Stopped here for a sunday lunch, WOW the food was amazing so tasty and fresh. The staff were so helpful too, nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy would highly reccommend this place. Will definately be back. thank you. x

Both my wife and I regularly visit this establishment quite frequently, and it never disappoints. The staff are amazing ,they are very welcoming and continue to be attentive throughout our meal . We visited on a Saturday evening, and the place is spotlessly clean with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food is lovely and well presented in traditional surroundings. The meals themselves were delicious. All 3 courses were faultless and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend it and will return once again very soon. From the barman to the waitress and waiter and chef's, thank you for a lovely evening .

Friendly welcome and good service. Clean place with a good atmosphere. Food was good. 1 star off as I was served overcooked frozen chips which was disappointing. My wife had a lovely halibut dish. Would go back again

Great pub, very welcoming and friendly staff. Visited twice in the last 2 days having very tasty light bites on Saturday. On our experience we wood recommend this pub to all. Also dog friendly.

What a great night we had for my wife's birthday. The staff, Leon, Emma, Zoey and Alex were fantastic. The food was excellent and service brilliant. We've been here a quite a few times and always look forward to returning, thanks again.

Visited on a Saturday with elderly parents had to change tables due to very poor lighting no one told us that sitting in the pub area would not give us the same service, food was a poor standard as was the drinks with a bill over £85 I expected a better response to my feedback from the manager but the worst of it was that my mother in law mentioned how bad her meal was and after this was a treat I got very upset.

We came out for lunch on the 12th of August for my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Leon was our waiter and he was very attentive and friendly. The chef Zoey was excellent we will come back Thank you

Was driving past and thought the place looked nice so called in for some food. So glad we did! What a lovely homely place with friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We had the option of sitting in the restaurant or bar side, we chose the bar as it looked cozy on a slightly a rainy day. Everything on the menu sounded good and we were tempted by their roast dinners (we werent overly hungry but we'll go back for a roast, i'm sure!) Instead I went with their signature burger and my partner went for a pie. Omg! The beef on the burger wasn't your standard minced patty, it was real roasted beef brisket and the marmite sauce that went with it was just amazing! My partner was impressed with his pie, too. We ordered at the bar and were offered a tab in case we wanted a desert or more drinks later which I thought was a lovely touch. The food and drinks arrived quickly and the staff were so helpful. What a lovely find, we'll definitely be back thank you 🥰

Lovely food pub fab although staff are a bit cheesy

Probably about the third time we have visited last night 08/08/24. Asked if we could eat in the bar area which was fine but we were not told it was bar service on that side even when staff brought the cuttlery and napkins. As a result we were left waiting which obviously put a damper on the whole experience. If things were clearer I may not feel compelled to write such a review

This pub has become our stop off point for a meal before we get the overnight ferry from Birkenhead. Good choice of food and everyone is always friendly.

We visited on Sunday and enjoyed one of the best meals out that we have had in a long time. The staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful and the tables were spotlessly clean. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious, so tasty and seasoned to perfection. We will be back now that we have rediscovered you! Many thanks.

Eaten on the lunch menu Saturday a few times and the food is always quality. Can’t fault the prices and I’d say the best halloumi fries I’ve tried. Seriously can’t fault it 5*

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We were welcomed warmly when we entered, seated on a lovely table by the window, and were waited on by Harrison who was friendly and helpful with taking our order. I had the signature burger and my husband had the roast turkey, which were both superbly cooked by chefs Kat and Zoey. Only marked down the atmosphere as it seemed quiet for a Sunday night, probably due to England playing in the Euros final but fingers crossed things will pick up again for this fantastic pub. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future, hopefully on a sunny day to sit on the decking!

Lovely homely pub staff are friendly there is loads of room to sit. The menu is fantastic we had a lovely meal,there is a delightful outside area of decking if the weather is nice 😄.

Eaten here several times and it's always been delicious with excellent service. This was the first time on a Sunday. Never again...40 minutes from being seated to taking our order. No, it wasn't busy. 2 of 3 meals good.

£12.76 for 2 pints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, we did have a voucher for a meal deal which worked out value for money. But how do the biggest chain, greene king, justify the price of a pint??

We went for a family members birthday there was a long wait between stater and main with no reason given until we asked when meal arrived one was sent back as the pie was still frozen in the middle

Family visit for Father's Day. Nice, varied Father's Day menu available plus the usual Sunday lunches, and my younger daughter was very happy with the kid's menu options. Thanks to waiter Kian who waited patiently as some of us (me) struggled to choose, and Chef Cal. The food was lovely. They were happy to serve sauces etc on the side for those of us on a diet (also me), which is a plus. We had a slight wait for the main courses, but not too long and it was obviously very busy due to the occasion. We weren't in any hurry so it wasn't a problem. MY DAD WANTS TO KNOW IF HE CAN BRING A VASE NEXT TIME FOR HIS SALTED CARAMEL SUNDAE DESSERT ?? because when it's that nice, clearly a regular sized Sundae glass is not big enough. Not our first visit and we'll definitely be back again (with the vase).

I can't begin to thank all of the staff for the for the fabulous service we had but especially Izzy, she is an absolute credit to your team. The food was scrumdiddlyumptious (in other words absolutely delicious) I believe the chefs name is Dan, the food was prepared, cooked and served to perfection. Thank you all once again. Maybe there will be Gluten free fish and chips on the menu soon...

Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Food was delicious and I would certainly recommend anyone eating here. I ate from the special’s menu, both our meals were very tasty and plenty of it. We really enjoyed it and will return again soon.

Had a lovely lunch it was very nice and the flavours were great . Good service nice staff but lacked atmosphere probably because we were very early and not many people around. Lovely summer menu so we will be back .

We had a family party that included two dogs. The staff were very friendly and reserved a perfect spot in the pub with space and treats for the dogs. The food and service were excellent, and the price was reasonable.

Not been here for at least a year .had several meals here this one was one of our top 3 visits..food fab service very good clean bright toilets clean always a plus just bit quite so atmosphere had a slight hit ..

I always enjoy stopping here for lunch,the staff are friendly and the food is good.On my last visit I had home made leek and potato soup which was delicious,then I had mushroom rarebit which was ok but could have been improved if the mushroom had been on a nice slice of crusty bread.I had a pot of tea but while the tea was very good the tea pot and cup and jug had black marks on that looked as if they had been handled by dirty hands.For that reason I dropped one star.

My husband and I stopped here for a quick lunch. Greeted and seated with smiles, we were made to feel very welcome. Food was outstanding, with delicious choices that stood out from your regular pub style eateries. The pub itself was not overly busy for a midweek lunch, which suits us both perfectly.

Enjoyed a roast dinner with my Mum & Dad today. We all had roast beef and homemade yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and veg with gravy and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend The Hinderton Arms if you fancy a roast dinner with excellent service and a lovely, warm atmosphere too.

A friend and I visited on a Friday and I had the Seafood Grill off the specials menu. It included salmon, seabass, prawns in shells cooked, green salad and potatoes with a dressing. The prawns were lovely once I realised I had to use my hands. They didnt require any messing about pulling them apart as they were cooked and the shells came off easily. I knocked a star off for the atmosphere because my friend and I were cold. We will go back once the roadworks outside have been removed.

First visit today taking Mum for a meal on Mother's Day with my sister. We had a wonderful time. The staff and service was exceptional. The three courses we had were fantastic and we were all very full afterwards. Lovely atmosphere and we will definitely be returning.

The mushroom pie was AMAZING and the staff so lovely. It was also not too loud and had a calm cosy atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

Really nice pub with a lovely feel to it. We ate in the restaurant section and had and everything was fantastic. The staff we great and the food as beautiful. I had a special which was the pork belly with a rum caramel sauce. It was the best pork belly dish I've ever had and I hope they add it to the main menu!

Very disappointing, would recommend going other places like the red fox. Menu was limited as food not available, remaining food average and just not worth it. Go elsewhere.

Had the Atlantic cod and chips. Never before have I seen such fish it was more like batter and chips . I feel the fish is still swimming. I know it was late in day but sorry no excuses for lack of consistency.. worst battered fish I have ever had .. staff so apologetic

Lovely food. VERY TASTY. Both starter and main had a bunch of flavour and were very well cooked. Staff were lovely, friendly and quick service. Christmas decs made it such a lovely atmosphere. Really like the blankets available for a cosy meal!

Lovely oub, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food wasn't bad, I had chicken pie which was quite tasty but I was disappointed with the 'honey glazed carrots' sounded delicious but only got two very small chunks. Came with 'seasonal' veg which turned out to be broccoli (one floret head sliced in two) and peas...I'm not sure garden peas are seasonal. The biggest disappointment was the price of the drinks, two lime and lemonades in large size but wasn't a very big glass costing £12.50 (£7.50 lemonade/£4.50 for lime). I think that would put us off returning. Service was good and as I said the staff were lovely.

Shame not more vegetarian choices. Also small starters soup was not hot and hardly covered the bottom of the bowl. Nice vegetables with food though. Staff great and atmosphere do compensate. Shame not more progressive in food styles though.

Service was great, food was ok and reasonably priced and the place is spotlessly clean - my only issue with my visit was the temperature of the place! They could of done with putting the heating on, every other person in there had their coats on. When I asked if they could put the heating on I got told the heating was already on?

My fiancée was treated by 8 of her coworkers & boss to celebrate our wedding! I picked the perfect location! Firstly on arrival I sneaked in and spoke to bar staff who recommended All the wine ( I’ve no clue) the feed back from my future wife & the rest of the party was perfect on the wine selection and the food & service was second to none. I would personally like to thank all the staff at Hinderton Arms for making it a special day !! Thank you

Amazing vegetarian burger with beyond meat and fabulous chips!

The place was clean and the team were friendly enough. Service could have been explained a little better upon arrival. The Sunday roasts aren't great. My partner and I both had mixed roasts. The beef and pork we're massively overcooked, but our dog didn't seem to mind. Wouldn't recommend the cauliflower cheese, unless you're happy with a thimble of cheese sauce on top of a couple of florets. Desserts were nice though.

Food was nice but could have had more steak in the pie, service was great really friendly and attentive, place is really clean and tidy nice relaxing atmosphere,other then more filling in the pie I would recommend a visit here

Had a family celebration meal booked last night and cannot thank the girls enough! The standard of service went beyond in our view due to their kindness and thoughtfulness when looking after our party! The food was absolutely beautiful and piping hot! We simply cannot thank you all enough and hope this heartfelt thanks reaches the right people involved. Would highly recommend this lovely place!!!

Veggie burger served without burger....eyes rolled when questioned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. No real apology. Peppercorn sauce was frozen, no question if everything ok with meal. Poor customer service in my opinion....will not be returning and do not expect a reply from venue as didn't even get a reply on the night from management....avoid at all costs. Nearly £200 bill for very poor quality food and zero customer care

We booked a table for lunch and were shown to a window seat. Only problem there were men right outside drilling and working on decking so noisy and not what you want to look at. We moved to other side of room which was virtually empty. My lasagne was a bit crispy and burnt but generally food and service were ok. Won't be rushing back any time soon

It's a lovely olde worlde kind of pub which is very appealing. Unfortunately the food let the place down. The starter terrine was tasty but the bread think it was ciabata was very hard. Fish, chips & garden peas weren't very appetising the batter on the fish was quite hard as were the peas which were also cold. I got a mini pud with a hot chocolate. It was definitely mini I would say an inch square piece of cheese cake with luke warm drinking chocolate. I will not be in a rush to return for a meal but would like to back for a drink.

Although the restaurant was quiet the service was great and the food even better. Wild Boar Burger was top notch.
