pret a manger in Cheshire West and Chester

I went into the Chester branch today with my friend, she knocked her drink over I went to move my drink out of the way and knocked mine over. My friend went to the counter and ask one of the staff do you have a mop we have spilt our drinks. She gave us some blue roll so my friend was cleaning up the mess a member of the public came and helped us her boyfriend found a wet floor sign, we never did get the mop and not one member of staff came to help us. The shop wasn’t busy so they couldn’t use that excuse we are still waiting for the help. So we are not impressed with the help from staff.

Was nice place staff very friendly food was good coffee was nice But WHY serve the coffee in a paper cup and the food ( cake ) in a paper bag can't be good for the environment all going in the bin.would I go again? Probably not

The Spanish barista named David is a lovely person, always friendly and makes delicious coffee.

we order from here nearly daily but the amount of times something is missed is getting ridiculous. Today a baguette was missed, this has a knock on effect to the rest of the day either one of us doesn't eat or I have to go and find a sandwich from another shop which wastes time and means I then have to work late to make up for the time I've missed finding a sandwich. it is not good enough from an establishment like Pret.

Just went in to get a coffee as soon as the store opened and the lady sighed as she opened the door and saw 3 of us waiting outside, didn’t even look at me or acknowledge me was a very bad experience i felt like i was unwelcome and she just wanted me to leave and i was an inconvenience

Worst cappuccino ever. I always avoid take away cups as they leak plastic and I always stay in when drink my coffe but here you get a take away cup even when you pay to stay in, my hot drink tasted of plastic! Will not come back, Costa and Nero much better.

Excellent food . It's a great place for a quick lunch. Staff were lovely just busy.

My go to for coffee always but disappointed today as ordered a skinny cappuccino. It wasn’t a cappuccino it was more a latte and far too hot to drink for ages I ended up leaving some. Was looking forward to it aswell. Sorry Pret ☹️

I usually like pret but I find thus one staff attitude not good

Not sure why this place is so popular to be honest. The food is average, really nothing special and expensive for what it is. Service in the Chester shop was fine but probably wouldn't bother visiting another, you're not missing anything.

Coffee is just brown water no taste

Ah, Always love Pret and especially the Chai Latte. Really recommend. The Lasagne soup is also so tasty although the hot food was a bit not hot enough for me.

Walked in. Food looks nice, 2 x prices on offer one if you sign up for their app and one if you don't. I do not appreciate being forced into things like this and certainly won't be paying a higher price for something that others are paying less for. So we walked straight back out and will avoid pret from now on if this is their approach

food on point, delivery is awfull. if you are too lazy to bring the food on the 3rd floor dont work as a delivery driver

Not a fan of chains in general, but have to grudgingly say that they were cool. Otherwise a bit pricey.

These two mature ladies at the reception desk act like they're not happy... Zero sense of humour... That doesn't give a good impression for the public out!!!

Menu poorly reflects the item delivered. Menu picture shows a completely different item. I would not have ordered had I known I would be getting something different from what was shown

Nice food, great coffee, clean facilities

I've had lunch here most Saturdays for over five years. The cafe is always clean and fresh, light and airy. They always have plenty of staff on during busy periods, so although there may be a large queue, it’ll go down fast. It’s manic in there sometimes and it must take a special kind of people to staff it. There are plenty of tables, including a large upper floor, with a balcony for observing the "busy-ness" down below. The food is well presented, always appears prepared to a high standard and is tasty. I usually have the macaroni cheese with prosciutto or the mac and kale, because it’s hearty, filling and warm. The pastries are superb, the better for being freshly baked. The croissants are light and fluffy. I also recommend the cinnamon swirl. Their tea is a particularly nice blend.

Boxing Day toastie looked nothing like the picture. It was about a quarter of the thickness of the one shown. Tasted good but was hardly worth the price tag. I don’t know how they can get away with using these pictures.

My croissant was undercooked. Didn't have the time to complain. No service anymore.

I’ve been a regular customer to Pret A Manger, love the coffee, the staff named Magdalena has always been really nice & kind. All staff members are friendly. Good coffee. ☺️

Lovely friendly staff and plenty of choice

Really poor service. Customers who arrived after me got served drinks before me. When I asked why. Was told it was because they had changed Barista - which makes no sense the orders are computer screen. Then my drink was found sitting on the counter waiting to be served.

Nice food, but a bit pricey...sandwich, crisps and cup of tea x2 was nearly £18 !!

Always friendly staff, at this venue. just need to sort out people having shopping in 3 out of four seats, ie could not sit due to female hogging all seats on table. asked to sit on table she said she was waiting for friends but none came and then left with shopping glancing at me sheepisly and dissapeard on next table female had full table with computer and papers all over, so it needs sorting, but very happy with rest once I found a seat.

Coffee and staff lovely as always, but only one toilet in the Ladies as other was out of order. I had to wait for over 15 minutes to use the toilet. The men's toilet had no queue. Pret, please read Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez to guide you on planning toilet facilities for women. We spend longer in the toilet because we have periods, and are statistically more likely to be helping children or people with additional support needs to go to the toilet. Therefore we need, not equal amounts of toilets than men, but more. And certainly not fewer. Thanks.

Great, healthy food excellent coffee. The staff could not have been more helpful. Helped my mum and niece while I was with my daughter.

Usually visit here before work and staff are always amazing. However I left my last visit disappointed and quite frankly upset. I had spent the better half of 8 minutes as the only person in the queue while the staff were troubleshooting an issue with a coffee machine , which was not a problem at all ; that’s life it happens ! , however what upset me was when another customer came to the til next to mine they were served immediately! I gave this firdt customer the benefit of the doubt but once the second one came along and was also served I decided this was my last time visiting this pret… shame

What's with the massive hunk of butter on the middle of the baguettes but the rest of it is dry???

Nobody wants to eat a HUGE chunk of butter that hasn't been spread out on the rest of the baguette. That was disgusting and it's a regular occurrence. Whoever makes your baguettes hates sandwiches.

Can get pretty busy but it's worth it!!!

Lovely and fast driver, there was one thing unavailable at the cafe and they couldn’t get in touch with me as I was in a meeting, so they left me a note explaining how I can get refunded for that item. I just thought it was so lovely and considerate

Lovely baked products & the coconut rice coffee was the nicest I've had, quick delivery will definitely order from Pret again.

The food is excellent as usual but they really need to sort out the toilets. The men's has had a bucket under the leaking urinal for several years and the hand dryer doesn't work and the women's toilet didn't have any soap.

Service was amazing and my sister and I felt really welcomed coming in by all the staff, especially a girl named Charlotte! Definitely will be coming back, thank you 😊

Good selection of ready made sandwiches. Prices fair for a town centre. Plenty of seating in a nice well lit upstairs area.

Croissant and pain au raisin excellent as were coffee and hot chocolate (good to be able to get skinny decaf and strengthen). Hot chocolate was only three quarters full. Only real issue was I ordered a bacon roll but received a cold bacon and egg baguette. Disappointing.

The restaurant called in advance to say they did not have an item and as I didn't want a substitute I should request a refund. JUST EAT should provide this option to the restaurant. I shouldn't have to request a refund for something that they know in advance they are unable to fulfil. What was received was excellent. The quality from Pret is great!

The food is very good. Service was very good. The brown panini rolls have a nice crunch to them. Coffee is good.

The prices are misleading. The takeaway price is prominent whilst the higher dine in price is shown in much smaller type.

Went in to do some work, the staff weren’t very friendly and made me feel like a pain for being there. 3 stars are the coffee and food were nice and reasonably priced.

This Pret is ok. The staff are friendly, but I have been here a few time in the last month and each time I have wanted butter to go with the bread for the soup and they haven't had any. I can't understand how a food shop doesn't have butter for weeks on end?! Seems silly really.

Disappointed baguette wasn't as pictured. It's not a full baguette as displayed it's half an almost stale baguette with barely any egg mayo in it.

Nearly all of the old Tea Shops in Northgate have vanished over the last 18 months so it was to Pret we turned and it didn't disappoint. Its simple ... you know what to expect and the food, soups and coffees are nice. This Pret has two floors so plenty of space. Recommended.

Decent coffee and friendly service. The music is too loud and the gent's loos have been a mess for months ( drier not working and no towels and urinal leaking..).Surely this can be fixed.

We'd just had a guided walk around Chester and were ready for our lunch. Pret-a-manger is always a safe bet and this one certainly was. We had one of their soups each and an accompanying sandwich. We then noticed it was raining so we has a latte until is passed. A good lunch in the dry!

I order a delivery and when it shows up this girl is on the phone says nothing to me and practically runs away after handing me the food/drink. I paid for four items and three showed up, with one of them being coffee which I found upside down spilled over my food items. Cannot believe I paid money for people to completely miss an item and then spill a hot drink over all the rest. Total waste.

Good food and coffee as always .light airy surroundings .but music blearing from the speakers upstairs .impossible to enjoy a conversation with your friends. Even had to take a phone call outside as too loud to hear the caller . Shame ! It spelt a nice shopping trip.

I like Pret A Manger and always enjoy the baguettes and coffee but the place is unbearably hot with no fresh air and with covid I think there should be open windows and doors especially when its so busy in there.
