We were a group of 7 friends, celebrating a special occasion. We had a fabulous meal at Pacinos.
We had 2 courses each and all the food was freshly made and delicious.
The staff are all lovely too. We will defo be back.
So we moved up from London in August 2023 and have been wanting for tasting menus since, its out couples thing. Danoi was our first "'tup Norff" menu post getting settled.
The restaurant is all about the tasting menu. Of particular note is the wine pairing which picks up very nicely on the on the soil and water properties of the Tuscan region paired really well with great food. In general the premium wine pairing is worth going for - we tried both Classic and Premium on our visit, we noticed only one exception here. Of particular note for us was:
The La Vellutata (Potato Veloute/black caviar/white chocolate) paired with 2021 Langhe DOC "Nascetta" - this was the classic collection exception - it was excellent and especially pulled on undertones of glacial run off water filtered by CLay and Glacial deposit - took me back to mountaineering, a great memory.
The Beef Tartare served with a mustard Gelato was a new taste for us and both loved it. The pairing with the 2015 Langhe DOC "Quatr Nas" made us both pause to appreciate what we had just had.
Another pairing worth a mention was the Ox Cheek paired with 2016 Barlo DOCG "Vigna D'la Roul"
The cheese course is technically fantastic but for me was too much, we should have shared one between 2. It was worth being stuffed senseless though for the pairing of the 2016 Barolo DOCG "Vigna D'la Roul"
Overall a fantastic experience. We did also visit the family's Gelato shop the next day, also worth a visit and really made us see where the Mustard Gelato came from - a great extra detail forming an overall fantastic experience.
The service was excellent. But the food! We went for the £25 per head deal and a child's meal. The curries were bland and overpowered with coriander and cardamon. The chapati was thick and tasted like it had been reheated and not cooked fresh. The rice again was strongly flavoured with cardamon. The paneer curry was sweet and had no depth of flavour. The chicken curries, although they had different sauces, tasted the same. The fenugreek fries or cubes of potato were okay, but I couldn't taste or smell the fenugreek. Overall, although this claims to be an Indian restaurant, it's so far from authentic Indian food.

We had the best time at the bottomless brunch. Huge choice of cocktails and drinks, the pizza was delicious and staff were just brilliant. Service was very fast for both drinks and pizza. The staff created such a fun atmosphere and we loved the music quiz. I don't think any other bottomless brunch could compete with this one.
Came here for breakfast in late December. Used to go to the bromborough cafe many years ago and glad Chester is still going. Friendly service and busy but got a table by the window. Food was excellent. A tasty full English and French toast with bacon and syrup. All served hot and with top quality ingredients. Always enjoyed going here and will certainly return
We went for a drink one time and vowed to return to try the menu. Last month it was was for a Sunday lunch. It was the better than any we’ve had anywhere else. So next time, we had the Out of Africa menu. Totally blown away. It’s more than just dining. And totally brilliant. Unique, friendly and good value. Recommended!
Lovely little place for great coffee and delicious food. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. Can't recommend this place highly enough
Sadly, rated as poor. Which is a massive disappointment because we've eaten her before and this review isn't reflective of past experience. It's usually really good. But....
A few of our party were 15 minutes late. The staff were attentive and made sure we had water, menu's and drinks. When the rest of our part arrived we ordered but then learned that only 2 of one dish was available having wanted to order 3. No big deal, so we ordered Ribs from the specials menu....also not available. Not to worry! A Cheeseburger to the rescue. You guessed it, no cheese burgers. Once we'd managed to order some meals that were available once of our party asked if they could substitute normal chips with sweet potato fries. A few moments later a member of staff arrived to inform us that they didn't actually offer them!!
We were the last table in our area who still hadn't received our food after 45mins - 1 hour. The staff did apologise for the wait when we asked for the bill but offered no update during the wait.
The only saving grace for the visit is that the food was good.
Just love this place great food service perfect and all the staff helpful
The Sunday lunch is totally the best..
My son just visited too with his friends as a birthday treat, they too loved the experience.
We’ve been here three times now and felt the need to give them a glowing review!!!
We’ve eaten in, and taken away, and the food here is top notch.
How they are not the top Indian restaurant in the Whitchurch area I do not know.
They ARE the best Indian restaurant in Whitchurch, hands down! 👏🏻
Visited for a birthday breakfast with 7 friends.
The cafe is gorgeous inside and is situated in a lovely balcony. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was great and there were excellent options for gluten free (two of us are coeliac) and veggie (two of us are vegetarian). Would recommend!
