Good service received for our family shopping which included lunch in cafe rouge after some much needed retail therapy

Family lunch this afternoon. The food was really nice and the service was spot on ! Nothing was too much for our waitress Nicky. All staff very friendly. Staff very quick to clean and sanitise tables after customers left. Toilets very clean . Will defiantly be back again soon !

Had a quick pit stop here with the Mrs whilst shopping, first day with doors back open and felt lovely and safe in here, with everything being clean and all staff wearing their masks, also our waitress Rachel was brilliant very attentive!

Called in here for a lunch break, first day able to eat indoors! Food, as always was first class and they found us a table even though we hadn't booked. Told us that as it was the first day open inside, we might have a 25 minute wait before our food was served. On the contrary, the food was served much quicker than that, maybe within 10 mins. All of the staff here are lovely and extremly friendly and approachable but the shining light was Heather who looked after us throughout. Always had a smile on her face and and treated us like old friends. Because of her, we will definitely return to eat here again as it was a very pleasant experience and an oasis of calm amongst all the busy shopping we did that day.

We ordered afternoon tea. This came out with things missing also a Camembert sandwich came out as grated cheese on a baguette. Their was no lettuce and no sauce. The food was tasteless the hot chocolate tasted of water. When I questioned the waiter about why half of the food was missing the manager came out and said she would deduct the price of the drinks. THESE ARE INCLUDED in the afternoon tea promotion. Nothing was done about it and I paid the full price. When I questioned the bill I was told the drink had been taken off which did not validate everything else. Lack of competence.

We fancied a breakfast/brunch out. Cafe Rouge has a brilliant breakfast range and the best service. It was a rainy morning so we knew it could be busy. We booked online and headed over. Still raining when we arrived, the booking in lady showed us our table and apologetically, mentioned the rain!We have been here before and Heather who looked after us last time, recognised us and picked up where the conversation left off on our last visit! This made us feel so welcome! Heather really looked after us, again! we had a great chat and enjoyed a gorgeous breakfast. We ordered extra coffees and a croissant before we braved the rain to shop! We definitely be back soon! Thank you!

Me and my partner chose to have a late lunch here on Saturday, it was no busier than a normal lunch service, however the entire experience was a disaster.It took 15mins for a drinks order to be taken, and another 5-10 mins before another waiter came back to retake the drinks order because of a miscommunication between the staff, this was slightly annoying but we didn’t think anything of it.Our drinks came, I ordered a Coke with no ice, but received a pint glass which was full to the brim with ice. The lack of attention to detail was apparent.Our food order was taken, we chose to start with garlic bread. This came out after a short wait with cheese on, something we expressly told the waitress we didn’t want- I am lactose intolerant. Not only was this inconvenient but the lack of attention by the staff was now not only annoying, but was a blatant disregard for guests allergies and intolerances. A replacement was sorted out for us, after I pointed out the error.Our mains came after a 45 min wait, we had ordered two sirloin steaks one rare and one medium rare. No steak knifes were provided for us. My partners steak was cooked medium well and mine was so well done it was practically inedible. No body came to check the food was okay until after we’d finished about 15 mins later, so we were unable to complain. You’d think at £19 a steak they’d be able to cook it in the right ball park, but no. We quickly got the bill, paid and left after spending £55 on the most disappointing meal and service either of us had had in a long time. We noticed three other tables around us, all consisting of older people had been given far more attentive service and had all been asked to leave a good trip advisor review. Myself and my partner were not, I’m assuming because the restaurant was more than aware of their many failings.Would not recommend, would not return.

Fabulous service from Heather &Denis. Went for lunch and a shop post Covid and having got married 4 days ago. Different kind of honeymoon to what we expected but had a lovely afternoon here instead. Lovely food and had a bottle of fizz. Value for money and very enjoyable

Good food and excellent service by Heather and Denise (not sure name correct!) Very attentive. Chicken great as usual shame the mussels are no longer on the set menu. Kresley's children's meal was enjoyed by her so a good birthday for her mum. Hope to be back soon

Nice food at Cheshire Oaks with a great table in the sunshine.Starters of garlic mushrooms and breaded camembert followed by chicken supreme and a burger as part of the 2 courses for £14.95 menu.Service was good though spoilt by a request for a 5 star review and a name check because they were have a bit of competition. Hence a 4.

came to cafe rouge over the weekend as it was our first time out after lockdown and we was very nervous to eat out, i must admit wasn’t disappointed by the food or the friendly staff. we was served by a lovely waitress called heather who absolutely put our mind at ease, she was very friendly and explained the menu really well - thank you

My sister and I visited yesterday for lunch after doing some shopping. We were greeted with an organised smile after booking online. Our server was Sheldon who was so nice and welcoming. Friendly and warm. Interested and engaging with the customers. The world needs more Sheldon's. We have had lunch here many times before and it was a lovely welcome back after being closed for so long with Covid. The food and drinks were just as good as ever and everything was well organised for outside dining within the current restrictions in place at the moment.

We ate here on Dec 22 after visiting my Mum who lives locally. The young gentleman who served us was polite, pleasant,friendly, professional and extremely helpful and efficient. (Apparently he had worked as a teacher in China and was working here now due to the pandemic etc.) Very Covid safe restaurant too. We had a three course Groupon deal which was great value and the Malbec wine was tasty and reasonably priced.

We popped in after Xmas shopping. The restaurant was set up very Covid safe and Jed our waiter was really friendly and helpful. I had the salad nicoise and it was lovely and my wife had a ceasars salad which she enjoyed and a cocktail. Great value great service couldn't really ask for much more.

While at Cheshire Oaks we had lunch at Café Rouge. The staff were all lovely and attentive. In particular Rachel our server was very friendly and looked after us very well. We had Croque Madame with fries and coffee. This was just right for us and tasted great. A very nice atmosphere. The taes were separated by clear screens re Covid precautions. These added a feeling of protection without being intrusive. Well done Cafe Rouge. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to returning soon.

I have been going to Cafe Rouge for years, but this was my first visit to Cheshire Oaks. Despite having just reopened after lockdown, and with Covid restrictions in place, Calvin, Terri and Heather did an excellent job of welcoming us warmly. I am not sure my 18 year son was so keen when they sang happy birthday to him, but it was a very kind thought.Moules frites and steak frites were done to perfection, and the sweets were delicious as well. A great night out under difficult circumstances, but I cannot fault the service offered.

Amazing! Great service and food, really safe comfortable environment with ambiance.We had the snowman afternoon tea and a Hendricks tea pot. Really tasty and good quality.We was looked after, the staff are a great team.Special thanks to Heather, and Kelvin. This truly uplifted our spirits and was great to visit.

Jed, our waiter was attentive but not over bearing. We had delicious burgers that were served quickly. It was a great idea to start here before shopping as Jed helped us to work out our route to the shops that we wanted to visit

So glad to see the restaurant busy tonight with all going on. The manageress sat us first after waiting at the door for a couple of minutes. It was great to see Jed back again who was a giggle as usual. Considering it was busy the food was up to its high standard and everything came quickly. Me and my husband were just glad to get out and about really! Hopefully we can come again in the new year.

On entering the restaurant Kelvin was the perfect host polite and attentive. Jess was our server informative and cheerful. Was meet at the door by a lovely man named Calvin who was very polite and welcoming, he seated us at our table and introduced us to Jess who was also very friendly and welcoming, Jess came over and took our order and because my mum has had a operation she can only eat small meals so we asked Jess if it would be okay to have the starter and menu from the set meal and for it to be brought out at the same time, this was not an issue at all and Jess made sure this would happen. Our drinks were brought out by a lovely man called Jamie who was also so lovely and polite. Then not long after 5 minute approximately Calvin came out with our food which was beautiful. We ate our food and Jess checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and the food was nice which we appreciated. We finished and our table was cleared by Jess as and when needed. Beautiful restaurant and amazing staff and a good price too lovely break from shopping. Would really recommend any to visit.
