Indian Brasserie in Cheshire West and Chester

DO NOT order takeaway from here. I ordered online for collection. Gave my order number at collection time and 35 minutes later he told me they had lost the order, got my food after waiting for 1 hour. No offer of discount and no apology. Only comment ‘it’s not our fault the order hasn’t come through’ hum!

Food arrived on time, hot and tasty. Different flavours there(you know how bad curry all sort of tastes the same?) . Solid curry house curry. Will definitely go to again!

If this restaurant wants to stay in business I suggest they part company with just eat.yyyttrdddeddddddffdddddddddddddddd

I like this restaurant and that is why we use it time after time. Good COVID arrangements and looked after well. Food decent as usual and more than reasonable price. Left very satisfied and will be back. Stay well all.

Visité la Brasserie el 28 de septiembre, ya que no había estado en un tiempo, la comida era buena. Mi esposo preguntó si podía tomar el resto del curry como comida para llevar, le dijeron que podía, pero que tendrían que cobrar 1, cuando le pregunté por qué dijo que los contenedores eran caros. Puede comprar estos contenedores en las tiendas locales por 89 p por 6. Obviamente, los consiguen mucho más baratos ya que compran al por mayor, dijo que fue decisión de los jefes que no tenía nada que ver con él. He comido en restaurantes indios en todo el país y nunca me han cobrado. Vivo en la comunidad local y utilicé el restaurante para llevar y cenar. Yo no voy a volver . Pensaron que estaban tratando de reconstruir el negocio, no de la manera correcta de hacerlo, por el bien de un cargo 1, han perdido dos clientes y amigos.

Encontré este lugar a través de una investigación en TripAdvisor durante un breve descanso en Chester. Tengo que decir que no me decepcionó. Bienvenida muy calurosa. Servicio excelente. Los entrantes estaban bien, pero las comidas principales eran de muy mala calidad, nadie comprobó si estábamos contentos. Para ser justos, lo dedujeron de la factura. Lamentablemente no volvería.

Lockdown takeaway. Arrangements good and all in place when I arrived to pick up food. No issues with timings, food hot and delicious. A great family meal enjoyed by all. Top work all and see you again soon.

Necesitaba estar en Chester, mi lugar de nacimiento, pero no muy conocido por mí en este momento, durante el encierro.Comí una masalla de pollo con chile (quería pollo con chile con ajo, pero la esposa no duerme en la misma habitación después ...) Fabuloso. La Sra. Comió cordero tikka bhuna. El cordero estaba delicioso, muchas veces la "carne al curry" es dura. Aqui no. . .Bhindi estaba bien - cocinado - 'al dente' - en lugar de blando como puede ser en cualquier otro lugar. Personalmente, no me gustó el keema naan, lo encontré demasiado seco, pero esto no debería restar valor al resto de la maravillosa comida. Cinco estrellas sin dudarlo.

Called order in at 1805, told it would be 40 minutes. Eventually got food at 1922. Woefully understaffed. Guy on front counter fobbing people off ”yeah it’s coming I’m packing it myself” Avoid until you have evidence that they are appropriately staffed.

Staff are very attentive and helpful whether eating in the restaurant or ordering a take away. Food is excellent and varied. Good value for money.

Where do I start? Never in all my life have I ever had a worse experience than when we visited this restaurant and we go out to eat a lot!We visited in December while on holiday, we thought it would make a change to go to an Indian restaurant. I really wish we hadn't bothered, from the moment we walked in the staff were very rude.As soon as we walked in, we were asked quite aggressively if we were part of a party of six, we told them we were not, we were told to stand by the door until another member of staff came up to us.Again, when asked by the other member of staff if we had booked, he was quite aggressive in his manner, we told him we hadn't. He told us to go and sit down on the sofa, and when I tried to ask if they could cater to our daughter who has allergies he did not want to know, I tried again to ask and was again told to sit down in an aggressive manner.We did as we were told and sat down, but decided we were not staying. Now I know people can get stressed (I work in the service industry), but the restaurant was not full with only a few tables occupied. The food might have been fantastic, but with an attitude like theirs I’m very surprised there was anyone in the restaurant.I hope they read this comment, as we have never been treated in this manner ever! Please retrain your staff in better people skills.

Very small portions. Lamb tikka was five lamb shavings and my main consisted of five small pieces of chicken in an ocean of sauce. Tried this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and we weren’t overly impressed but wanted to give it a second chance as it’s our closest Indian restaurant and we are new to the area. Our search now continues for our default bi weekly curry. Disappointed ☹️☹️☹️

I have visited this fantastic establishment on numerous occasions and the perfect quality of food and high quality professionalism and warmth of staff is second to none. The food and dining experience is consistently superb. Thank you to the staff for such a consistently fabulous experience. I cannot recommend this place enough! You will not be disappointed! Best Indian restaurant and takeaway I have ever experienced! I would give 100 out of 5 if I could!

I went with my husband and two kids. From the outset I was expecting average but as we were going home to Manchester after lantern parade at Chester Zoo thought we'd better get the kids fed and went in as it was only a mile up the road. Well i can 100 per cent say as a Bangladeshi this is not what i call curry I certainly wouldn't put this out on my dining room table and you wouldn't find it in my mum's kitchen. It's what i call a 'white man's curry'. We ordered chicken archari and prawn dopiaza let me tell you they might as well have poured a jar of curry sauce from Asda straight into the already cooked tandoori chicken and the tiny prawns. The only saving grace was the tarka daal which i can say tasted like how it should. The rest should not pass as authentic Indian food.

I can highly recommend to Spice lovers. I needed a fix and the Madras was excellent. Good value and great service.

Location is good with ample parking. The service is prompt and efficient and the food super, reasonable value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

This is of course rather off the beaten track unless you live near Upton. We go there on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. Always very easy to get in and good food and pleasant atmosphere and staff. I'm personally working my way through the specials.

I literally love to visit this place again and again as being a big time foodie me and my friends are careless to prepare food of our own as being an student here. This restaurant work as genie from the magic lamp for ppl like us .we had plenty of things together onion bhajis and 2 meat platter as starters and main meal was extravagantly delicious .. me and my friends (8 ppl in total )decided this place will be our all time spot from now onwards because we can get our booze and food varieties (delicious vegan food also)under one roof thats really important as in my circle few are vegan and here in Uk its nearly impossible to get everything at one place.

I’ve been there for my cousin’s birthday celebration. It’s been a best place so far after I turned up to UK .. food was very delicious ., they can adjust according to your need as I asked for chick peas masala bit more spicy and lamb medium and they did it for us . We had few cobras and pint of Diet Coke along , starters were apt on time ,, staff were genuine they asked us if we need break in b/w .. we felt very nice and special at one time when they cooked special meal I.e chicken tikka masala according to my mother .. as with family we don’t want to rush and need time to celebrate in this running world , very less often we go out and spend time nowadays they all gave us time to enjoy..

Amazing food with a really friendly atmosphere. Very attentive staff, but the waiter taking our order seemed to try and rush us through the process. But all said a great evening and will visit again soon.

This is a great Indian that provides a wide selection of foods. Although the food tastes great and ha a good level of spice the most amazing thing I find is that it offers curries with quorn options, which I haven't found anywhere else. On Sundays and Mondays the also offer deals. I will definitely be going back

After having been busy all day we chose this place for dinner rather last minute.

Went to this place as a last minute decision after googling the closest place to chester zoo. The food was nice and the restaurant is in a very good location. The restaurant has ample car parking space. Would definitely recommend

Confié en Tripadvisor para que me guiara en la dirección correcta mientras estuve en Chester, pero esto solo demuestra que no puedes creer todo lo que lees. La bienvenida fue agradable y educada, nos sentamos rápidamente y ahí fue donde terminaron los buenos detalles. . . La comida fue terrible! Era insípido, sin sabor y si no fuera tan malo, habría sido fácil de olvidar. We had visited Chester Zoo on the Monday, so we decided to book a table at the resturaunt for 7pm.

Uno de los camareros (no entendió su nombre, pero el fanático del Arsenal, que no vamos a hacer contra ti) fue muy bueno con la familia, así que gracias por eso y muchas gracias.

Visiting Chester and googled an Indian for tea. This place came up, absolute 1st class in all departments.

Local to me go here all the time the best Indian in chester hands down! If not the best Indian I have had consistently great food!! Polite service and very attentive although I do mostly take aways I have say in a few times and they are always very accommodating!

Just visiting Chester after a day at the zoo. Very clean and well decorated restaurant. Staff very friendly with us and other customers I I noticed. We had the Sunday special, 2 courses for £8.95 (+£1 on bank holiday). Starters delicious and huge portions. Main courses all delicious and all very different, couldn't eat it all as the portions are big. Drinks very reasonable price too. Can't fault the service, food and restaurant. Definitely recommend to families, couples and groups. Recommend booking as we did to avoid disappointment.

After a wonderful day at Chester zoo. We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm on Monday evening. We were the only party in the restaurant(6 adults 4 children). We were grunted in by the waiter called Manik. And told there were no high chairs. Tried to order the drinks for the children and were told he would take the whole order at once, bearing in mind there was barman and no one else in the restaurant. We eventually got the drinks, and tried to order food for the children and again were told to all order at once. We decided on 6 Sharing platters (to be eaten as mains) and 4 veggie curries plus sides. We were then told sorry can’t do that. Manik insisted that everyone eating children included would have to have a main meal, as starters only were not allowed. We tried to offer local business our custom but since they refused to meet these simple needs we left.

Went yesterday with my Sister for a very quick Tea. We had the Sunday banquet which at £8-95 was very good value, you get a starter and a main course with rice. We added poppodoms, food was good, piping hot and served very quickly

I had the unpleasant experience dining here with my family recently. We are avid diners and all thoroughly enjoy Indian cuisine. Unfortunately we naively believed the great reviews on this establishment. I can only imagine the majority of the reviews are of a false nature.

Wow, what can I say... This place must be the best Indian Restaurant/Take-Away in Chester & surrounding areas. I always receive a very warm welcome from all the team. The menu is very comprehensive, & the food, well, is fantastic. Everything is freshly cooked to order. Myself, family & friends have never been disappointed, (in fact, its my nieces favourite eatery, & I usually treat my brother to their gift vouchers, for his Birthday & Christmas presents...).

We were camping nearby and looking for a good place to eat on a Saturday evening, having missed out at another venue. although busy, they had a table for 2 and were just as attentive as if they were quiet.

Each and every time we eat at this brasserie I am amazed at the consistent quality of the dishes and the value for money the extensive menu represents. I travel from north wales specifically to eat here. Without exaggeration, the years of eating 'curries' exclusively on Manchester's curry mile could not be matched either in quality or price to the dishes produced here.

First time me and a friend of mine eating Indian food, absolutely delicious. The place is cosy, staff is treating you like a king, the cooking time is quick. 10/10

Was on a trip to Chester to visit my best friend. We went to the famous Chester Zoo and had a lot of fun there. We finished the day in this restaurant since it was close to the Zoo. This was the first time I was entering in an Indian restaurant. I was absolutely amazed with the delicious food, the superb serving and the fine wine we were offered. Definitely will come back the next time Im in Chester.

Hi I visited the Indian brasserie on the 21st of April on a Saturday night a group of 10, on arrival we were asked for popadoms and drinks we ordered starters which were amazing and ordered mains which were gorgeous. The waiter that was serving us was very helpful, asked his name and he said it was Ali. He was very welcoming and helpful and made sure that everything was ok with our meal. He was a very polite mannered boy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is thinking of going. Thankyou to our waiter (Ali).

We are down for a couple of nights from middlesbrough and fancied a curry so chose Indian brassiere. We weren't disappointed. Excellent food. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. Special mention to our waiter Ali aswell. Thank you.

Travelling back from Liverpool on a Sunday evening and had done my research. Fancied a curry and this restaurant had decent reviews, not in the town centre and not far off the M53. We got in there about 7:45 and were pleasantly surprised that we...

We visited the restaurant for my father's 80th birthday. There were 7 guests and we have previously been here before and the food has always been fantastic. However, this night was a total letdown. All the food was bland and tasted the same. We all had different meals but there was no spiciness to any of them. The poppadoms also tasted "burnt".

This place will become a favourite after our visit with friends recently. I could not fault anything - the food, service, ambiance was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals.

A recent meal has the dubious distinction of being both the most expensive Indian takeaway we have ever had - and the worst ! The poppadoms were burnt. The starter ( Seafood Selection ) was bland and soggy, as if it had been cooked earlier and barely reheated. Both the lamb and chicken main courses were under-cooked, the meat was dry and extremely chewy. After 20 minutes in the microwave on medium the meat was edible, but the sauces were still uninspiring. The side dishes were potentially good – plenty of freshly cooked vegetables but little if any seasoning / spices.

Treated ourselves to a Sunday night curry....used a 30% off voucher instead of going for the Sunday night meal-deal. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, the food is divine, starters, mains, naan, rice, dips and wine/drinks for £45 (3 people) Will be back soon!

Two of us tried this establishment which is on the outskirts of Chester near the Zoo. Food was delicious and freshly cooked. Portions were very generous - I couldn't finish my meal! The naan breads were the biggest (and best) I've ever had, one was enough for the two of us! Would thoroughly recommend.

First visit here and we will definitely be back. The food was amazing and decent sized portions myself and hubby couldn't finish our meals. Staff were really friendly and chatty. We had to leave pretty sharpish as had a babysitter so asked for the meal whilst we were eating our mains. The waiter thought there was something wrong because we did this and was worried we weren't happy. We explained about the babysitter and how we would definately be back. Great little gem and would recommend!

I visited this restaurant this weekend with 5 friends and to say the experience was great is an understatement. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing and the staff were doubly amazing. They made you feel like you were regulars. And on a side note the cleanliness of the restaurant was top class. Well done lads

We have been regulars here for years, we keep coming back because it's excellent. It's a lovely restaurant with friendly professional staff and delicious food.We'll continue to return whilst standards are so high. Very extensive gluten free menu too for those that require it.

First visit to Chester, was recommended this place by the locals. Turned up on a Saturday evening without booking, they were very accommodating and gave us a table for 2 within about 20 mins or so but was defo worth the wait! Friendly staff relaxing atmosphere and most importantly amazing food. Well done guys will definitely be coming back :)

Food was to die for. We had the jalfrezi, garlic chicken with a variation of breads and sides. I usually go up to the holdi or purple olive which is closer to home but k can honestly say this place as turned my head.I must also say we had take out but the customer service level was a 10 out of 10.Thanks... Really enjoyable night, very tasty food although flavours a little milder than we are used too. The service was very friendly and efficient. All the gluten free meals ( of which there were many) were identified on the main menu.Would definitely return in the future.

Having had numerous really good takeaways from here in the past, we decided to go and sit in for a change. It was actually pretty busy for a Weds night, but we had booked a table so no trouble.Service was swift, and on seating we had a drinks order taken and asked if we would like poppadums, which we did.We ordered mixed kebab, chicken dopiaza, butter chicken, rice and 2 x naan.The food was exceptional- really tasty and decent portion.Highly recommend

Had another wonderful meal at the Indian Brasserie - we always visit when we are in Chester. Most of our party had the chicken tikka masala - delicious as always. Everything about this place is consistent over the years - attentive staff, great food, clean and welcoming.

We arrived 15 minutes early for the table we'd booked, but it was no problem, we were greeted, seated and given menus.The staff are always friendly and will give advice on the meals if you need it.We had a Banquet for 4 and really enjoyed all aspects of it. The only criticism is there's always too much food and we feel guilty at wasting so much food!

A large menu at very good price. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. I was unused what to order so the waiter helped me and the meal was amazing which I tasted like heaven. The first time I have ever ate a fill Indian meal. The restaurant was modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. we loved this place and will be back next time. I highly recommend to stop for an evening meal if you are true Indian food lover.

Went for tea here last night, been here many times over the years and it never disappoints. They did my husband his favourite starter, even though it wasn't on the menu. Well done.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Chester! The staff are welcoming, friendly and very attentive. They even had the courtesy to ask if we wanted our mains straight after starters or would like a break. I wasn't sure what curry I wanted to order and was keen to try something new, I told the staff what sort of curries I liked and they chose me something based on that and it was AMAZING! The banquet is great value for money and includes everything you would want (popadoms, dips, starter, main, rice and naan)!Really reasonably priced at £150 for a table of 6 including drinks. Will be returning regularly.

It's not quality Indian food.Chicken tikka wasn't marinaded for long enough & sheek kebab looked pre frozen & heated up.Get the feeling they make up 1 lot of curry sauce & just chuck in more chilli powder into the hotter curries.Slow service. Wouldn't return.

Having shopped at Cheshire Oaks we googled nearby Indian restaurants and came up with this little gem as the nearest. What a delight it was having not eaten before but having eaten in the furry capital of Engald, Bradford, on many occasions it had something to live upto. Staff were very attentive for the start and it was nice to be seated by the waiter and have the napkins placed for you. We had the meat platter to start which was up on par but he mins were absolutely cracking. The chilli, garlic chicken was beautifully hot and was served in a raised dish and a tea light underneath to ieep it warm, nice touch. Plenty of proper flavour to accompany the chilli heat. My wife had the stuffed peppers which was equally well presented and flavoursome. Couldn't fault the premises, the staff, the price or more importantly the food. Will defiantly go again but maybe not do the shopping bit first!

This was our First visit to this restaurant. We had no problem parking as there are spaces directly outside. We hadn't booked and it looked pretty full but we were promptly seated and served drinks. The staff were very pleasant throughout our visit. All our food was good with good size portions. The only surprising thing is we were never asked if our meal was ok. ( maybe they know it's always ok so don't bother to ask ). We would not hesitate to return or recommend this place.

Regularly visit here and eat off the main menu, was expecting the buffet to be of lower standard being produced in large quantities, but it was really nice! Tasty starters, poppadoms, chutneys, and a wide selection of curries (prawn, lamb, chicken, veg) Great value at £8.95 too. Attentive service as usual. Will be back soon.

Yes a great take away the best in chester .i come her most saturdays for my take away and have a bit of banter with the 2 brothers .mad liverpool supporters haha never mind .anyway i have also eaten indoors as well and the food is just the same as the take out great .

Every time I have a take away from this place I am always pleasantly surprised as it seems to get better every time, even more tastier than the last! The balti is especially nice.The buffet on a Sunday is not so great unfortunately.

Always great food here. Staff friendly and the services is excellent. Buffet Lunch is good value for money and a good opportunity for the children to try different dishes. Never had a bad experience here and have returned many times.

My wife and I visited this week (19/2/17) and we had a very nice meal there. It was fairly busy so I would suggest booking..... The food and service was good but the saag aloo came in a tower shape with the spinach on the top....a traditional "mushy" saag aloo would have been better FOR ME. Having got that one complaint off my chest I would certainly recommend this place, the food was very good and the service was also good, the toilets clean and the prices very reasonable...... Worth a visit for sure......Enjoy....I'm sure you will.....We did.

Went here at 5.15pm, for my birthday curry, decided on the buffet when usually go to Indian restaurants. Not a good idea in this restaurant, the starters wer watery mango and even moreso yoghurt , there were 2 tablespoons of raiti none of which was nice. Then came the mains, obviously the food on offer was left over from a previous time , very little meat mostly what I would describe as "packet sauces" , even the potato and spinach curry was virtually tasteless. To add to the farce they charged £1.50 for 1 soda water and lime. DEFINITELY a restaurant to be avoided.

Great meal as always. It's great that they mark there menu as what is suitable for people who need to eat gluten free.
