at the weekend for a meal and a pint. Staff were very nice and Mike made a big fuss of the dog and brought water and treats to the table for her. Food was very good indeed, we had the sausages and mash(I highly recommend, sausages are huge) and also the gammon and egg. Price was reasonable and the place is nicely done out inside too We will be back again.

If uou want an argumentative manager and substandard food then look no further- food was awful and undercooked! An apology would of been fine only to be told nobody else has complained- so what are food was under cooked- take it on the chin instead of creating more problems- the staff were great by the way

Friendly pub with a very attentive landlord Mike. The chicken jalfrezi was outstanding and great value with the beer included in the special. I have no hesitation in recommending the Bunbury Arms

Wonderful food, excellent sausages! Great friendly service and a lovely place to eat. A little less bright would be good, maybe slightly dimmer bulbs but the ambience is very good. Very impressed and will be going again. The wine was also excellent.

Had lunch at Bunbury and a pint. We had a ploughman's bloomer and a bacon, brie and cranberry bloomer. Both were excellent. We took our 2 dogs who were welcomed with doggie treats and fresh water. Great food and hosts.

This place has recently opened and is amazing! Live music every Friday and great choice for food. Busy as always.

Under new management so we thought we would call in and give it a try. We'll we wasn't disappointed, we stayed for lunch which I have to say was really good. We were served by Katie who was friendly and very welcoming as was the landlord. We took took our two dogs and they too were looked after. We recommend you try it as we will definitely be returning

Under new management, visited for the first Sunday roast with my family and dog. Place has been transformed- very bright and family atmosphere. They have a bar area with a dartboard and their own Bunbury Bitter and Lager! Definitely be back for live music nights and curry and a cobra

We are away for a break in the Chester area, used this place years ago and was so good I came back!- Had to google where it was so we arrived quite hungry after a long journey south only to be told there’s no food available!…. Why not pop that fact on your website to save people the effort and diesel…. Had I been able to leave a zero review then I would…..

Lovely little dog friendly pub. Had the BLT which was really tasty and filling - good portions. Friendly service and only 2 minutes away from Cheshire Oaks.

We had the Sunday dinner. Beef or Gammon or both . We had both, obviously. Very tasty. Yum.

I'm not sure who has previously rated this establishment so highly, but based on our very brief visit, they must be fake profiles or very well known to the Owners/Landlord. From walking in the place looked dreary and had x3 members of staff gossiping behind the bar. We were eventually shown to a 'very sticky' table and curled up Menu dumped by us, only to be ignored for about 15-20 mins. By which time, we just thought we'd be polite and at least grab a coffee, only to be told the coffee machine was broken, so not hot drinks at all. At which point we made our excuses and left to try another place for lunch. Advice, don't believe all 5 star ratings are real, as this rating was certainly way off the mark.

Flies everywhere!! Would not go back! We used to love coming here but we went for lunch and the place was swarming in flies! There are clearly maggots somewhere for there to be that many!! Glasses and cutlery were dirty, tables and floor were all sticky.

Came here yesterday with the wife. We had a couple of drinks at first then thought we would try the food. And glad we did had the steak and ale pie was excepting a frozen pie or a puff pastry lid, but was pleasantly surprised to have a homemade pie it looked very rustic. My wife had the fish and chips. Would recommend was very tasty and value for money. Will be returning

Lovely pub and great beer garden, but the steak and ale pie was a let down, mostly thick pastry and only 3 small pieces of meat.

Table was sticky, waiter explained it was the varnish but still…. Not pleasant. Olives were expensive and clearly from a jar. There were bits of hard plastic in my lasagne. No one came to check if the food was ok. Kids dinners were fine. Wouldn’t go back

Me and my mate go there every other Thursday evening for a pint and a bite to eat. There is nowhere else within miles that comes close to The Bunbury Arms. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure the experience is second to none. Would highly recommend 👌

Been visiting this gorgeous pub for many years. Today, I had one of the best roasts I’ve ever had and I’m a tough critic when it comes to roast lunches! Very warm welcome, the staff all helped me feel comfortable with my son and my dog. Five star service. Pretty sure my sons chicken nuggets were a chef special and my roast and gravy! I’m a gravy freak were to die for x Thank you, keep being amazing. Family run, local business it’s right up my street x Jules x

I visited after mooring up on the canal. There was only one real ale on offer when I visited, but it was a very good pint of landlord. I didn't eat, but they have various two for one offers during the week or something similar. Welcoming friendly people.

Can't comment on food as we only went for a drink. However it smelt good. Lovely location and the owners have certainly made positive improvements.

The food is superb 10 out of 10, we went here for our 41st wedding anniversary, will definitely go back

We pre-booked for a table of 15 and had an excellent experience. We were well looked after without the service ever being intrusive, and the food and drink were both excellent. I would strongly recommend this delightful pub.
